Zhengi’s eyes filled with disbelief at Kaizen’s words.

"Little brat, stop bluffing. You’ll be dead soon!"

But minutes passed, and Kaizen was still standing—unhard, alive, and steady. Even the traces of poison on his hands had all but vanished.

"How... how is this possible?"

Zhengi’s confusion deepened. He knew how potent her poison was; countless targets, including seasoned Nen users, had succumbed to it. No ordinary person could resist it—certainly not for long.

Yet, here was Kaizen, unscathed.

"This doesn’t make any sense... Why?"

He was painfully aware of his own abilities. Many had fallen to his poison-laced hands—people stronger and more skilled than this young man. No living being should have survived such a toxin.

anwhile, Kaizen’s aura surged, flooding into his Killer Queen. As his aura thickened, the conjured beast grew more ferocious, launching relentless attacks. Zhengi struggled to keep up. His movents beca sluggish, the poison that should’ve weakened him useless.

"Boom!"

Killer Queen drove a fist into Zhengi’s chest.

"Crack!"

His ribs shattered under the force. He stumbled backward, almost collapsing but sohow stayed upright, though barely. Pain seared through his body, making it impossible to recover.

Before he could catch his breath, the next attack ca.

"Boom!"

Zhengi slamd into the ground, his body half-buried in the dirt.

Killer Queen leapt into the air.

"Bam!"

Both of its knees crushed into his torso, driving him deeper into the earth.

"Pfft!"

Blood gushed from Zhengi’s mouth. His vision blurred, and his strength ebbed away, leaving him with little more than mories of his past.

Then, realization struck him like lightning.

"I... rember now."

He coughed, forcing herself to look at Kaizen through the pain.

"This skill... it belongs only to mbers of the Zoldyck family... The Zoldycks!"

Kaizen stepped closer, his gaze cold and indifferent.

"You’re... Zoldyck."

The na brought clarity and strange relief to Zhengi’s face.

"I see... It was a Zoldyck all along," he whispered, his voice a mix of admiration and resignation.

"Not bad... I’ve killed so many in my life... countless people... but to et my end at the hands of the Zoldyck family... I can finally rest in peace..."

Before he could finish his thought, his breath ceased. His body went limp, and his aura faded to nothing.

Kaizen stood over his lifeless form, unbothered. He thodically gathered the items from him and his companions’ bodies. Zoldycks rarely wasted ti looting the dead, but Kaizen saw no reason to leave valuable things behind.

"These prisoners managed to stash quite a bit of money after getting out of jail..."

Later, the paynt for the assassination mission was wired to Kaizen’s unregistered account.

"A clean five hundred million Jenny," he muttered.

He did so quick calculations. He’d already accumulated over a hundred million from past contracts. After covering travel and other expenses, his funds were still growing steadily.

"With what I collected off their bodies, I’m sitting at eight hundred million Jenny now. Just two hundred million more to hit a billion."

Kaizen smirked. "That shouldn’t take long."

Kaizen checked into a hotel in the nearest city and pulled out a laptop, stowed away inside Killer Queen’s conjured space.

Once logged into the assassin’s network, he browsed through the available contracts.

He quickly found what he was looking for—a high-level target with a bounty exceeding three hundred million Jenny.

"The last group was too easy. I need sothing more challenging..."

But money wasn’t Kaizen’s only motivation. He had another purpose—to hone his skills. He knew that true combat wasn’t found in the structured fights of Heavens Arena. Too many fighters held back to avoid losing points, and the arena’s rules stifled creativity. Worse still, every match was recorded and publicized. Kaizen preferred to keep his abilities a secret.

Half a month later, Kaizen returned to Heavens Arena.

"Kaizen!"

A young girl, Lina, ran toward him, her eyes wide with surprise and relief.

These past few weeks had been harrowing for her. She feared for Kaizen’s safety and worried constantly about her father Carlisle, who had dragged her into the arena’s brutal world.

Kaizen gave her a brief nod.

"Lina, you’ve figured out what happened to you by now, haven’t you?"

Lina bit her lip and nodded slowly.

Kaizen’s tone softened, though only slightly.

"I’ve found a way to help you, but... there’s no guarantee it’ll work."

He walked to the window and pulled out his phone. Dialing a number, he waited a mont before speaking.

"Grandpa Zeno," Kaizen said calmly, "I’ve secured the ten rings you asked for."

"I sent the details to your email. Go to the location I ntioned and let them know I sent you."

A brief pause followed on the other end of the line before Kaizen added, "Thanks, Grandpa."

He hung up, slipping the phone back into his pocket. His expression remained unreadable as he turned his attention back to the assassin’s network, ready to pursue the next challenge.
