"I don't think that is a good idea. John died despite the fact that the group went there with the mirage crystal. If the mirage crystal was used, I am sure that they should have gotten out of there safely." Patricia said worriedly.
Anthony remained silent for a while. He knew that what Patricia was saying was true. But, there was no way that he was going to trust this mission to be handled by others.
He had already trusted others three tis, but all of them had failed. So, this ti, he had decided that he had to take action by himself. Otherwise, he didn't believe that there was a way that the mission was going to be completed.
"I don't have any other solution to this problem. I cannot send you out. You are important to the organization, not just to my faction. So, you going out is a no. As for , although I might be important to the organization, but, for now, I am not that much required." Anthony stated.
After that, without giving Patricia a chance of saying anything, he turned around and left.
Patricia on the other hand could only watch him as he left. Even though it was true that she wanted to go in his stead, she knew that since Anthony had already decided, there was no way that she was going to change his mind.
Additionally, just like Anthony had said, she was important to the organization considering that she was the one that was monitoring the vitality of everyone, other than the supre leader in the organization.
Although she felt glad that Anthony was not willing to sacrifice her for his own purposes, but, she was sad that there was nothing that she could do for him. Perhaps if she could find a solution to this, then she might be capable of making him see her as a woman, not just as a lady who was his friend.
Releasing a sigh, she decided to go back to her duties. But she had just taken a few steps when she suddenly realized that Anthony was coming back.
She raised her brows as she wondered why he was back. Could it be that he had changed his mind? Patricia began speculating the reason why Anthony was back.
But before she could ask him anything, she was surprised that Anthony was followed by another young man. Despite the fact that the person that was behind Anthony was just a young man, the arrogant expression on his face was enough to tell that he was soone who was used to looking down on others.
This was sothing that would never happen in front of Anthony. But, looking at the expression that was on Anthony's face, Patricia realized that this matter was not simple.
Currently, there was so kind of distress on Anthony's face. At the sa ti, there was a hint of respect and so dissatisfaction on Anthony's face.
"Welco. We can talk here." Anthony stated as he welcod the young man towards a group of chairs that were around a table.
Since Anthony had already destroyed one of the chairs, he simply picked one of the remaining ones and placed it at the head of the table.
As for the young man, he did not respond to Anthony at all. In fact, he completely ignored his existence and focused his gaze on Patricia.
Of course Patricia was angry at the gaze that she was receiving. That gaze was one that was filled with lust. Ever since she had taken the position that she currently held, there was nobody in the entire organization that had dared to look at her so openly like that.
The young man was not even trying to hide his intentions. Instead, he had a shallow smirk on his face as he looked at her. Patricia felt so goosebumps on her skin under the scrutinizing gaze of the young man.
Although she wanted to lash out, she restrained herself. Considering the way that Anthony was behaving, it implied that this young man held great authority. Otherwise, there was no way that Anthony, a vice supre leader of the entire Panthers organization, was going to behave in such a way in front of a youngster.
After scrutinizing her body thoroughly, he lost his interest and went and sat on the chair that had been prepared for him by Anthony.
"Okay. Can you start explaining to why your organization has been breaking the rules? You know all too well that you are not supposed to leave your stronghold for your own activities simply because you want to. You might be needed at any ti if a battle breaks out. If that happens and you are not here, then, who is going to be fighting?" The young man asked in an indifferent voice.
Anthony felt cold sweat accumulating on his back. Although he had been expecting that the people from the other bigger strongholds could actually co over, but, he had never expected that they were going to pay much attention to them.
At the end of the day, the people from the small organizations in the small strongholds were nothing other than cannon fodder in a battlefield.
All these years, as long as they did not do sothing that was overboard, then, the people from the big strongholds would not care about what they were doing. But now, this young man had actually appeared here, with a reason that they had sent others outside the stronghold.
It was always good if the people from the big strongholds did not pay attention to them. But, it was completely different if they did so. Moreover, looking at the expression of the young man, he did not seem like a person that was here to look for a reason.
Instead, he looked like a person that had co over to pass ti. And, this was not the first ti that sothing like this had happened. It was just that, it was not this young man that had co over last ti several years ago.
Anyway, Anthony knew that the punishnt that he was going to be given for the mistake that they had made depended on the mood of the young man.
"Actually, there was nothing much that we were trying to do. We were trying to look for traces of an organization that had been running rampant outside. We have received so reports from the rcenaries that have gathered outside the stronghold that, there is another force that is out there." Anthony replied.
This was a reason that he had just thought of at this mont. Anthony was not just a muscle brain. At the end of the day, he was selected as the vice supre leader of the entire organization. So, that implied that, he must have so brains to make so decisions.
Currently, he was not sure what the people that he had sent out were facing. So, he had decided that this might be actually a good reason. After all, it seed that they were not the only ones that had gone outside the stronghold.
He might perhaps manipulate this young man to target the other force and forgive his organization.
Although it was true that the young man in front of him was quite young, it was not just the background that Anthony feared the most.
Instead, Anthony was awed by the current power level of the young man in front of him. Although the young man had not reached the superhuman level, he was actually at the 10th star, just like himself.
For him to be able to reach the current level that he was in, he had to train for several years. But for the young man in front of him, it seed that he was a person with great potential to be able to reach that level at such a young age.
"Are you trying to lie to ? I already know that you are looking for sothing. Anyway, it is not like whatever a small organization like yours is looking for can Interest . But, I wonder what kind of punishnt I am supposed to give you." The young man said with a disinterested voice.
Anthony felt his lips twitching. It seed that this young man in front of him was not as naïve as he had thought. Anyway, it was good that this young man was not trying to know what they had been looking for.
But, Anthony hoped that the punishnt that this young man was going to declare was not going to be sothing big. He hoped that it was not going to be sothing that was going to affect the entire organization.
The young man thought for a mont. Then, he looked at Patricia with another scrutinizing gaze. Of course, his gaze could not escape Anthony. It was just that, although he felt uncomfortable, he did not dare to say anything.
"Alright. I have already decided on the punishnt that I'm going to give you. I do believe that this lady in front of is important to your organization. Since she is not that bad, I'm going to take her with so that I can play with her." The young man stated.
Patricia suddenly felt anger raging inside her heart. She had never expected that the young man in front of her was going to act so blatantly. He was claiming that he wanted to play with her? Did he think that she was a toy?
Additionally, she was way older than him by perhaps 10 years. How was she going to agree to play with such a young man? Moreover, she had feelings for Anthony. So, there was no way that she was going to agree to be with another man other than him.
It was just that, she knew that she was not supposed to talk in this situation. So, she shifted her gaze towards Anthony, waiting for his response.
