[Humans, we have received your request, and we will discuss it until the first battles are over. In the anti, we have an attached location that is showing signs of an imminent appearance by a Greater Energy Being. You have seven hours to get within range.]
Max stared at the ssage from the Arisen Army, and the coordinates that they had attached. The ssage made it obvious that their allies knew that the humans had made new weapons to deal with the Energy Beings, and that they needed so practical testing, but there was no ntion of anything coming to back them up should the tests fail.
With that in mind, he was going to need to organize so sort of backup plan that would have the firepower to take out the Energy Being no matter what.
The Android Fleet from the Anomaly Region would do the job, as they had already proven that they had the capability to freeze the Energy Being in place for a short ti while the heavy weapons dealt with the threat.
That might be their best bet, but only if they could get free of the engagent where they were currently occupied without leaving a planet to suffer.
The location that he had been given was in the Anomaly Region, and quite a distance from the main battle lines, so there weren't any other forces around to back them up in a fight, but that also ant that there weren't any populated planets around to suffer the brunt of a failure.
Just as they had done near the Alliance, it looked like they were planning to stage for a larger offensive, and didn't trust that they could safely exit the other layer in an ergency.
Or perhaps they were worried about the sort of weapons that Max had turned on them last ti, using Antimatter and nuclear explosions to destabilize the other layer and cause mass casualties far beyond what the sa weapons would cause in this layer of space.
Max didn't have any way to send a ssage back, as the Arisen had contacted him through one of the Android ships, so he started on the plans to intercept the incoming Greater Energy Being.
He couldn't scoop up the Destroyers here, as they were already earmarked for custors who were expecting them by the end of the day, so he would make plans to put the Android Fleet on standby to cover for him if they weren't finished fighting by the ti that the portal opened.
"Hey Nico, are you ready to go on an adventure?" He asked, unsure if she had read the ssage yet.
"Am I ever not ready for an adventure? I've got the Cutter making so extra cha for our offensive mission. They're not as fancy as the ones that Uncle Lu made for us, but They've got upgraded armour plates and a new setting on the Disruptors to match our attacks."
Max patted her on the shoulder and turned to the room full of Envoys. "We have been requested to deal with a Greater Energy Being in the Anomaly Region. It hopefully won't take too long, and we will be going with one Cutter, but reinforced by the armies that we have already in the area."
The Envoys sighed, and looked at the huge stack of paperwork sitting in front of them.
"I guess we can pass this on to the Board of Directors then. It's all just formalities at this point anyhow, and the Directors can do the transfer ceremonies. The custors will understand if the Commanders aren't there to et them, nobody expects the CEO of a Corporation to be there for their purchase delivery, even if they are a major custor.
That's not their job, and they've got too many other duties." The Valkia agreed.
"Thank you for your understanding. Now, let's get to the ship and be on our way. It will be a real pain if they have ti to get the portal open and get set up for our arrival."
The Arisen might have said that they had seven hours, but Max wasn't going to take any chances on cutting it too close, and there was no telling what sort of interference they might run into along the way.
There were battles everywhere on the other side of the Anomaly, and the location that the Greater Energy Being was slated to arrive at was still within the region where no portals could be safely opened.
That might be the only reason that they got so much warning, but it would also make it much more difficult to get their troops in position. The restriction was a double-edged blade. Both sides had more ti to prepare, but that only made the battles larger, and the conflicts more intense, as both sides knew that they had a set amount of ti before more forces could arrive to sway the tides of the battle.
Max made his way to the Cutter, where the research team was unloading the previous team of cha and preparing to move the new ones into position. The ship wasn't large enough to take an entire team of Super Heavy cha, or at least not one as large as Max would have wanted. But with twenty of them, plus the two Titan Class custom units, and three hundred Corvette Class units packed into racks along the walls, there was no space wasted, and they had as much firepower as humanly possible along for the ride with them.
The Androids were already in their cha, ready to be deployed at a mont's notice, and the racks full of Corvette Class Units could be ejected while loaded, to allow for faster deploynt.
Hopefully, that would be enough, but with the enemy still in another layer that they couldn't easily access, they wouldn't be able to tell until the fight actually started.
In only ten minutes, they had the units swapped out, and the sa team of Androids back on the ship, taking advantage of their existing combat experience. All that was left was the ga of rock paper scissors to determine how many of the researchers got to go on the mission with them.
