Everyone exited the armory.

With Kinlf’s defeat, the armory incident had co to an end.

Kaizen instructed Altan to halt the cyber attack on the armory, bringing closure to the mission.

This also increased Kaizen’s progress as an Observer by five percent.

"By this rate...

"There are still three restricted areas left. If I visit and analyze each one, I can absorb up to 50% of the characteristics of the underworld elite."

"I’ll be halfway there."

"To reach full synchronization in Orion City alone—it might take less ti than I originally estimated."

Returning to Greed Manor, Kaizen reflected on his progress.

...

The Next Day

The manor was lively when Greed, Kaizen’s ntor, returned.

"Mr. Greed," Kaizen greeted respectfully.

Greed gave a small smile as he approached.

"I’ve heard about your exploits these past few days. Congratulations—you’ve passed the assessnt and officially beco a candidate for the Seven Deadly Sins. On top of that, your performance during the armory mission was comndable."

Many skilled Nen users had been assigned to the armory mission, but Kinlf’s desperate counterattack had been devastating.

"A C-level Nen user with a death wish can wreak unimaginable havoc," Greed remarked. "The fact you survived is proof of your resilience."

Kaizen nodded. "I heard Leech and Rabid Dog handled Kinlf?"

Greed’s eyes glimred with admiration. "Indeed. As expected of the Shadow Beasts, they subdued soone of Kinlf’s caliber with ease. I hope one day I can wield power like theirs... maybe even beco one of them."

Greed paused before shifting the topic. "By the way, Kaizen, didn’t you say you wanted to et Carlisle’s ntor?"

"Yes," Kaizen replied.

"Then let’s go. I’ll take you to him at Laboratory No. 2."

Journey to Laboratory No. 2

Waters, the chauffeur, had already prepared the car at the gate of the manor.

"Kaizen," Greed said sternly as the car pulled away, "the No. 2 Laboratory is highly restricted. Do not wander around. Even I don’t dare to stray from the guided paths. Just follow closely. Understood?"

"Yes."

The car journey took them to a remote forest on the outskirts of Orion City. Dense woods lood ahead, with piles of discarded junk scattered about—reminiscent of the desolation Kaizen had seen in teor City.

"Get out," Greed instructed as the car ca to a stop.

Kaizen and Greed stepped out, greeted by a young man who approached swiftly.

"Master Greed, this way," the man said before leading them deeper into the woods.

Suddenly, the ground beneath them cracked open, revealing a hidden staircase.

Kaizen followed Greed and the guide down the damp, dimly-lit steps.

"So, this is where the laboratory’s been hidden... No wonder Altan couldn’t find it."

The underground atmosphere was oppressive, with the faint sounds of dripping water adding to the eerie ambiance. Kaizen’s aura tensed instinctively, but he focused on the task at hand.

eting Carlisle’s ntor

The guide finally stopped in front of a heavy, steel door.

"Master Greed, the teacher is waiting inside."

Greed entered the room first, Kaizen trailing behind him.

An old man sat at a desk, his expression sharp and his smile unnervingly cold.

"Ah, Greed," the old man said. "You’re here."

Kaizen bowed. "It’s an honor to et you, Mr. Dandins."

Dandins’ gaze shifted to Kaizen. "You’re the one taking care of Carlisle’s daughter?"

"Yes."

Dandins sighed. "Carlisle wasn’t the most talented of my disciples, but his determination was unmatched. If only he’d lived, his future would’ve been limitless."

He paused before continuing. "Thank you for looking after his daughter. As Carlisle’s teacher, I owe you a debt of gratitude."

With that, Dandins retrieved a small vial filled with a mysterious liquid.

"This is a potion I’ve developed," he explained. "In dire situations, it can grant you temporary strength—enough to escape or defeat your enemy."

Kaizen glanced at Greed, who gave a small nod of approval. Kaizen stepped forward to accept the vial.

"Thank you," Kaizen said sincerely.

The Hidden Lab

Dandins stood up and motioned toward another door.

"Greed, let’s discuss our matter in private."

Greed nodded. "Kaizen, stay here. Don’t touch anything."

"Understood, Mr. Greed."

The two n entered a side room, the heavy door slamming shut behind them. Kaizen was now alone in the chamber.

The room was sparsely furnished, with a few chairs, a computer, and nurous surveillance caras discreetly positioned in the corners.

"They’re watching my every move..."

Kaizen hesitated before sitting down in a chair near the computer. To his surprise, the computer was turned on and connected to the external network.

"Altan should be able to track this signal."

Kaizen quickly opened a browser, navigating to a ga website as a cover. Within monts, Altan detected the signal and began an invasive operation.

Altan’s Prowess

Altan’s technology, decades ahead of the current world, infiltrated the laboratory’s systems unnoticed.

Surveillance caras, recordings, and files were all under Altan’s control in re monts. The No. 2 Laboratory, shrouded in secrecy for years, was no longer impenetrable.
