Sinbad walked up the steps forged from coral leading to the temple religiously, reciting a short prayer to the goddess as he took each step.

By the ti he arrived at the final step, he had recited the sa prayer a hundred tis, causing him to feel the Goddess’s blessings.

Ahead stood a large obelisk forged from white stone which was found at seabeds.

The obelisk, which stood tall within a pool of crystal clear water, had tales of the goddess etched onto its surface, with its pointed tip holding the emblem of the goddess, the trident.

Around the obelisk were priests of the Goddess, wearing nothing as they danced in a circle, chanting songs in praise of the Ruler of the Deep Sea.

Humanoid females, wearing only undergarnts, were seated outside the dancing circle, playing instrunts in tandem with the priests, reflecting a scene that was as beautiful as it was strange to watch.

Sinbad shed his clothes, one at a ti as he took steady steps forward, until he arrived just outside the dancing circle.

With joy in his heart, he joined the circle and began to dance as well, hardly bothered about the eyes that fell upon him.

As far as he was concerned, only one gaze mattered and it didn’t take long before it erged.

Everything else seed to vanish in that instant as the sound of calm waves echoed in his ear while the environnt turned damp.

In the next mont, he fell face-first toward the pool in which the obelisk was erected, but there was no splash, and almost like he was crossing a threshold, he found himself in a different space.

The ground below wasn’t solid and was instead crystal clear liquid, the sa as the sky above.

There were white stone pillars erected in a circle that seed closer and yet seed so far.

"Oh my goddess," Sinbad remarked in a reverent tone. "I have returned bearing good news."

A mont later, the crystal clear water below rippled, the sa as above, after which, She appeared.

She was a monstrous rmaid with dragon scales and reptilian eyes.

Her hair was made of lightning tendrils and she wielded a trident in her right hand.

She was the Goddess Ninmah, the Goddess of the Deep Sea.

Sinbad fell to his knees, his eyes betraying a trace of madness as he beheld the beauty of the one he worshiped.

Tell .

"It is as you said, my goddess. The Drowned Palace is connected to the Crimson Depths, but it is not as dangerous as the other places. I returned without injury. I believe we can breach the seal using it as a focal point."

You have done well. How would you like to be rewarded?

"Oh my goddess, allow to feel you as before. Let bask in your glorious embrace and indulge myself in your love."

As you wish.

And so, her hair moved like tentacles, quickly breaching the distance to arrive beside Sinbad’s head and in the next instant, penetrating it with reckless abandon.

Instead of pain, he felt pleasure and due to that, a tasteful moan escaped his lips.

/Sowhere underneath the tunnels close to Florence/

Nadia found it difficult to regain herself even as she no longer had to be in the presence of the Daemon who had tried to end her life.

Perhaps, if not for her incredible regeneration which ca as a result of her Dhampir physiology, she would not have been able to remain conscious given her current state.

Taking deep breaths, she was able to get back on her feet, though her skin remained slightly purplish, sa with Lucia, who was still finding it difficult to close her wounds.

"I didn’t think I’d be so helplessly outmatched," Lucia admitted as she got to her feet.

Nadia offered no response as she took yet another breath and cast a spell in deviltongue.

Commutatio: Xistora

It took several seconds before there was a response, a thick fog arising from the emptiness of space after which a tired voice was heard.

What do you want?

Lucia felt the sudden urge to take a nap as the fog enveloped her but she was able to stay awake as she quickly raised her level of caution.

Nadia replied. "I wish to traverse DreamWorld and communicate with a person via dreams."

What do you offer?

"A year of my life."

Offer sothing else. Your life is too important to give up.

"Ten years of my life." Lucia suddenly remarked.

Nadia was surprised as she glanced at her but ultimately said nothing as Xistora replied.

Very well.

A mont later, Lucia’s youthful appearance seed to age by a bit, causing her to switch from looking like she was in her early twenties to looking like she was in her late thirties.

She gasped as she dropped to her knees, with Nadia moving to support her, only for Lucia to raise a hand, stopping her.

"Go quickly, ti is of the essence."

Nodding in understanding, Nadia turned and made her way into where the fog originated, only to find herself in a different space with thick fog obscuring everything.

Reaching out, she uttered a na. "Anderson."

***

Father Anderson was praying in one of the smaller cloisters within the Basilica that was only to be accessed by priests of Razan heritage.

Just then, he heard a voice and his soul stirred in response.

Instead of rejecting this sudden call within his spirit, he accepted it and the next mont, he found himself in a foggy area and ahead, a figure shrouded in black.

"You are finally here." He remarked like he’d been waiting for a long ti.

"It is ti, Anderson. Light the beacon. Let Kastarus know the aning of a disaster."

"Yes, master, your wish is my command."

And then, he returned to the cloister, a brilliant smile plastered on his lips.

He got to his feet and made his way out of the cloister, taking steady steps while reciting a prayer in his heart.

If one listened closely, they would quickly realize that the prayer was not toward the Only One God, but toward the Dark Cloaked Devil.
