Under the surging power supply from over a dozen dedicated nuclear fusion power plants, these energies were injected into two proton beams through electromagnetic accelerating coils.

How imnse is the total electricity consumption of an entire tropolitan area in the Earth era? And how minuscule is the mass of a re particle beam?

This extre contrast, one large and one small, led to a very obvious result.

The speed of these proton beams was accelerated to a speed extrely, extrely close to the speed of light.

Of course, superluminal speed was still impossible. According to Tom’s current theory, any matter with mass, even neutrinos, once its speed reaches the speed of light, its mass and energy would tend towards infinity, even surpassing the combined mass of the entire universe.

Although the speed of these proton beams had not yet reached the speed of light, and was only approaching it, they still possessed unprecedented imnse energy.

Thus, in just a few dozen microseconds, the two particle beams collided with a roar within the massive accelerator reaction chamber.

At this instant, their energy level even far exceeded the core of a hydrogen bomb explosion, and also exceeded the core of stellar fusion, and even exceeded the core of a neutron star!

Under such imnse energy, a series of extrely peculiar phenona, which Tom had never seen before, occurred one after another.

Tom observed two extrely strange particles.

Both of these particles were extrely heavy, far exceeding protons, and possessed charges of 4/3e and 1/3e respectively.

They only existed for an instant before decaying in the next mont.

But in that fleeting mont of their existence, they were captured by the detection devices set up by Tom.

After precisely asuring their various properties, Tom’s heart suddenly surged with excitent.

Their various properties were exactly the sa as the X and Y bosons predicted within his theoretical frawork!

From this, Tom could confirm that they were indeed X and Y bosons!

The transmission of fundantal forces relies on particles.

For example, the electromagnetic force transmits force through photons, the weak nuclear force through W and Z bosons, and the Strong Nuclear Force through gluons.

So, if these three fundantal forces could be unified into a single unified force, what particle would the unified force rely on to transmit force?

The answer is X and Y bosons!

Thus, it beca very clear: detecting X and Y bosons directly proved that in the previous collision, the electromagnetic force, the weak nuclear force, and the Strong Nuclear Force had already unified into a single unified force!

Tom was still analyzing all the data generated by this collision with full effort.

He then saw that after existing for an extrely short period, these X and Y bosons spontaneously decayed.

At this instant, the accompanying magnetic monopole detector detected a large number of magnetic field fluctuations. Another detector, anwhile, detected a large number of proton "disappearance" events.

Why did protons disappear? Evidently, they decayed and escaped the reaction area as "Light Neutrinos".

However, the probability of proton decay is extrely low; even with such a massive proton decay detector, it would take an average of several days to observe a single proton decay event.

Why, at this instant, were there so many proton decays simultaneously in the particle collider?

Evidently, it was also due to the unified energy scale and the existence of X and Y bosons.

This also largely conford to Tom’s theoretical frawork!

Furthermore, Tom even detected the presence of extra photons within the particle collider.

This ant that in the unprecedented ultra-high energy collision before, due to the extrely high energy, even miniature black holes were generated inside the particle collider!

A black hole is an even more extre dense celestial body than a neutron star. Its surface escape velocity even exceeds the speed of light, and the speed of light is the fastest speed allowed by the universe’s natural laws.

This ans that once any matter enters a black hole, it can no longer escape.

Black holes are the most extre and mysterious celestial bodies in the universe.

And now, Tom, relying on his own technological ans, had genuinely created black holes!

Of course, they were only miniature black holes, their total mass possibly only on the order of a few protons.

And according to the principle of black hole thermodynamics, the lifespan of a black hole is directly proportional to its mass.

Although their escape velocity exceeds the speed of light, making it seem impossible for any mass to escape from them, based on the Hawking radiation chanism, black holes can still lose mass.

The larger the mass of a black hole, the longer its lifespan. The smaller the mass, the shorter its lifespan.

The lifespan of these black holes, with a mass of only a few protons, was so short that it was only an instant; in an instant, they would lose all their mass in the form of Hawking radiation, transforming into photons and radiating out.

Thus, Tom observed the extra photons.

In addition to X and Y bosons, W and Z bosons, proton decay, magnetic monopoles, and miniature black holes, Tom also observed many other types of particles and physical processes.

This series of changes was too nurous and too complex; even with Tom having improved detection accuracy as much as possible, it was impossible to analyze all its mysteries through this single collision.

However, it didn’t matter; there was still ti. Tom could completely study each step of these changes little by little through repeated collisions.

For the next period, Tom devoted all his available ntal energy to the work of analyzing and interpreting the particle collider data.

To even increase the speed of data output, Tom also spent enormous resources to construct several more particle colliders.

Through these repeated collisions, and the process of thinking, analyzing, inferring, and calculating little by little, more new laws of physics were discovered by Tom and unified and supplented into the existing theoretical frawork.

Ti quietly passed. On this day, after writing another formula with nurous complex symbols and operators, the clone where Tom’s consciousness resided let out a soft breath.

This was a formula within the Grand Unified Theory frawork, describing how "Light Neutrinos" gain kinetic energy during proton decay.

Within the entire theoretical frawork, this formula was rely a side note and not particularly important.

But at this mont, the addition of this formula was like the last building block; by placing it, the castle nad "Grand Unified Theory" had its last missing piece filled in.

That’s right, after hundreds of years of exhaustive and dedicated research, at this very mont, Tom had finally completely and thoroughly unified the Strong Nuclear Force and mastered the Grand Unified Theory!

Although this set of theories has not yet brought any combat power enhancent or application-level improvents to Tom, Tom knows that he has now truly surpassed the electroweak stage and truly beco a Strong Nuclear Civilization!
