Chapter 716: 716 Is my Qianxun angry?_1

Glancing at the ti, it was nearing midnight already.

Aunt Fang was still watching over the ginseng soup in the pot. Leaving for a peek, the TV was still on.

"Miss Fang, it’s so late, and you’re still not sleeping? You need to go to work tomorrow. Go to sleep quickly. I’m afraid your husband won’t be back tonight."

"Oh, it’s fine..." In fact, Eleven’s eyes were already battling sleep, squinting now and then. Occasionally, her head would droop as if she were about to doze off, never staying still.

Aunt Fang added, "Your husband is probably busy with work. Miss Fang, there’s no need to keep waiting."

Busy...?

How could eating a al possibly take so long?

What were they even talking about?

Having spent long hours fishing on the sofa, Eleven was so exhausted that she could hardly hold it together any longer. She turned off the TV, stood up and said, "Auntie, I’m going to bed now."

"Go to sleep, go to sleep. If your husband does co back, I will definitely tell him that you’ve been waiting for him for quite a while."

"Don’t——" Eleven interrupted, "I’m not waiting for him, I was just watching TV."

"Yes, yes, yes," Aunt Fang said with a resigned smile, "You weren’t waiting, just watching TV."

The more she repeated it, the more it was apparent that Aunt Fang didn’t believe her.

As Eleven walked up to the second floor, Aunt Fang, as if suddenly rembering sothing, asked, "Miss Fang, what would you like for breakfast tomorrow? I can prepare it ahead of ti."

"No need. I’m not going to work tomorrow. I want to sleep in. If he cos back, tell him I’m tired and need to rest, and ask him to rember to take Second Treasure to kindergarten," Eleven instructed.

"Okay, understood!"

Aunt Fang thought, this matter doesn’t need her reminder, the husband will naturally keep it in his mind.

Shortly after Eleven returned to her room, Aunt Fang heard the sound of a car engine.

If a car stops in front of their house, it usually ans soone has returned ho.

As expected, not long after, the door from outside opened, and Gu Liancheng walked in.

As Aunt Fang ca out to greet him, he had just entered and took off his overcoat. "Master is back."

Gu Liancheng glanced around the living room and then at the closed doors on the second floor. "Is everyone asleep?" he asked.

Aunt Fang replied, "Young master and the little miss have been asleep for a while. Miss Fang has just gone upstairs not long ago."

"Just went upstairs?" He glanced at his wristwatch.

It was already so late.

"Miss Fang said that you must not know that she was waiting for you. She was just watching TV."

Before Gu Liancheng had a chance to smile, the bedroom door opened. Eleven, clad in her pajamas, stood in the hallway like a specter, ominously saying, "Auntie! I was just watching TV. Who’d have the ti to wait for her?"

"Alright, watching TV." Aunt Fang decided not to interfere with their affairs any further and returned to the kitchen.

Gu Liancheng looked up towards the second floor, his voice deep and low, "Still haven’t slept?"

"You both were talking so loudly, I was about to fall asleep but was jolted awake by the noise," Eleven complained.

"My bad."

Eleven turned around to leave. Gu Liancheng, shuffling his slippers, went upstairs and into the bedroom.

He briskly caught up to the leisurely pace of Eleven, embracing her from behind just as she was about to lay down on the bed. Leaning on her shoulder, he chuckled, "My Qianxun, are you mad?"

"Who has the ti to be mad at you? I’m dying of sleepiness."

Gu Liancheng glanced at the bed. It didn’t look like she had laid down and then got back up.

This suggested she didn’t go to sleep imdiately after she returned to her room.

She probably couldn’t rest easy until he returned, could she?

"Did you think I wouldn’t co back?"

Eleven muttered to herself, "If you dare not to co back, just deal with it yourself."
