The training hall was bathed in silence that persisted seconds after Alex had spoken with Alejandro staring at him wide-eyed.
None said anything as ti trudged on, their thoughts unknown as they regarded each other.
Soon enough, Alejandro spoke. "I don’t believe I heard you right. Repeat what you said again."
"I said, Aragon shall be warring with Zion."
Clang
Alex barely reacted quick enough to block Alejandro’s quick strike.
A second later and the cleaver would have drawn blood.
"I doubt sneak attacks are the way of a warrior."
"I wouldn’t attempt it if I knew you wouldn’t be able to handle it." Alejandro pointedly said before withdrawing his weapon, a sour look marring his hairy visage.
He turned away and walked a few ters back, his head down as he pondered Alex’s words.
Alex didn’t see the need to rush him as indeed his words were a bit too heavy to swallow.
It would have worried him even more had Alejandro readily accepted.
War was no joking matter and Alex was asking him to start one.
No sane leader would do so without concrete reason, of course, Alex was well aware of what an insane leader was capable of.
Soon enough, Alejandro managed to find his words as he turned to face Alex. "How does invading the Empire help you?"
"Calm yourself. You aren’t really going to invade, I’m sure the empire already has enough on its hands with the uprising in the East. However, I need you to launch coordinated attacks."
"Why?"
"To draw the attention of the Order. I need them to focus their attention on you."
Alejandro pursed his lips, ruminating over Alex’s words yet again before replying. "This is dangerous. Though I hardly think the Order would be able to cause problems for my people, I worry about the attention it would draw from the Great Families and most importantly, the Emperor."
"Which is why I said coordinated attacks. The Great Families won’t act unless you do sothing really serious considering they have to focus on the Eastern Highlands and the Emperor shouldn’t make a move unless you harm an important part of the Empire."
"And then?... What am I to tell my people when they ask why we are carrying out such acts?"
"To be honest... the truth. There’s nothing more compelling."
Alejandro sighed. "I knew you were crazy but this crazy... it never did cross my mind."
"Regardless, you are stuck with till further notice," Alex remarked with a smirk.
"Indeed, I am. Fine then, you helped free the Wandering Forest from the corruption plaguing it. It is only right I help in your endeavor as well."
"A wonderful decision, Rey Alejandro. I promise you won’t regret it."
Alejandro snorted. "I regret it already."
"A sha," Alex remarked as he stabbed his staff into the sand. "Now then, if you’ll excuse , I have a proxy to catch."
"Before that, I have a question." Alejandro suddenly remarked.
"Hmm?"
"Your plan to take on the Supre Order... it’s more than just my people causing disturbances, right?"
"Of course, don’t worry, you won’t have to mourn another one of your n again."
And with that assurance, Alejandro was able to rest easy, watching as Alex exited the hall before letting out a tight breath.
It would seem he would be quite busy for the next couple of days.

Lucius was unable to sleep even after the fireworks had died down and the city had begun to sleep.
Instead, it was during this period he was most sensitive to the palpable danger in the air.
He’d seen those that returned with the Rey and that simple glance was enough to tell him that they were dangerous elents to be wary of.
The prospect of them coming after him wasn’t lost to Lucius so he’d already partly transford, prepared to imdiately complete it at the first sign of trouble though it was beginning to look like there would be no need for that.
But Lucius couldn’t afford to relax and so even as he undid his partial transformation to give his pneuma so much-deserved rest, he still ard himself with a few enchantnts he’d prepared for such an occasion.
Suddenly, the scenery outside seed to darken and imdiately Lucius leaped out of bed, his eyes scanning the area for potential danger.
A simple sniff was all it took for him to make an assessnt... he was under attack!
He imdiately activated the enchantnts he’d put in place essentially turning his bedroom into a fortress but even that wasn’t enough as the darkness outside prodded the barrier created by the enchantnts, seeking a way through before ultimately corroding it.
"Damn it." Lucius cursed but he knew he couldn’t leave the room.
Leaving would surely end in his death.
Only in this room could he be assured of safety.
He considered calling out for help but he quickly stopped himself as he could already guess that the Beastn had sold him out.
Under normal circumstances, he shouldn’t even be in danger.
With that thought, Lucius decided on the next best thing.
He took out a small glass bead from his pocket and rubbed it vigorously between his fingers.
Seconds later, it ca on and from it, an aged voice was heard.
"Yes, what is it, Lucius?"
Ignoring formalities, Lucius imdiately reported. "The Beastn are compromised!... They are working with an unknown group. Send help!... Send help!"
"What?"
Before Lucius could repeat himself, the entire room froze, and seconds after, a snap was heard after which black and white flas erged to burn away all enchantnts resident in Lucius’s room.
Only after the enchantnts were gone did the front door swing open, revealing Alex as well as Victoria and Ana on the other side.
With his hands in his pocket, Alex stepped into the room, scrutinizing it as he casually comnted. "He was quite careful."
"I don’t get it. We could have attacked imdiately. Why give him the chance to report back?" Ana remarked.
Alex chuckled before calmly replying. "It’s simple, Ana. I want them to know we are coming."
