After a while, finally, Celine got out of her mother's embrace and looked at her with determination in her tearstained eyes. Then, she said, "Mother, I have finally co to a decision…"
"What is it now? Celine, I really can't understand what is going on with you." Katelyn looked at Celine and said worriedly. She didn't know what decision Celine had co up to, and neither did she understand the reason as to why she had to think so hard, and why it was so difficult to make that decision.
"And I hope that even if you are making a decision right now, you better not be trying to do sothing silly. Otherwise, you might co to regret your decision right now in the future." Katelyn continued.
Celine looked at her mother for a while, and after a long ti, she released a sigh and said, "Mom, to say the truth, I don't really understand myself at all. I don't even know whether the decision that I'm making is right or wrong. I don't know if I should persist or I should give up on the way."
"I'm completely out of options right now, but still, I still want to hold on. Even though I do believe that I might not be the best, but still, I also believe that there are not many people that are way better than I am."
"But there is one problem, those few that are better than , will always be better than . I might be able to overtake them, but as of now, they are above , and I cannot refuse that."
"Even though I believe that I'm good, but still, I have already caused Jack a lot of problems. In case soone wants to deal with him, they would try all ans possible."
"For soone like Jack, not only does he have capabilities to fight in case soone attacks him physically, but even in business, his thods are always ruthless. But still, he always maintains his conscience."
"Since the enemies cannot beat him in either business nor can they deal with him physically, they can only use other thods. And currently, I am the best target."
"It is not like I'm complaining at the fact that they will target more, because this is the price that I will have to pay for being with an outstanding man."
"The only problem that I have right now is the fact that I don't have the ability to resist. All those that consider Jack as their opponent are always strong…" As she reached this point, Celine began thinking about all the tis that she had been kidnapped, or those business people that have been taken care of by Jack.
She knew that Samantha had already dealt with several people that had attempted to attack her. Even though she herself was currently powerful, she knew that there was no way that she was going to deal with those that were planning to attack her every now and again.
Previously, even though she didn't like it, she didn't have much choice. Additionally, Samantha said that that was her duty, and she was happy by the fact that she was protecting Celine. The two of them had already ford a bond, and were considered friends right now.
But, things were completely different this ti. What she was facing was on another level completely. That was sothing that could not be dealt with easily. And, that was sothing that was giving her stress and fear.
"Mom, let try holding on. I don't know if I can hold on for much longer, but I do feel guilty by continuing to stay by his side despite the fact that I'm causing him problems. I just hope that my luck will improve soon." Celine continued.
Katelyn did not know what to say about this. Since she could not understand what it was that was frightening Celine, and just from her words, she knew that Jack was not the source of all of the fright.
There had to be sothing else that was making Celine this stressed up. Additionally, even though it was related to Jack, it didn't seem like Celine wanted to talk to Jack about the matter.
"You know, love is not sothing that can be forced. The two of you have been growing up together ever since you were young, and now, the two of you are all grown up." Katelyn spoke.
"I don't know how the two of you fell in love, but from my observations all the ti, I have noticed that you are always happy when you are together with each other. During the ti that Jack was not there, you rarely spoke, you rarely smiled. But now, things are completely different."
"Even though I don't understand the reason as to why your mood had suddenly changed after Jack had left, but still, during the ti that he was here, you were genuinely happy."
"That is sothing that I want for you. You are my daughter, my only child. So, no matter what it is, I will always be there for you. Even if it is bad luck that is currently following you, then, I will help you get past it." Katelyn said solemnly.
Celine looked at her mother who was looking at her with love. After a mont, she smiled and fell into her mother's embrace once again.

After departing from Angel's Prominence, Jack did not settle down. Instead, he began focusing on looking for the cause of Celine's abnormality.
The two of them had always been together, and it had already been several years. Now, even though she was trying to hide it from him, Jack had already noticed that she was not in her right state of mind.
It was not just sadness that was in her eyes, but confusion, bitterness, determination, despair, and several other myriad complex emotions.
This was the first ti that he was seeing her in such a state. Even though she was acting normal in front of him, there was no way that she was going to be capable of hiding sothing like that from him.
He had already beco a superhuman by breaking the genetic lock, so, his senses had been enhanced.
Jack went ahead and contacted Denali and told her to investigate if there was anyone that had t up with Celine. After finding anyone strange that had t with Celine, she had to ensure that she investigated about them.
Jack didn't like hidden dangers. Currently, he was in the light, while the enemy was in the shadow. And with the fact that Celine was not currently capable of revealing who it was that was threatening her, then, Jack had to find this by himself.
Even though Celine was trying to tell him to do sothing that he didn't like, Jack knew that she would never force him to do sothing that was going to be harmful to either of them.
Clack! Clack!
Jack did not just stop at informing Denali to do the investigation in case she was free. But instead, he himself also imrsed himself in it.
Even though he could have also inford the virtual nightmare to help him in the investigation, he didn't want to involve soone else in his personal life. Even though he had asked Denali to help, that was simply because he trusted her. Additionally, her loyalty to him was completely assured by the system.
As a series of codes began appearing on the screen of his laptop, Jack began hacking into several CCTV footages. It didn't matter if it was from the malls, or public. In any case, he made sure to look for any of them.
He began investigating from the day that Celine had insisted that they had to participate in the youth congregation. From there backwards, Jack began following Celine's movents.
And of course, he was not focusing simply on Celine, but also on her surroundings.
That night, after chatting with Celine, Jack continued investigating. Since he had already broken the genetic lock, it was not a problem for him to stay up for 3 days without sleep.
Of course, Celine ca to the Villa from ti to ti, and the training also continued as usual. It was just that, every mont that Celine left, Jack would continue with his investigation.
But of course, he made sure that the investigation that he was making did not disrupt the ti that he was spending with Celine. Additionally, he made sure to avoid the topic concerning the matter about the changes that had occurred to Celine.
So, he simply connected the laptop, ensuring that even if the battery didn't have any power, it continued to charge as he used it.
As he continued investigating, he made sure to try and separate everything that felt suspicious. Not only from her movents, but the surroundings as well.
Thankfully, with the ability that he possessed currently, he was able to make conclusions easily. So, in no ti, he had already sorted out several clips that contained suspicious footages.
After he was done, he went to freshen up. After that, he ate the food that had been prepared for him by Celine before she left for work.
With his belly full, Jack finally ca back to the laptop. Thereafter, he began watching the clips again, one after the other. He had already edited them, making sure that only the suspicious parts would be seen.
And in no ti, Jack finally found the clues that he was looking for. And the mont that he saw them, his expression darkened all of a sudden. At the sa ti, anger began surging in his heart.
