Chapter 189: Chapter 189: Main Reason Punish Innocent Person

Rembering Victor’s problems regarding false accusations and receiving quite severe punishnt from Harry, made Claudia annoyed again because her husband could not judge people well. For the first ti she was disappointed in Harry because he usually acted like a hero, now he acted like an enemy.

On the one hand, Claudia was very curious about Harry’s purpose in suddenly bringing Victor to Edenburgh. Moreover, it could be said that Victor’s case occurred a year ago.

"Why did you bring Victor suddenly to Edenburgh? Is it because I am friends with him?"

Harry smiled casually as he sat up straight. He let his wife bask in his warm embrace.

"Because I want to straighten out the punishnt I gave him at that ti. Actually, I know he’s not a criminal."

Claudia widened her eyes. "Then why are you still punishing him? Is it because you believe the evidence more than his words?"

"Did you forget that I’m not the type of person who easily trusts evidence? Evidence can be faked and even if you told

to fake evidence now, I could make it right this second."

"But, you really don’t feel sorry for him? For a year he lived in misery because you didn’t defend him. He asked everyone for help and persuaded his parents, but all his parents could do was pay a certain amount of money to free him."

"So, you’re disappointed that I can’t judge people well?"

"You are really cruel! Anyway, you have to apologize to Victor! Then, you have to return the penalty money his parents paid!"

Harry raised his right eyebrow. "Why are you talking as if you are defending him more than ?"

"Because in this case, you are the criminal!"

"Why didn’t you ask why I punished Victor even though I clearly knew he wasn’t a criminal?"

"Is it because you have a hidden grudge against his family?"

Seeing Harry’s increasingly gloomy expression, Claudia beca increasingly suspicious that sothing had happened to Harry while investigating Victor’s case. Did she really offend Harry?

"I was threatened," said Harry quietly.

"By who?"

"I was threatened by Harris."

For the first ti, Claudia heard that her husband’s position was lower than that of her ex-boyfriend, making her mouth open wide.

"Didn’t I hear wrong? Wasn’t Harris the one who always obeyed your orders all this ti?"

"No. There is one weakness that Harris knows about . He uses that weakness to threaten ."

"What is the weakness that makes Harris feel like he won?" Claudia just realized what Harry ant by ’weakness’, so her gaze imdiately glared. "Harris knows your identity?"

Harry nodded weakly. "He knew from the start. Because he already knew, that’s why he used that weakness to bring

down. He and I made an agreent. If he gets into big trouble because of , he won’t hesitate to reveal my identity to everyone in this world."

Claudia clenched both fists tightly. "He is really a bastard!"

"That’s the main reason why I was forced to punish Victor to cover up his case quickly. Harris was also jealous because Victor t the qualifications as a mber of the palace council. Even though in fact Victor was only his assistant while they were studying."

Harry tightened his embrace while kissing his wife’s right eye briefly. "Thank you for taking the initiative to cancel the marriage with him. If you really were his wife, I couldn’t bear to see you beco the wife of a criminal."

"But, what you did to Victor is actually unforgivable."

"Therefore, tomorrow I will et him. You just wait at ho, for your safety."

Claudia pursed her lips every ti she heard the suggestion that she should just keep quiet. "I know you an to protect . But, I also want to et Victor. I have to return the penalties."

Harry’s forehead furrowed. "Even though I punished him, why do you have to bear it?"

"Because I am your wife and I am his friend."

"But, your relationship is still just as friends. You’re interfering too much in his problems!"

"Why are you angry with

just because I defended Victor? Don’t you think I’m really dating Victor!"

"Actually, I asked Thomas to investigate your relationship with Victor. You were in the sa class and studying on the sa campus. Victor confessed his feelings to you but you imdiately rejected him."

Claudia folded her arms. "I didn’t expect you to be so jealous that you were secretly acting like a detective!"

"I’m not jealous, I just want to make sure what your relationship is like!"

"I think it ans the sa thing. The point is that you are jealous, Harry." Claudia lay down then turned around to avoid Harry’s gaze. "I’m tired. Can we continue our conversation tomorrow?"

"How about I don’t let you sleep now?"

"Are you afraid of

running away again?" Claudia turned around again to face her husband with sparkling eyes.

"Yes. I don’t want to lose you again. We don’t have a month left. I want to enjoy the monts with you as long as we are husband and wife."

"I love hearing your answers, Harry. Your words make

dream sweet dreams."

"You want to hear so more good news? Actually, I have already returned the penalties paid by Victor’s family."

"Really? But why doesn’t Victor know? You just returned it?"

"Actually, I returned it not long after his family paid the penalties. Then, I made a fake report regarding the inco from Victor’s family."

"But, why are you still keeping it a secret?"

"Because I’m worried that Victor will slip up every ti he ets Harris. I know that every ti he’s nervous, he won’t be able to think straight."

*****

The next day, Harry asked Victor to et at a cafe without Claudia present. Actually, Harry’s goal was not to invite Claudia because he was afraid of his father’s spies spying on them. If they are still together wherever they go, it could be said that the divorce certificate is just a fake docunt.

Victor looked nervous as he held the coffee cup because he was afraid of seeing Harry’s cruel gaze like the last ti Harry threatened him.

"Why did you hide in San Marina for a year?"
