Chapter 45: Chapter 45: Side Effect

There were so many secrets that Harry was still hiding that Claudia wanted to ask them all at once. Starting from the reason why Harry always donated his hunting results to the Only Hope Orphanage, then since he was little Harry visited the orphanage with his mother. Even more surprising, Harry actually likes animals. Can Harry answer all those questions at once?

Judging from Harry’s recent emotionally unstable condition, is it appropriate to ask all those questions? Claudia still doubted that Harry wanted to answer honestly, especially since it seed that Harry still had confidence in his ex-girlfriend because of last night’s situation.

"So what do you want to ask, Claudia?"

Claudia shook her head with a relaxed expression. "My question doesn’t matter."

"Okay, then, I want to rest first." Harry put the baby bird back into the birdcage.

When Harry wanted to climb the stairs, Claudia imdiately ran and hugged Harry tightly from behind.

Harry’s reaction was a surprise when suddenly he was hugged by his wife even though nothing bad had happened to them today. This affectionate hug made him even more comfortable. His right hand grabbed his wife’s hand to tighten the hug.

"Actually, I’m still not used to being hugged like this suddenly. I almost slamd your body because I was used to facing enemies who wanted to attack ."

"You’re not angry, are you?"

"I get angry when you startle . But, if you look closely, your attitude today is very strange. What actually happened?"

One thing on Claudia’s mind right now was confusion. The more Harry’s true nature is revealed, the more Claudia feels the dilemma of whether one day she will still kill Harry as revenge for killing Linnon in the real world? For now, all she can do is try to change Harry’s character into a good person.

"Thank you for saving the baby bird’s life."

"I just feel sorry for the baby bird who now has no one and is hurt. The only ones who can protect it are us."

"Why do you speak as if from personal experience?"

Harry locked his lips tightly. Slowly releasing his wife’s embrace as he climbed the stairs to his room.

Claudia is increasingly suspicious that Harry’s recent attitude is a reflection of his true attitude based on her personal experience.

A few days later...

Recently, Harry had been very diligent in taking care of the baby bird on a regular basis. Whenever he was busy working in the palace, he always gave the birds a larger portion of food and put it in a food container. Seeing Harry’s affection for animals, Claudia couldn’t help but imagine him while doing her work at her family’s hotel.

Even though Claudia was tired of dealing with the pile of work every day, her day was full of color because every morning Harry always showed her sweet treatnt of the baby birds and his wife.

"Claudia, I got the answer to your question a few days ago," said Sarah while helping organize the files scattered on her employer’s desk.

"So, what kind of at has my husband been donating to orphanages all this ti?"

"Actually, what Harry has been donating all this ti is at from Mr. Edward and Mr. Vincent’s hunts. "The two palace ministers always gave at to their pets, but Thomas always took the at to donate to the orphanage."

Listening to Sarah’s reports, which always never missed a single one, Claudia wondered what thod Sarah used to get all this important information. Because based on her knowledge, in the original novel’s storyline, Sarah rarely shows her prowess in terms of working as a spy. So far, Sarah’s job has only been to help with fairly easy hotel work and escort her master wherever she goes.

"By the way, you never found out about this, right? I an... I don’t want you to get hurt just because I always give you hard tasks."

"You forgot I’m good at things like this, right? No matter how hard it is, I can definitely do it."

"Even though you’ve been silent all this ti. You should use your skills to help

a lot." Claudia laughed awkwardly while signing a docunt. "It seems like I don’t need to teach you much. You seem smarter than ."

Sarah imdiately shook her head. "Not really. Instead, I learned all this secretly from Lady Claudia. Of course you’re still smarter than ."

Claudia nodded as she closed the leather folder. "Sarah, it’ll be lunch ti soon. I want to invite you to lunch together at a nice place."

Sarah’s eyes flashed nervously. Even though this wasn’t the first ti her master had openly invited her to have lunch together, for so reason he actually felt awkward. All this ti she kept a straight face as if she didn’t mind it. Even though she was always embarrassed because his master’s attitude had recently been too friendly.

"Where do you want to take

to eat?"

Arriving at a luxurious restaurant that was usually only enjoyed by noble families, Sarah entered the restaurant a little trembling. The decoration of this restaurant is filled with real diamonds, and all the restaurant visitors are dressed luxuriously. Luckily, she always wore the secretary uniform that her employer bought her, maybe she wouldn’t dare step foot in this restaurant because she felt like she couldn’t afford it.

When Claudia accidentally passed a neat-looking man, she suddenly felt short of breath. Her mory vaguely showed the man she had just t in her childhood.

In her mory, that man was an evil man who had ruined her childhood dreams. When she rembered that mont, Claudia shed tears until she almost fainted. Fortunately, Sarah imdiately caught her employer’s body which was almost falling, and then it was a coincidence that Harry also had lunch at this restaurant with Thomas.

Seeing that his wife’s ntal condition was unstable, Harry looked panicked as he hugged his wife tightly. "Claudia, calm down! I’m here."
