Eleven took a shower and changed into her pajamas, the kind that didn’t differ much from her usual T-shirts.
The good thing about a small home was that you don’t need to search for people. As soon as she walked out from her room, she saw Gu Liancheng’s figure in the open-plan kitchen. She walked over and asked, "What are you doing in the kitchen?"
"Making a late-night snack. Want some?"
"Eating a snack this late, are you trying to make me fat?" Though that’s what she said, she was secretly delighted.
Having someone make food for her late at night felt like a blissful event. Eleven, who never gained weight from eating, believed that nothing could make her happier than food.
He had cast off his coat on the couch. His shirt sleeves were already rolled up and he had a determined look as if he was about to get down to some serious work. From behind, Eleven found his appearance somewhat amusing.
Who could have imagined that the usually icy male god could actually become such a homely figure once he got back home? Rolling up his sleeves and bustling about in the kitchen, entirely a domestic man through and through

Eleven was so overjoyed that she grabbed her phone from the coffee table, stood behind the sofa, and quickly snapped several photos from different angles.
"Are you going to eat or not?" Gu Liancheng didn’t look back, so he didn’t know what she had been up to behind him.
After taking the photos, Eleven put her phone down, and walked cheerfully into the kitchen. She promptly hugged him from behind, resting her cheek against his back and smiling at him: "Yes, I want some!"
Gu Liancheng turned his head and gave her a kiss.
"Ok, don’t hang around in the kitchen, you’ll end up smelling of smoke."
"But you’ll also end up smelling of smoke."
"That’s different. You’ve already showered. Better get out."
Eleven did not expect that he would cook so late in the night. She had planned to watch some TV after her shower and then go to sleep.
"This smells great. What body wash did you use? I don’t recall."
"Just some cheap stuff. Without you I wouldn’t dare to buy luxury goods, you probably don’t remember."
Gu Liancheng laughed, "Now I’m back by your side, go ahead and buy whatever you want."
"Yes, sir!"
"Ok, now leave. I’ll be quick."
"No, let me hug you for a bit longer. I feel so happy, let me enjoy this moment a little longer." Eleven rested her chin on his back, tilting her head to look at him.
Gu Liancheng, helpless, spread his hands to show her, "If you keep hugging me like this, I can still chop the ingredients, but how am I going to cook? Be careful of the hot oil, it might burn your hand!"
"Then let me chop! Your hand’s in a bad state, isn’t it? Better not to get it wet. I’ll chop, I’ll chop. In the meantime, remember to take your medicine."
"You have to remind me to take my medicine? Do you think I’m like you?"
She’s always relying on him to take care of her every need. He’s so used to it that the days she’s not around feel empty, as if there’s always something undone.
"So obedient?" Eleven circled him fully, twisting his body around with force.
She embraced him face to face, looked up at him and smiled, "Want a reward?"
"Definitely."
Before she could act, he had already bent down for a deep, affectionate kiss.
She could even taste the lingering flavor of the medicine in his mouth. Although it was slightly bitter, the sweetness within her heart was simply indescribable.
