"An offer? I never knew that inside the stronghold, instead of the ads coming on when one is online, they have actually leveled up to making calls." Jack stated, completely dumbfounding everybody that was listening to the conversation.
"Ads?" The stage two superhuman was dumbfounded by what Jack had said. After all, he was here talking about sothing serious, but, Jack was taking this as a joke.
"Forget it. I'm not interested in whatever product or benefits you are trying to offer . Anyway, I hope that you don't continue calling because of sothing as useless as this." Jack said after hearing that dumbfounded question.
Imdiately after that, he ended the call. He was not willing to continue wasting ti talking to a group of advertisers, when he still had a lot of things that he needed to learn.
The stage two superhuman was left speechless after the call was ended. He had not expected that Jack was going to take sothing as serious as this, as an advertisent joke.
It was true that the level of advertisent inside the Stronghold domain was improved, and was at an advanced level as compared to the normal world. But, it had not yet reached the level where they were going to call everybody, just to advertise whatever product it was that they wanted to sell.
After a few seconds, the stage two superhuman made a call once again. He had been dumbfounded previously, not being given a chance by Jack to tell him everything clearly.
Since this was sothing that was supposed to be kept as the secret, he was not just going to say it regardless. After all, currently, he was not sure about the location that Jack was in, so, how cold they just discuss sothing as sensitive as that?
But, it seed that Jack was not going to understand sothing like this, unless he explained everything clearly.
But, he had just made a call, when the call was imdiately ended from the other end. A little frustrated, he made a call the second ti, but, the results were the sa.
From this, it was clear that Jack had already decided that they were from an advertisent company or sothing. But, he was not going to give up on the matter right now.
So, he turned his attention to Samantha and asked, "Why don't you allow to et up with him personally? Currently, I was not given a chance of explaining to him everything considering how sensitive the matter that we have to discuss is. And, for that reason, he doesn't pick up my calls anymore."
"I already told you that this is not a decision that I can make. Additionally, he has already said that he doesn't want to be disturbed. I am just a subordinate, so, how is it possible that I'm going to go against the wishes of my employer?" Samantha responded helplessly.
But still, she was having a difficult ti holding back the laughter. After all, she knew Jack as a serious person, not going around joking with just anybody. But still, his reaction to the call was definitely a marvel. As for whether he knew who it was that was calling or not, that was sothing that only Jack knew.
But still, his response was sothing that even she herself was not expecting. After all, she believed that Jack possessed a lot of information about the stronghold domain.
It might be true that he was asking for information from her, but, that was basically the information about stronghold number 17, and the surrounding areas.
The stage 2 superhuman also realized that from the expression that Samantha was having on her face, it was clear that she wanted to laugh. He was imdiately pissed off. After all, with his level, it was clear that he was supposed to be holding a superior position within this stronghold.
It might not be true that he did not hold a high position back in the Force stronghold, but, that was a big stronghold. So, when he ca to this small stronghold where just as stage one superhuman was considered as a superpower, he was supposed to receive the most respect, even from the leaders of the several organizations within the stronghold.
He was just about to say sothing when the stage 3 superhuman spoke. "If that is the case, then you can just leave. It is not like we can force anything on this matter."
Samantha was a little surprised when she was allowed to leave. But still, she imdiately thought of sothing. It seems that this group of people wanted to tail her, in order to be able to know where Jack was.
She was no idiot. So, after realizing that they were serious about what the man had said, she pulled Ivy out of the building, before getting into the car. After that, the two of them left.
Inside the car, Ivy could not stop herself from laughing. She was practically crying. After all, her impression of Jack was that he was a serious person, who didn't know how to joke. But, whatever he had said, she heard it clearly. So, she was amused by the expression that was on the stage 2 superhuman.
"Okay. Enough laughter. You know, if that guy knows that you are laughing at him, you are definitely going to be killed. And, trust , you are not going to know how you died." Samantha said as she shook her head. But still, she was smiling, just thinking of the Incident.
Ivy continued laughing for a few more seconds, before she finally stopped. Then, she looked at Samantha curiously and asked, "Is that guy really strong?"
"Of course. Let tell you, inside this stronghold, there are power levels. Currently, you and I are currently in the lowest category of power ranking. We are just considered as ordinary humans. But, that guy is actually at the superhuman level, a level that is above the ordinary human level." Samantha responded.
She then went ahead and explained the structure of the power levels within the stronghold domain. Of course, she only explained sothing that she knew about, or heard rumors about.
Ivy was imdiately amazed after hearing everything that Samantha had said. She thought that she had beco stronger, but it turned out that the level that she was in was so low.
She might actually be very strong back in the normal world, but still, even in the normal world, if she was attacked using guns, then, she would definitely suffer. In fact, it was not an impossibility for her to be killed.
"At what level is Jack?" Ivy asked. That was sothing that she was curious about. Although she did not know much about how strong a superhuman was, but, she just wanted to know the current level that Jack was in.
"Him? I guess that he is currently in the second stage of the superhuman level. But, that is not it. According to Celine, Jack had encountered a stage 3 superhuman, but, that stage 3 superhuman had no choice but to back away from a fight against him." Samantha explained nonchalantly.
Ivy's eyes widened in disbelief. She had not expected sothing like this. Jack was actually a superhuman? And, he was at the second stage of the superhuman level? it was no wonder he did not care about a serum that was able to change her life entirely.
Additionally, she also finally understood the reason why Samantha stated that it would have been better if she had taken a single item in the store later on.
After all, with Jack being a superhuman, although they had just arrived, it was definitely not going to be taking a very long ti for him to be able to get a good footing.
She could not help but feel a little regretful. But anyway, she had already taken the serum, and it had boosted her strength. She was just about to say sothing when she suddenly realized sothing else.
"Why are we not arriving at the store? This ti, we have actually been on the way for about 10 minutes longer than the first trip." Ivy stated as she looked at the unfamiliar streets.
She could rember so parts of the road that they had used during the ti that they were going for the testing. But, she could not rember any of the landmarks and other things that she was seeing on the way.
So, although there was no impossibility that they were using another route, but still, she felt that it was strange considering that it was taking them a very long ti to be back to the store.
"Yeah. We are not going to the store right now. I'm guessing that today is soone that is keeping an eye on us, waiting for us to reveal the location that Jack is in." Samantha responded as she continued driving.
"Huh? They are going to co after us? But I thought that they said that we should go." Ivy could not help but ask. Currently, she was a little confused, making her not process the information that well.
"Of course, they have let us go, but, did they say anything about following us? No. So, they are just trying to use us in order to be able to get to Jack." Samantha responded.
She had just finished saying whatever was on her mind, when suddenly, a vehicle charged towards them. This car was like a truck, it was just that, it was way more advanced.
The mont that Samantha realized that there was a truck that was heading their way, she imdiately took a turn, joining another road. She had imdiately realized that there was sobody that was coming after them, and so openly at that.
