Chapter 346: 346 I have seen every part of you (5)_1
Gu Liancheng crouched there and stared carefully for a mont before realizing that she was not awake. She was crying in her sleep.
What did she dream that made her cry so uncontrollably?
"Mom..."
He leaned in and listened for a while before he could make out that she was calling out to her mother.
His gaze softened considerably.
Isn’t her mother Madam Shang, Luo Qing?
She claid not to care, that it wouldn’t matter if she never went back to the Shang family, yet here she was, crying in her sleep.
Gu Liancheng’s movents beca gentler as he brushed her ssy hair away from her face.
He felt her shivering, tears welling up uncontrollably. His hand gently touched her cheek.
Upon his touch, Eleven clung onto him, her hands gripping his fiercely like a lifeline. "Mom..."
"..."
After she had called him ’Uncle’ and ’Dad’, this was another peculiar form of address. But this ti, he could not get angry. She was tangled up in her dreams, her eyes tightly shut, hardly aware of who he was.
But what on earth was going on?
What had she experienced to make her this frightened?
Suddenly, the Eleven in front of him opened her eyes as if awakened from a nightmare. She simply lay there, silently staring at Gu Liancheng crouched in front of her.
He thought his sudden presence startled her, and was about to explain why he was in her room, when out of the blue, a figure lunged at him.
Eleven suddenly threw herself around Liancheng’s neck, the entirety of her weight resting on him.
She continued to sob softly.
Her crying wasn’t loud, barely making a sound. She just shivered non-stop.
Gu Liancheng’s hands, unsure of where to rest, hung frozen mid-air for a while, before he slowly brought them down to rest on her back. He silently, gently patted her back, offering his embrace as a source of comfort and security.
This was a rare display of her vulnerability.
She was usually optimistic, only losing control when she was drunk. She never showed him this side of her before.
He began to realize that the Fang Eleven he knew wasn’t the real her. She had more facets, but they had simply not been revealed to him.
She was like a rough diamond, starting to shine through slowly.
The room was quiet. No other sounds were to be heard. The embrace of the two was everything.
Eleven held on to him and closed her eyes to calm herself. Liancheng could feel that her fear was gradually receding.
...
Eleven didn’t like it too bright but didn’t like darkness either, so she only turned on the night light.
Gu Liancheng sat on the sofa, with Eleven by his side, her bare feet on the sofa and her arms wrapped around her knees in a self-protective pose.
She was looking at the floor.
In a soft voice, she admitted, "Yes, I am Qianxun."
She finally admitted it before him.
The truth was already apparent; denial would lead to a DNA test. Eleven knew she couldn’t hide it from Liancheng any longer so she chose to tell him straightforwardly.
"So, you knew Shang Muxue from the very beginning," he said.
That day at the Nagoya Hotel, they had t unexpectedly.
Hadden’t Eleven recognized Shang Muxue back then? He believed that Muxue must have also recognized her.
So dialogue didn’t seem odd at the ti, but thinking back now, it felt off.
Eleven nodded.
Of course, she recognized Shang Muxue, just as she recognized her right away.
But she had denied it, and Shang Muxue hadn’t given her much thought either.
