"Trust this ti. Why don't you tell what happened? No matter what the situation is, you don't have to worry. I do promise you that, there is nothing that is going to happen." Jack said in a low voice.
I raised my head and looked into his eyes. The confidence within them was just as it had ever been. I have never seen him doubt himself before, and this ti, it was the sa.
As long as I can rember, every ti that he said that he was capable of doing sothing, then, that sothing had to be completed by him sooner or later. He had never claid that he was capable of doing sothing that he wasn't.
Although I really want to trust him, but, it is completely different now. It is not a matter of just finishing a certain task or going out and eting soone. Now, we are dealing with a person that is capable of controlling other people's minds.
During the past 2 weeks, I have been living with fear in my heart. I can rember all of it clearly. It just happened on a certain day. During that ti, I was out with Angy and Wendy. We were enjoying ourselves, after a whole week of work.
We had decided to go shopping, before going to other places within the city. Even though we were no longer going out for longer trips to the other provinces in the country, but still, it was enjoyable to stay in the company of my two sisters.
At that ti, I had gone to the washroom, when suddenly, I felt a headache. At the sa ti, I felt like, there was sothing strange inside my mind. And before long, my vision suddenly darkened, and at the sa ti, a voice echoed inside my mind.
And that was all. It was just a single sentence.
But, this single sentence was like a command to . No matter how I thought about it, no matter how much I tried, I could not resist. It was as if, if I resisted, then, I was going to blow up.
No matter how I thought that this was just an illusion, the sa voice kept echoing inside my mind. It was the very sa sentence that was being repeated over and over.
This was completely frustrating. At the sa ti, I was forced to believe that this was real. Even though I had never experienced sothing like this, at that ti, I thought that perhaps, there was a ghost that was haunting .
After we went out with Jack to the Majestic and Swift Horse Racing Tracks, and we t Luther, who invited us to the youth congregation, this voice inside my head also increased in intensity.
So, after realizing that the youth congregation was sothing that concerned youths of different countries, and at the sa ti, all of them being from the top echelons of the society, I convinced Jack.
It was only after I had told him, and he had agreed to go to the youth congregation, that the voice that had been irritating in my mind suddenly disappeared.
And of course, after I left, I went to see Denali. I had to do all the investigations, to ensure that, there was nothing that was going to go wrong at the youth congregation.
With Denali's skills, we were able to investigate about the venue of the youth congregation, which was previously arranged as the Glaze hotel. And, after looking through almost everything that we could look into, we didn't find anything suspicious.
It was only then that my heart finally cald down a little. But of course, there was no way that I was going to be okay completely. After all, I didn't even know the source of the voice. But, that voice belonged to a lady.
I was stressed up. I really wanted to tell Jack the real reason as to why I had convinced him to join the youth congregation, but in the end, I decided to do my investigation first. After I found out the source, or there was no any other choice, then, I would inform Jack about it.
Due to the stress, after I heard that Denali was going back to her hotown, I decided to tag along. This way, perhaps, I might be able to distress.
But, I never expected that during our return trip, we would be hunted. We were not even allowed to enter the airport, before a group of strong people began attacking us. And just like Samantha before, all of them wore armors, and possessed laser weapons.
After 2 days of hunting, they finally defeated Denali and Samantha, after they brought strong people with them. And with that, they finally took . They didn't say any reason, other than saying that, if Denali wanted to get back, then, she had to go back to their base.
I was knocked out. And after I woke up, I was locked inside a room. There, for 3 days, I was only given food, but I was never allowed out of that room. The room was self-contained, having a bathroom, and a washroom.
But nonetheless, what was the use of taking a shower, if you could not change your clothes? I really wanted to complain, but considering that I was not sowhere that I was familiar with, I decided against it. I hoped that, just like always, Jack would be my knight in a shining armor.
3 days later, Jack really ca for . As for the person that had locked up, Jack had made sure to give him a thorough beating. Additionally, Jack had also taken in the whole organization as his subordinate.
Even though it was true that they were only supposed to do the tasks that Jack asked them to do, and they did not have to risk their lives, what was the difference, considering that co they were going to do what Jack asked them to do as long as it did not concern their lives?
When we ca back, that voice ca once again. This ti, after realizing that we had missed the youth congregation, we ca to a realization that, rather than just a simple discussion, it had been changed into a big competition between the youths of a different countries.
And, this ti, I was instructed that, I had to ensure that Jack participated as a fighter. Moreover, if I did not do that, then, I had to be prepared to lose sothing important to . Of course, the voice ntioned my parents, and Jack.
Of course I was scared. Left with no choice, considering that, the other party was capable of instructing without seeing them, I knew that it was going to be difficult to deal with them. So, I did not inform Jack about the matter as well.
But, this had been going on, completely frustrating . After all, after Jack had finished this, I was asked once again to keep my distance from him. No matter how much I really wanted to resist, this command prevented from doing that.
And all this ti, I had been sobbing in front of my mother. She was the only person that I could seek for support from. As for Jack, I was worried that he would notice sothing. And if that happened, then, he might end up in trouble.
For a whole week, I had been making sure that, the two of us did not interact that much. As for chatting, I only made sure that, I responded to him with simple replies, that ensure that we did not have any long conversations.
Of course, all of this was happening due to the influence in my mind. But, I was able to resist the ti that I was told to secretly attack Jack. At that ti, no matter what, there was no way that I was going to do that. It was better that I died, rather than harming Jack.
It was also during this ti that I t the owner of the voice. She was a lady, a beautiful one at that. Just from looking at her, I could tell that she was a vicious person. For that reason, unless I had a solution to the matter, I did not dare to risk anything.
And today, just like every other day that I felt completely distressed, I had co over to my mother. But, I had never expected that Jack would co over. He had contacted , and I did not hide from him about my current location.
Moreover, during the ti that the two of us were communicating, I did not hear that voice again. It was as if it had just vanished. But still, this was not the first ti that it had vanished. It always ca back as long as I went against what it was saying.
And now, looking at Jack's eyes that were looking at , I suddenly felt relieved. After all, the voice was no longer there, but, there was still fear that the voice that had been tornting for a long ti, would co back.
More than that, I was even more afraid that, perhaps, the owner of the voice, would harm Jack. In the end, due to Jack's encouragent, I told him everything that I knew.
I didn't hide anything, and, the more that I talked to him, the more confident I beca. After all, as I was telling him everything, there was no change that happened. Nothing happened to Jack, and, the voice did not appear.
"You have been through a lot." Jack said to as he sighed. At the sa ti, he caressed my hair, as I laid in his embrace. At this ti, I really felt relieved considering that, I was able to tell Jack everything, and nothing happened.
"But, we will have to change that. We will have to make sure that, you will no longer be susceptible to mind control again. Even if it is going to take a lot of resources, I'm going to try and make sure that, you will be protected. This I promise." Jack said in a determined voice.
Looking into those blue eyes that were looking into mine, added to the confidence in his voice, I felt that my heart was lting. After all, every promise that Jack made to , he had always made sure to fulfill it.
But of course, the only one that he had yet to fulfill would be the one that he promised that he would marry . That was the promise that had been made several years ago, before we lost our mories of each other. And of course, another promise had been added, the one that he had just made.
"I trust you." I replied with a smile. After that, I took the initiative to seal his lips. At last, I can be together with the person that I love, without any other person's interference.
