Chapter 138: Chapter 138: Rescuer

Having waited for a long ti outside the orphanage area, Claudia had a bad feeling that sothing had happened to her husband. She continued to ask the firefighters to look for her husband who was still trapped in the building in order to save the children at the orphanage. Not only that, she also asked for help from the fire brigade to find the whereabouts of Fiona, who is still missing at this mont.

Claudia cried so much that her body couldn’t support it. "Harry... what are you actually doing now?"

Clarissa patted Claudia on the shoulder. "I’m sure Harry will survive. He definitely managed to save them all. I know Harry is a strong type of man."

"But, for so reason I just felt uncomfortable. I-"

"Don’t think about negative thoughts anymore! The more you don’t get rid of negative thoughts, the more Harry’s life will be threatened!"

For a mont, Claudia’s eyes were fixed on several paradics rushing to lift Fiona’s body on a stretcher. Claudia ran quickly to the paradics while looking at the unconscious Fiona.

"What about her condition?"

"She was out of breath because she inhaled too much smoke. We will take her to the hospital now."

"Then, take all the orphanage children and this woman to the Royal Family Hospital."

Claudia walked limply back to Clarissa and Sarah. Although she was relieved to see that Fiona was found with no burns, she was worried that Fiona’s life would not be saved because she had inhaled too much smoke. Watching the paradics rush to lift the bodies of the unconscious orphanage children made her even more desperate. Even though she was also involved in this rescue action, she felt it was still not enough. Moreover, it had been almost an hour and there was still no news from Harry.

On the other hand, Harry finally regained consciousness after his body was crushed by a bookshelf. Slowly he raised his body while lifting the bookshelf that fell on his back. His breathing beca increasingly labored and his headache from inhaling too much smoke. His eyes focused on the boy who was still hiding under the bed.

"Don’t cry anymore. I’m still alive." Harry extended his right hand to the boy again as he coughed. "Hold my hand. We have to get out of this place imdiately."

"Aren’t you hurt?" asked the boy, breaking into tears.

"It still hurts less than the bullets that have passed through my body."

The boy finally grabbed Harry’s hand tightly. He shifted his body out from under the bed then let his body be carried by a savior.

Harry opened his jacket then covered the boy’s body. "You just have to hold on. I will take you out now."

The boy was still screaming as he wrapped his arms around Harry’s neck. "Uncle is like a real superhero."

"My wife also always thinks of

as a superhero. That’s why you just trust . Your life will definitely be safe as long as I am around. If you rely on firefighters, your life will not necessarily be saved."

anwhile, Kyle and Thomas were still split up to explore the first and second floor areas, but their search was complete because they had confird that no one else was trapped. Now they are waiting in the area outside the orphanage gathered with won who look anxious. Especially Claudia, who was getting paler when she saw that only Kyle and Thomas had managed to get out of the building.

"Where’s Harry?" Claudia asked.

Kyle looked down in resignation while rubbing his face which was black due to exposure to ash and smoke. "We couldn’t find him, Claudia."

"Actually I wanted to look for it, but the condition of the building..."

"Why don’t you continue what you’re saying, Thomas?" Claudia hit Thomas’ chest several tis lightly. "Please, anyone make sure my husband is safe."

"Claudia, Harry will definitely survive. "You just have to wait patiently," suggested Kyle resignedly.

"How can I calm down if I haven’t seen my husband’s face?!"

At the sa ti, Harry was seen walking slowly while carrying a boy. Claudia ran to her husband in panic, especially since her husband was seen injured on his face and hands.

"Harry..."

Harry put the boy down then took him to the paradic team. After that, he returned to his wife who was crying in despair. His right thumb slowly wiped away the tears that continued to flood his eyelids.

"I told you before. I will keep my promise."

"But, you’re injured." Claudia touched her husband’s broad burning back. "What happened to you exactly?"

"I’ll tell you later when we get ho."

However, due to running out of breath and his back hurting from being hit by a bookshelf, Harry was no longer able to support his body. His vision beca increasingly blurry looking around him, his body fell to the ground and his eyes closed.

Harry was imdiately taken to hospital to be given treatnt for all his wounds. Claudia asked Dahlia for help as usual in treating Harry until Harry regained consciousness. Seeing her husband, who almost lost his life in order to save other people, made Claudia cry even more desperately in an executive suite.

Her right hand grabbed her husband’s cheek and forehead which was covered in bandages. "It definitely hurts. Why do you keep acting fine?"

"Do you know why your husband always pretends to be fine?" Dahlia recorded Harry’s heartbeat in the patient’s notebook.

"Because he doesn’t want himself to appear weak in my eyes."

"You’re wrong. He doesn’t want you to cry in front of him because he’s hurt."

"Even though he was the one who was injured, why is he still stubborn and doesn’t want to let

see him hurt? Indeed, until now I still have difficulty reading his mind."

"But he is good at reading your mind and heart. That’s why, he always looks fine in your eyes." Dahlia patted Claudia on the shoulder. "You guys have always been very compatible."

"How long do I have to wait for him to wake up? I’m sure he will be angry because I took him to the hospital."
