Back at Celine's house, a group of people had co to visit. This ti, they had requested for Bruce and Katelyn to be present. This group was none other than the group that had been sent from the main Gravy family to co and pick Celine for marriage.
When they ca over, they had co with Eugene and his group. Eugene had a insisted that he wanted to see Celine.
Bruce's elder brother was Collins. The mont that they arrived, they were welcod as usual. But still, the air was not filled with harmony because the two sides were in disagreent.
"Brother, I thought that you gave 3 days? It has only been a day and yet you are already back." Bruce stated as he looked at Collins.
To say the truth, during the ti that the agreent for marriage had been made, he didn't care. But only after he got his daughter, that was the mont that he began getting worried about the agreent.
This was especially so during the ti that he ca to a realization that Celine had fallen in love with soone. And, the two of them had already gotten engaged.
He would have definitely prevented it if the two of them were not in love. But, the two of them reminded him of himself and Katelyn. Since he was given a chance, then why was he supposed to deny his daughter?
During the past day, he had always been trying to look for ans that he was going to utilize to convince his brother not to ruin his daughter's happiness. He was willing to do anything, but he had yet to co into a resolution.
"Humph! Do you take for a fool? I told you that the engagent between the two of them should be imdiately annulled. But what did you do? You didn't even tell her that she is supposed to marry soone else. And, you let the two of them continue strolling outside, showing everyone that the two of them were together." Collins scoffed as he said.
At this mont, he was completely angry. He had actually given Bruce 3 days because he cared about his younger brother. But, the appearance of Eugene had changed everything.
The Gravy family and the Smith family had an agreent several years ago. They were going to form a cooperation, and this cooperation was going to be brought together by marriage.
And for that reason, there was no way that they were going to agree to let Celine go. The Gravy family itself was eyeing sothing from the Smith family. And for that reason, the cooperation between the two families was a must do for them.
Bruce frowned. He had previously inford Celine about this, to tell her to keep it low. Since his brother was here, he didn't want the relationship between the two of them to be exposed that deeply.
Although the two of them had been engaged, he had to look for ways to deal with his brother first. After all, the Gravy family wasn't sothing that could be joked with.
Although it was true that he knew that Jack had so relationship with the Jesda family, would the Jesda family continue supporting him the mont that they realized that two families of the sa level as them were about to clash with them?
When Collins saw that his brother was not replying, he could imdiately guess what his brother was thinking. He simply snorted before asking, "Where is she?"
Bruce remained silent. He knew that Celine hadn't slept over yesterday. And since that was the case, it was obvious that she had stayed at Jack's villa.
But there was no way that he was going to tell his brother about that. Otherwise, wasn't that akin to telling him that he was supposed to make his moves this early?
When Collins saw this, he frowned again. At this mont, his dissatisfaction increased. Since he had been in the family for all this while, he knew about the situation that the family was facing. And for that reason, he knew how important the marriage between the two families was.
He was just about to tell one of his subordinates to go and look for her, when the door was opened. This attracted the attention of everyone present.
They looked over and saw that Celine had just co in. Just before Collins could begin scolding her, his eyes narrowed when he noticed that there was actually another person behind her.
The mont that Eugene saw him, the anger within his eyes blazed again. He was reminded of what happened the previous day. Not only did Jack take away the girl that he was supposed to marry, but he had also caused him to be beaten up by his own bodyguard.
Although he was completely angry at this mont, he still managed to restrain himself. After all, he didn't want to deal with this situation himself. He was going to let her family deal with it.
"Who are you?" Collins got to his feet as he approached the door. Then, he asked as he looked at Jack.I think you should take a look at
"Who are you?" Jack questioned back. To him, it didn't matter about the identity of the person in front of him. But, he could of course guess about what was going on considering the number of people that was present here.
When Collins heard that question, he was infuriated. As the one that was supposed to take charge of the Gravy family in the future, he had never been talked to in such a way by a person of a younger generation.
"You…" He was so furious that he was about to begin lashing at Jack when suddenly, Bruce cut him in.
"Jack, what are you doing here?" Bruce asked worriedly. He had not expected that Jack was going to co over at such a mont.
"Oh, so you're Jack. Let give you an advice, you better turn around and leave this place right now, and forget about Celine." Collins finally got an understanding about who Jack was. So, he imdiately waved his hand, trying to chase Jack away.
Jack of course completely ignored him. Instead, he looked at Bruce and questioned with a smile, "Am I supposed not to co to my father's house?"
"Jack, forget about him. Co here and sit next to ." Katelyn didn't care about the Gravy family. Since this was sothing concerning her daughter, then she believed that she was the person to make the decisions.
They had been hustling by themselves all this while, trying to make sure that they reached the top. They had gotten a daughter, but suddenly out of nowhere, there was soone who was coming over to decide about her daughter's future. How was she going to agree to that?
Jack smiled as he pulled Celine into the living room, completely ignoring Collins that was already fuming as he looked at Katelyn.
"Bruce, what kind of wife and idiot did you select? Look, your wife is completely ignoring , while the idiot that you are trying to support to marry your daughter is actually this rude to his seniors." Collins stated as he looked at Bruce angrily.
Bruce on the other hand remained silent. At this mont, there was no way that he was going to be on his brother's side, concerning his daughter.
He knew his wife all too well. If she was angered, then she was not going to care whether Collins was his brother or not. She would simply go ahead and slap him, for trying to make decisions for her own daughter. Collins was already lucky that her temper had not flared up recently.
Additionally, he also knew that the relationship between Jack and Celine wasn't sothing that they were supposed to interfere with.
Although he was being called an idiot, Jack decided to remain silent. Although he was silent, that didn't an that he was going to forgive him for calling him an idiot. It was just that, this was not the right ti to deal with him.
After sitting next to Katelyn, he pulled Celine and she sat next to him. To prove that the two of them were not going to care about the opinions of others, he pulled Celine into his embrace.
Although Celine was startled, she still cooperated. She herself was already angered at the fact that there was actually soone going to decide about her future. And if there was a chance for her to get back at them, then she was going to use it.
And for that reason, she snuggled closer to Jack. Jack smiled in satisfaction as he brushed her hair.
When this happened, there was a pin drop silence in the room. Of course, this was just a calm before the storm.
"How dare you?! Get your filthy hands off of her!" Not able to hold back anymore, Eugene shouted.
He had already been holding back during this ti, but there was no way that he was going to sit back and watch the two of them continue displaying their public affection.
"Tell which family you belong to, and I am going to make sure that I deal with you and that family of yours. Otherwise, I'm going to make sure that you disappear." Collins stated as he looked at Jack with reddened eyes.
His heartbeat had already increased the mont that he saw what the two of them were doing. The future of his family was actually depending on the marriage between Celine and Eugene.
But now, in front of Eugene, she was actually in another man's arms. How was he supposed to explain the situation now? He didn't even know that they had already t previously.
