The concept of traveling was similar to teleportation, in that it allowed anyone to go anywhere as long as they envisioned themselves going there... or at least, that’s how Ulysses understood it.

He didn’t dare to think that he understood everything about the domain of traveling, but given his current situation, he had no choice but to leverage the little he understood with the essence within him.

But he didn’t just leverage the essence of the ancestor within him.

He also leveraged that of the Lord of Flesh and Blood as a marker.

’Get to wherever the origin of this essence is located.’

It was more a wish than anything else yet sohow, it worked.

Ulysses opened his eyes to find himself and the submarine on a stretch of land covered in grotesque trees covered with flesh-like barks and bony branches with various organs hanging off the branches like fruits.

But his attention didn’t linger on these things and instead, quickly fell on the towering tree ahead.

It was even larger than the one that had appeared in Ra’as which caused Ulysses to wonder just how large the tree was.

Chances were that its size could rival the size of an entire continent which was frightening as it ant that rely a sliver of the Lord of Flesh and Blood had pushed the entire continent of Ra’as to the edge.

Ulysses couldn’t see its end, neither sideways nor above.

Its roots were spread across the entire island and he could sense that the submarine was currently on one of the roots.

Gulping hard, Ulysses had a feeling that the mont he left the submarine, he would be in for a tough ti.

But he couldn’t stay in the submarine and so, with no other choice, he put on the helt the Fixer had made for him and made his way to the exit only to pause as he seed to have forgotten sothing.

He rushed back to the steering wheel to find Ana’s gift hanging off of it.

Clutching it tightly, he made his way outside to et with the Lord of Flesh and Blood.

Victoria had just finished creating the summoning circle when a golden flash erupted next to her, blinding her briefly.

By the ti she regained her sight, she found Elena standing next to her, accompanied by an odd fellow that though human in appearance, didn’t have a life force.

Or rather, he did, but it was definitely not like a normal human’s.

"Who is this?" Victoria asked.

Elena was about to respond when the Fixer left her side and made his way over to where Alex was ditating.

"Stop there!" Victoria exclaid but the Fixer didn’t stop, forcing her to make a move.

She bridged the gap in an instant and grabbed his shoulder.

"Let go of , you vile creature." The Fixer coldly said with Victoria responding in kind.

"I said stop."

"That’s enough," Elena said as she rushed to separate the two.

Just then, a wave of negative emotions swept past them, drawing the attention of The Fixer and Elena to its origin.

"What is that?" Elena asked.

The Fixer was even more shaken as he muttered. "This is what happens when the Goddess is not around. Vile creatures turn this continent into their playground."

Elena turned to Victoria, urging her to explain.

"I don’t know what it is, neither does Alex. But we are trying to ta it."

"Are you insane?"

"This is Alex’s decision."

"It doesn’t change the fact that it’s insane!"

"We must kill that entity now!" The Fixer urgently said as he prepared to take out a weapon, the sa one the Goddess had given to him.

Just then, Alex’s eyes shot open, and his aura imdiately changed, causing the entire area around them to darken in response.

The Fixer inexplicably froze, perhaps shaken by the aura he gave off.

Elena was stunned as well with Victoria the only one to reveal a brilliant smile.

This was the aura of the Dark Lord she loved and served.

Of course, she could guess that Alex wasn’t truly the Dark Lord and had rely envisioned his current state for a specific reason.

It beca clear what that reason was as he tainted one of the roots connected to the statue of the naked woman with his essence before his aura switched back to normal.

Alex staggered back, almost falling to the ground if not for Victoria rushing to his aid.

"Are you alright?" Victoria asked.

Alex nodded while holding his head.

It hurt... a lot, which left him feeling lethargic but that wasn’t the only reason.

During his attempt to envision his yin triumphing over Yang, he was once again transported to that field with Adrian and in that mont, he held a frightening thought.

The more he envisioned his yin triumphing over Yang, the more he turned into the Dark Lord and the more he beca the Dark Lord, the less his chances of surviving against the Hero of Light.

As depressing as that was, Alex understood that it wasn’t completely bad.

Due to what he’d experienced, he had figured out a way to survive the inevitable battle against Adrian.

He needed to avoid becoming the Dark Lord, only then would he be able to avoid the fate associated with that title.

But it wasn’t just as simple as that.

As it was, the entirety of the vampire population in Ra’as believed in him which solidified his identity as the Dark Lord in the aether and ant that his fate as the Dark Lord was also being set in stone.

This ant he needed to not only change that completely, but he also needed a new title to replace the title of the Dark Lord.

But then, the question of how he was ant to do that ca to be and for now, he had no idea how.

"Alexander Regulus." A voice called out to him, jolting him from his thoughts.

Furrowing his brows, Alex glanced to the side to find the Fixer approaching him.
