"What’s going on?" Nadia muttered in confusion as she stared at her tiny palms, clearly struggling to make sense of her current predicant.

Alex pursed his lips, unsure of how to respond as he had no idea what was going on.

The best he could tell was that this was a result of Baba Yaga’s domain, but then how co she’d managed to adjust reality to such an extent, turning them into children?

If she had much more up her sleeves, that ant that they had no hope of winning.

Just then, a string of mories rushed into his mind, causing him to blank out for a mont, with Nadia holding up slightly better than him.

By the ti he ca to, he had a deep frown on his face as he quickly went through the mories in his mind.

"Isn’t this Hansel and Gretel?" He blurted out instinctively, catching Nadia off guard.

"What did you say?"

Alex glanced at Nadia while struggling to make sense of why he ca across a fairy tale from Earth in Eventide.

It made no darn sense unless... the thought that Eventide was Earth for a mont flashed through his mind before he quickly shook his head, denying the thought.

Earth was round while Eventide had been proven to be flat.

Apart from that, the Lightbringer and the Nighteye were completely different from the sun and moon on Earth.

The differences were so much that he couldn’t find a reason to explain why the two would be the sa.

But then the question remained: why was he currently Hansel in the fairy tale Hansel and Gretel?

Another thought ca to mind.

What if he wasn’t the only person to have traveled from Earth to Eventide?

What if, just like him, Baba Yaga was a transmigrator?

The thought alone left him lost in his thoughts, unsure of how to feel about the prospects of eting another Earthling.

Just then, he felt a hand on his shoulder, jolting him from his thoughts.

"Is everything alright?" Nadia asked worriedly, having noticed that he wasn’t himself.

Alex nodded with a fake smile. "Mn, we need to make a move."

"I’m hungry."

"Sa here," Alex replied while hearing his stomach growl with a vengeance.

"What do we do?"

"We need to look for the rest."

"But..."

"I know, hunger. But I promise you that we cannot let our hunger dictate our actions right now."

Albeit unwilling, Nadia knew that Alex had a point, and so, she agreed, after which the duo took off, hopeful that they would co across their teammates.

The waters moved in tandem with his singing, its waves growing higher and higher as Ulysses sang at the top of his lungs before ultimately stopping once he’d finished.

Monts later, the fish appeared at the seashore.

It appeared like a normal fish, but its scales were multicolored with a glass-like sheen, allowing it to refract light when placed at an angle.

Needless to say, it was a beautiful fish.

You called for .

The fish spoke directly into Ulysses’ mind though he didn’t feel much of anything.

"I wish to make another wish."

And what, mortal, is your wish?

"It’s not but my wife who wants to gain the power of deities. So I wish for her to beco a goddess."

Impudence!... Do you think yourself worthy of such!... For a re mortal to dare covet the power of the gods!... Do you not fear death!?

"I dare not covet it. It’s my wife, she is the one."

Silence!... You are at fault for daring to show your face here and so for that reason, you will not be spared the punishnt for daring to seek the power of gods.

"No, but..."

Depart from !... You and your wife will suffer for your greed.

With that, the fish returned to the turbid sea, and the next mont, sores filled with pus appeared all over Ulysses’ body, causing him to cry out in anguish.

Elena tried to open up a dinsional gate to leave but alas, she was unable to do so.

And so, she shivered all alone in that dark alleyway where not even stray animals dared to enter.

She tried to walk but frostbite left her unable to go very far before she collapsed, losing almost all her energy in the process.

Just as she tried to get back up, a matchbox fell out of her pocket and she picked it up, quickly discovering five matchsticks in it.

Instinctively, she took out the first one and lighted it, providing her with so warmth in the unforgiving weather.

Ana backed away in fright as the red eyes stared at her, seemingly sizing her up.

In response, she looked around, hoping to find a weapon she could use to fight off the beast while hoping that it wasn’t Baba Yaga.

The next mont, the red eyes moved, and its owner revealed itself to be a ridiculously tall wolf-life creature with a humanoid physique.

"What are you?" Ana muttered instinctively, half driven by caution and half driven by fear.

Gulping hard, she didn’t expect a response, but surprisingly, she got one anyway.

"I am known by many nas, but you may call Wolf. I own this forest."

"I see. Well, Mr. Wolf, apologies for walking through your territory."

"I have no problems with that, however, I do have a request."

"What request?"

"Would you like to join to pick so flowers?"

The knock at the window persisted, leaving Victoria no choice but to pick up a tal rod lying at the fireplace before approaching.

Then, she opened it, revealing a forest outside, but that wasn’t what caught her eye.

Instead, what did was the horrible-looking old lady standing before the window, carrying a basket of freshly picked apples.

Blinking repeatedly in confusion, Victoria intoned. "Can I help you?"

In response, the woman asked a question of her own. "Might you be interested in an apple?"

"... No?"
