Chapter 236: Chapter 236: The Night Party
The royal hero’s coronation party continued until evening. The highlight of this event is the dance party. All the invited guests danced with their respective partners, including the main star couple who danced in the middle of the palace hall as if they thought the world belonged to just the two of them.
"You are getting more and more skilled at dancing as ti goes by," said Claudia while turning around.
"Because I learned to dance from you, Claudia. You taught
to be patient."
"Wasn’t it the real Claudia who taught you dancing in the first place? You should thank her."
"At first it was the real Claudia who taught
how to dance and I was already good at it in just a mont. But, because I haven’t danced for a long ti, I forgot what good dancing techniques are. Thanks to you teaching
how to dance before, I’m good at dancing again."
Claudia put her head on her husband’s chest. "I want to hang out with you on the balcony. It’s too noisy and crowded here. I can’t talk to you freely."
"You should rest too. I’m worried your feet will hurt again from wearing heels all day."
When the romantic music ended, Harry imdiately took his wife’s hand and walked out of the hall. Because no one was passing through the area outside the hall, Harry carried his wife up the stairs, surprising her.
"Why are you carrying
suddenly? Aren’t you embarrassed to be seen by so maids or bodyguards in secret?" Claudia scolded in a whisper.
"Later you will fall down the stairs again. Moreover, your dress is quite long."
When he reached the top of the stairs, Harry went back down to his wife then walked hand in hand towards the palace balcony. Arriving at the balcony, Harry closed the balcony door tightly then led Claudia to sit on a bench that could accommodate two people.
The balcony atmosphere was very calm, Claudia felt more comfortable spending ti with her husband in a quiet place rather than mingling with invited guests in the ballroom. Seeing the stars shining in the sky and the gentle air, she rembered the mont when her husband’s proposal made her heart bloom.
"Claudia, thank you for all the surprises you gave
today."
"Actually, not yet. I want to give you a final gift to conclude the series of hero coronation ceremonies."
Suddenly colorful fireworks decorated the night sky. Harry watched the fireworks display with shining eyes while looking at his smiling wife.
"It’s beautiful, Harry."
Harry wrapped his strong arms around his wife’s slender body. "Colorful fireworks in the sky, the stars are shining, your smile and dimples are so cute, everything looks beautiful."
"Why have you always liked my dimples so much?"
"Because besides your very special smile, your dimples are also special. That’s what makes you look beautiful."
"I really liked your eyes a long ti ago."
"Aren’t my eyes scary in everyone’s eyes?"
"No. In fact, your blue eyes that are like sea gemstones make you even more charming. Now I understand why Claudia always targets all the n who have blue eyes like you. But, it’s a sha that the real Claudia thinks Harris is the man with the beautiful blue eyes she was targeting at the dance party."
"Even though Harris’ eyes are also blue. Why do you still think I’m more handso than him?"
"Because as I said before, the color of your blue eyes is a combination of the sea, sea gems, and sky."
"This is the first ti I’ve heard soone ntion the aning of my eye color in such detail."
A pair of lips kiss each other in the middle of a fireworks event. There was no one to disturb them now, Claudia wanted the kiss they were sharing right now to be the last gift she gave her husband on this beautiful birthday.
The hero’s coronation party had ended successfully. Harry and Claudia re-entered the ballroom after spending ti together on the balcony until the fireworks ended. When they wanted to visit their friends, suddenly an elegant looking middle-aged woman approached them. The lady was Lady Laeticia, of the Pennsylvania kingdom.
"Thank you for inviting
to attend your coronation ceremony. It is truly an honor to receive this invitation," said Laeticia.
Claudia bowed respectfully. "Thank you for taking your ti too, Lady Laeticia."
"Actually, I didn’t co here alone. My friend has been wanting to et Duke Harry in person for years. There’s finally a chance to et you now."
Harry was increasingly curious about who Laeticia’s friend was who wanted to et him. He didn’t expect that people from other kingdoms would want to et him even though his existence had not been really highlighted so far.
Suddenly a middle-aged woman walked gracefully in a black dress. She showed a friendly smile as she extended her right hand to Harry.
"Duke Harry, I have wanted to see you for a long ti." The woman took out a business card from her sling bag. "My na is Theresia Lim, the painter who painted the painting mories In My Life."
Harry and Claudia’s reactions were shocked until their mouths dropped open. Harry’s right hand trembled as he received the business card from his idol painter. Harry imdiately bowed in respect to his idol.
"It is truly an honor to et you, Lady Theresia."
"Actually, I know your mother, Harry. She told
a lot about you when she visited . The "mories In My Life" painting that you have been eyeing all this ti is a painting of a story your late mother told when she was still alive."
"Then, for years you kept that painting just for ." Happy tears rolled down his cheeks.
"Yes. Actually, your mother asked
to keep it and give the painting to you when you grow up. Then, one day I t the owner of Fantasia Gallery. She wanted
to sell the painting for her because she was also looking for that painting to give to you."
"But, Vivian really didn’t plagiarize your painting?"
"No. The painting I gave her at that ti was the only painting in this world." Theresia smiled at Claudia. "You do look a lot like your mother, Duke Harry."
