The so-called energy cannon, of course, does not use gunpowder as its propellant.
In Tom’s weapon system, the energy cannon corresponds to the energy gun.
The energy gun fires small-mass projectiles that have no propulsion; once fired, their trajectory is fixed.
The energy cannon, however, fires shells that possess self-locking capability and propulsion, allowing them to track targets in space. Because of its similarity to the artillery of Earth’s past, Tom adopted the na ’cannon’.
Its initial launch propulsion is still electromagnetic force, relying on the sa chanism as energy gun projectiles to gain initial velocity under electromagnetic force and exit the barrel rapidly.
As for explosives, during the Electroweak Civilization stage, Tom used high-explosive chemical explosives. But now, at the Strong Nuclear Civilization stage, with a deeper understanding and utilization of the Strong Nuclear Force, his explosives have been updated, becoming a substance similar to electromagnetic cannon projectiles, in a strong nuclear excited state.
Such a shell, with a total mass of 50KG, is equipped with a 10KG shell in its warhead, which is in a strong nuclear excited state.
Once struck, or self-detonated, it, originally in a stable strong nuclear excited state, can imdiately release its internal Strong Nuclear Force.
Although its mass-energy conversion efficiency is not comparable to a true nuclear bomb, nor to an energy gun projectile, it can only reach about 0.002\%.
But even so, this ans that once detonated, about 0.2 grams of mass from the 10KG shell will be converted into energy, and this can release energy equivalent to the explosion of 4,000 tons of TNT explosives
Compared to true nuclear bombs, which have yields of hundreds of thousands, millions, or even tens of millions of tons, this power is extrely small.

On the first day Tom decided on mass production, a full 1 million shells were produced.

Every day, the output of this improved shell model would increase by at least 50% or more. Up until now, the daily output of this shell has reached over 10 million.
Endless shells poured into space, entering space turrets, automatic launch systems, unmanned warships, and most importantly, manned warships.

In this vast space, Tom was unbridled and thoroughly enjoying the slaughter.
In just one month, the number of these unknown objects Tom had counted plumted from a peak of over 9 million to less than 1 million at this mont.
It was estimated that it would only take another month for Tom to completely clear out all these unknown objects.
But at this mont, sothing unexpected happened again.
Tom saw that the remaining less than 1 million unknown objects were no longer entangled with Tom, but instead, all of them rushed at their fastest speed towards the core of the entire solar system, that star.
