In such an ambiguous atmosphere, their gazes t.
Eleven raised her hand, lightly hitting him, "In your dreams! It’s over, go to sleep."
Without caring about his thoughts, she stood up and walked to the bathroom to fetch so water.
Eleven purposefully lingered in the bathroom for a while. When she returned, Gu Liancheng had fallen asleep again.
After waiting for a bit to ensure he was sound asleep, she crouched down, turned on the flashlight application on her phone, and started searching for the lost photograph.
However, after groping around for a long ti and carefully observing, she still couldn’t find the picture underneath the bed.
She sat up straight, wondering if he might’ve seen it and put it back into the book?
With this thought in mind, she stood up to find the book. After flipping through it, she found no trace of the photo.
As she put the book back, she could only pray that he wouldn’t flip through it. If he found the photo missing, it would be her fault. After all, it was his mory, and losing it while it was in her possession would be very embarrassing.
She put her hands together and whispered an apology to the sleeping Gu Liancheng, "Sorry, I lost your photo..."
...
As soon as she woke up the next morning, Eleven felt Gu Liancheng’s forehead. His fever seed to have subsided and wasn’t as burning hot as the previous night.
Ai Lin ca over to check on him, with docunts in her hands. Apparently, she needed him to sign sothing.
"Let him sleep until he naturally wakes up. Don’t disturb him, he looks very tired."
"Understood, Miss Qianxun." Ai Lin responded with a smile.
"Good, then I’m leaving. Today is Children’s Day. There’s a performance at the kindergarten. Since he’s ill, he shouldn’t go. If he wakes up, tell him not to worry about the kindergarten matters. I’ll take care of the two kids."
"Alright Miss Qianxun, I’ll do as you said." Ai Lin answered gently.
The performance was also a parent-child event, where all parents had to attend.
The event began in the afternoon. Eleven led the two kids, and the butler drove them to the kindergarten.
The kindergarten was all decked out by the teachers. There were several balloon piles at the entrance, which the children rushed to play with. However, Fang Jiujiu and Gu ngng only glanced at them before losing interest.
ngng looked up and asked, "Eleven, is Mr. Gu really not coming?"
"Yes, he is still unwell and needs more rest. You both just stick with , alright? Don’t run off, okay?"
"Well, can’t be helped then..."
Clearly, ngng was sowhat disappointed that Gu Liancheng couldn’t co.
She wished he could be there too. Parents’ participation in these children’s activities is vital. The children’s growth process can’t lack the company of their parents.
The kindergarten also prepared a special welcoming ceremony, where the children and parents had to enter together.
Eleven noted that the so-called entrance ceremony was ticulously arranged.
Officially, Mayor Liang and his family were to be the first to enter, followed by the businessn. However, behind the scenes, Gu Liancheng was actually the first, with even Mayor Liang yielding to him slightly. This could be seen from the outco of the children’s squabble last ti.
The expected courtesies would still be given; thus, even if Gu Liancheng were present today, he would let Mayor Liang enter first. At least she felt that Gu Liancheng wouldn’t stoop down to contest for these so-called titles.
Unfortunately, Gu Liancheng was not present.
