Aunt Zhang nodded at Wen Nan, thanked Mr. Ye for his concern, then stood up to pull out the chair next to her, "Mr. Ye, please have a seat."
Wen Nan stepped forward and proactively pulled the chair out from the table, "I’ll do it myself."
Aunt Zhang agreed, then went to grab the teapot on the table to pour so water for Wen Nan, but realized it was empty, feeling a bit awkward.
"It’s fine, I don’t need water, Aunt Zhang, you sit down," Wen Nan imdiately said.
At this mont, ii stepped forward, taking the kettle from Aunt Zhang’s hand, "I’ll go get so water from the kitchen, Aunt Zhang."
Aunt Zhang let go, watching as ii left the room.
In the small maid’s room, only Wen Nan and Aunt Zhang were left for the mont. Aunt Zhang looked a bit uneasy, lowered her head, and pointed to the chair beside, "Young Master Ye, you sit. This place is small and not very nice, please make do."
Wen Nan knew that if he didn’t sit down, the other person wouldn’t sit either, so he didn’t stand on ceremony and sat down first, asking, "Aunt Zhang, why did Uncle Wang suddenly co here to trouble you just now?"
Aunt Zhang sighed and shook her head, "How would I know? I don’t have much of a relationship with him usually. God knows why he suddenly ca over here going crazy, even falsely accusing , saying that Zhao Gang’s death was my doing. It’s simply baffling."
"Let’s not talk about him," Aunt Zhang waved her hand and turned around to rummage through a cabinet, "By the way, I have so hotown specialties here, would Mr. Ye like to try so if you’re not averse?"
"Hotown specialties?" Wen Nan asked, while internally activating the system.

Aunt Zhang took out a tin candy box from the cabinet, walked over to Wen Nan, squatted by his feet, and handed the tin box to him with a smile:
"Mr. Ye, I specially saved this for you, would you like to try it?"
At the sa ti, a young female’s voice sounded in his mind—
’Ye Jiu, this is a special gift I prepared for you, you must try it.’
At the door, ii entered holding a kettle, saw what was happening, opened her mouth as if wanting to say sothing.
At the sa mont, at the window, Yu Shujun rushed back at full speed, kneeled on one knee on the windowsill with a gloomy face, gripping a piece of leopard print fabric in one hand, the Root Breaking Slash sword blade horizontally in the other, instantly sending out a slash of sword light.
In a flash, Aunt Zhang opened the lid of the tin candy box.
The entire room was suddenly engulfed by light that mixed purple with gold, forcing Wen Nan to close his eyes, as a sharp ringing assaulted his ears.
Wen Nan raised his hand to cover his ears, waiting for the ringing and dizziness to subside, and then reopened his eyes...
He was still sitting in that cramped maid’s room, everything around him exactly the sa as before, except—
The woman in front of him, had completely changed in appearance.
She was still wearing that sowhat rustic loose-fitting long-sleeve shirt and pants, but the wrinkles on her face had disappeared, and her originally dark skin was now delicate, smooth, fair, and radiant.
She almost looked like Cinderella wearing crystal shoes, turning into a stunning young girl in the blink of an eye.
The young girl version of Aunt Zhang was staring blankly at Wen Nan, blinking.
Wen Nan’s gaze moved from her face to the tin box in her hand and found that it was empty, with nothing inside.
Looking up, Wen Nan instinctively glanced towards the window and found Yu Shujun was also staring blankly at the scene in the room, his brows slightly furrowed, as if trying to determine what this woman, who had suddenly revealed her true appearance, intended to do.
While standing at the door, ii, holding the kettle, was so shocked her eyes widened, and she quickly walked in after a mont, "Aunt Zhang! You, you have... beco like this? Is this your true appearance? You look like you’re not much older than now! Was that makeup or disguise before?"
Aunt Zhang turned to look at ii, then turned back again, without speaking, not even a thought could be heard.
Wen Nan pointed to the empty box in Aunt Zhang’s hand, asking, "Is the specialty a box of hotown air?"
ii heard this and laughed softly, craning her neck to look into the box.
Aunt Zhang shyly lowered her head, "No, the specialty... is, is ."
Wen Nan paused, "You?"
Aunt Zhang nodded, "I want to give myself to you."
Wen Nan didn’t know how to respond for a mont.
He wasn’t sure if this counted as a native specialty, but the love talk was certainly rich, full of rustic flavor.
Wen Nan smiled, "Aunt Zhang, you’re joking."
"I’m not joking," Aunt Zhang said at this point, looking earnestly into Wen Nan’s eyes, "I’m serious."
At the sa ti, in Wen Nan’s mind, her inner voice sounded—
’I am here, though just a lowly maid, and you are Miss Zhuang’s new husband. I know this sounds really immoral...’
’But, I know, I know you and Miss Zhuang are just in a marriage of convenience, you two will separate after handling your respective parents, you have no feelings for each other, and have agreed not to interfere in each other’s private lives, right?’
’If that’s the case, you are free, aren’t you?’
’You ca to see specially in the middle of the night even when I was just a little frightened, you actually have so feelings for , right?’
’Or maybe, at least, am I a little special to you?’
’If that’s the case, now that I’m showing you my true self, will you... feel a little attracted to , Mr. Ye?’
