Chapter 230: Chapter 230: Clarissa’s Little Problem
Claudia wondered what problem Clarissa was facing without her knowledge. Even though she had been helping prepare for the coronation ceremony for two weeks, Clarissa still acted like nothing had happened. Had Clarissa actually been hiding sothing from her all this ti?
When she returned to the palace, Claudia finally realized that sothing had happened to Clarissa, looking at her slightly sluggish face. Claudia felt guilty because she was too focused on preparing for the coronation ceremony, she forgot about her best friend.
"Clarissa, did sothing happen to you?" whispered Claudia while arranging a pile of docunts.
Finally, Clarissa showed her anxiety openly in front of her best friend. "I want to take you horse riding tomorrow, is that okay?"
"I knew sothing must have happened to you. You should have just told
straight away or you would have scolded
because I didn’t care about you."
"I just wanted to tell you because you are the only one who understands my feelings best. I don’t want Larissa to know about my personal problems."
Claudia patted her best friend’s shoulder. "Okay, tomorrow we’ll ride at the usual place. Besides tomorrow I won’t be too busy."
Actually, Claudia was still curious about what problems Clarissa was facing that made her want to go horse riding together on weekdays. She couldn’t sleep soundly thinking about Clarissa’s problems.
Due to his wife’s frequent tossing and turning, Harry also couldn’t sleep. What Harry was thinking right now was that he was worried that his wife was having problems while preparing for the coronation ceremony.
"Did sothing happen to you?" Harry asked, stroking his wife’s cheek worriedly.
"Not , but Clarissa. Actually, I feel guilty because since I prepared for the coronation ceremony, I rarely cared about my friends, including you."
"Maybe they can’t tell you directly because they’re confused about how to explain it. Apart from that, they have their own reasons for not being able to tell you directly. Just like when I hid my identity for six months when I was married to you."
Claudia pursed her lips as she pressed her ear to her husband’s chest. "Lately I also keep avoiding you whenever I’m busy working."
"I don’t mind that you are busy working because you consider the hero coronation ceremony to be a very important ceremony in your life. I won’t stop you."
"Tomorrow I want to go horse riding with Clarissa. Can I borrow Prince?"
Harry narrowed his eyes. "Aren’t you still afraid of riding a horse alone until now?"
"I’m starting to get better because you keep teaching
patiently." Actually, Claudia was a little nervous to say that because the last ti she wanted to ride a horse without Harry’s help, she almost got kicked by Prince.
"Don’t worry, I can ask Clarissa."
"You’re just going to bother her."
"Why don’t you just get straight to the point? You won’t let
ride the prince because you’re afraid I’ll be tortured by Prince."
"Prince is only acting ta towards . Even if you were my wife, he definitely wouldn’t understand."
"I will prove tomorrow that I succeeded in taming Prince."
The next day, as previously promised, Claudia went horse riding with Clarissa. Luckily this ti Prince was really ta towards Claudia. It felt like Claudia wanted to show off her talent to Harry because she managed to ta Prince even if only for today.
Clarissa invited Claudia to take a break and sit under a big tree. She gave strawberry milk to her best friend.
"Thank you, Clarissa."
Clarissa took a deep breath. "Actually I had a fight with Kyle."
Claudia was shocked to hear this and accidentally choked while drinking strawberry milk.
"Just slow down, Claudia!" Clarissa scolded.
"Sorry, I’m just surprised to hear this bad news from you. But, that doesn’t an you guys have broken up, right?"
"No. I just wanted to be alone. That’s why I warned Kyle not to et ."
"Actually, what made you two fight suddenly? Did your dad suddenly disapprove of your relationship?"
Clarissa shook her head. "In fact, my father still really supports my relationship with Kyle. However, Kyle’s extended family doesn’t really like . Actually, when I visited Taylor’s boutique a week ago, I heard Kyle’s cousins ????gossiping about . They said that Kyle wasn’t worthy of being my boyfriend because I was President Howard’s only daughter who couldn’t do anything."
"Those who still don’t know what talents you have so far." Claudia hugged Clarissa while patting her shoulder. "Don’t pay attention to what they all say, Clarissa. As long as Kyle still loves you, you should listen to Kyle’s true voice."
"But, does Kyle really like
for who I am?"
"If he doesn’t love you, why would he be willing to be your boyfriend for months? Every ti you want to hold an event with mbers of the Scarlet Community, Kyle always takes the ti to help you. Looks like you have to ask Kyle directly. I can only suggest that because actually I really support your very harmonious relationship."
Clarissa pursed her lips. "When should I et him?"
"Maybe when you get ho from work later. You can invite him to dinner together first."
Late in the afternoon, Claudia and Clarissa rode their horses back to the stables. On the way, they accidentally ran into Kyle who was riding a brown horse. Clarissa was surprised as she looked at her friend who looked normal. She already suspected that Kyle’s arrival must have been accompanied by her best friend too.
"Thanks for taking
riding, Claudia."
"Kyle, I’ll leave Clarissa here. It seems like she needs you more than . Only you two can solve your problems."
"Then, what about you, Claudia?" Clarissa asked, still looking away from her boyfriend.
Claudia smiled faintly while holding the rope. "I want to go back to the palace. Harry is waiting for ." For a mont she patted Clarissa’s shoulder. "Good luck, Clarissa."
Now there are only a couple left who still look awkward because they are still actually fighting. Kyle couldn’t bear to see his girlfriend continue to be gloomy, now he didn’t want to keep his mouth shut anymore.
"Clarissa, I want to talk to you."
