He looked crazed, with a tone full of mockery,

"You say I’m jealous of you? Yes, I am jealous. Jealous that you’re lucky enough to have a good father who gave you everything! I have been better than you since childhood, just because my father isn’t capable, do I have to endure all this?!"

"Your dad is good to ? Yes, uncle is indeed good to . But isn’t that just to make work myself to death for you?! If he was really good to , why didn’t he give the shares to , instead of giving them to you, his own son?!"

He Mingsheng watched He Wei’s madness without saying a word. But upon hearing this, he gave He Wei a look as if he was looking at an idiot. You yourself said he’s my dad, after a lifeti of hard work and building up his business, wouldn’t he leave it to instead of you, his nephew? He Wei must have a ntal issue.

And He Wei continued talking; how could the grievances in his heart for so many years be expressed in just a few words?

"Why would I betray the company? It’s not even my company. I’ve given so many years to the company and to you, can’t I take a little interest? Moreover, which of the materials I sold hard Mingsheng’s foundation? Wasn’t I just trying to develop so more connections for the company?"

He Mingsheng was completely speechless; how is it only now he realized He Wei had a ntal issue?

"So, the company should thank you?"

He Wei looked entirely self-assured, "Of course." The panic from being found out selling materials had now turned into his confidence after his complaints. Why shouldn’t he take so "interest"?

The matter of selling materials that was shown to him before was indeed just child’s play, a re appetizer; the real purpose of He Mingsheng was the ensuing events.

"Alright, you call this interest, then so be it. After all, these indeed haven’t hard Mingsheng’s foundation. But let ask you again, is it because I gave you too much authority? Is that why you did the tax evasion behind my back?"

He Wei froze montarily, not reacting, and asked back, "What tax evasion?"

"Take a look at the materials again," He Mingsheng said and tossed another pile of docunts to He Wei.

After He Wei finished going through the docunts, he incredulously went through them again.

"When did I do these things? I never did them!"

A glimr of pity flashed in He Mingsheng’s eyes; since the matter had been exposed, he had to find a scapegoat.

And He Wei was the best choice.

He Mingsheng picked up the boss’s chair that had been knocked over by He Wei earlier, checked to see the chair wasn’t broken, then sat in it, watching He Wei from behind the office desk, looking well-composed.

"But the docunts clearly state, every file has been through your hands, and every file bears your ’personal’ seal."

He Wei looked down and scrutinized the docunts again. As He Mingsheng said, he saw it, it was his own seal, but he had never seen these files! The seal... besides him, the only one who could access his seal was his secretary.

And that secretary...

He Wei suddenly raised his head, sharp gaze fixing on He Mingsheng, who looked leisurely behind the desk, "It was you! Wasn’t it? You sent that secretary, I knew it all along! You made her steal my seal!"

He finally understood, understood everything!

Why every ti he visited uncle’s house, uncle hesitated to speak. Each ti uncle seed about to tell him sothing, He Mingsheng appeared just at that mont.

He thought it was because uncle couldn’t stand his frivolous ways, not realizing that at that ti uncle wanted to tell him about this, only to be interrupted by He Mingsheng.

He slumped, defeated, onto the leather sofa in He Mingsheng’s office.

He Wei knew he couldn’t escape these matters, he was too foolish, he fell for the trap. But over the years, He Mingsheng also had his weaknesses caught by him.

"Even if you pin these issues on , Mingsheng’s reputation is already ruined now."

He Mingsheng didn’t care about this; he only wanted to reclaim all the power in He Wei’s hands.

"I know that. But it’s not your concern anymore; you should only worry about how you’ll get more penalties in prison, given that these aren’t the only cris you’ve committed."

The two again brought up the incident of Zhou Xue’s suicide. He Wei grew irritable once more.

"I already told you! I didn’t know it was drugs, I thought it was just sothing to liven things up!"

He Mingsheng shrugged indifferently, "These words are useless with , you better explain to the police."

Seeing his indifferent and even sowhat gloating expression, He Wei gradually cald down. Over these years, he had dealt with most of the shady dealings in the company; he certainly committed many wrongdoings, but his contributions to the company were far more than those of He Mingsheng.

He Mingsheng would spend his days in the office, signing a few docunts, reviewing a few plans, and the day would pass. Whereas he often had to travel, and whenever sothing arose that the subordinates couldn’t handle, he was the one to resolve it.

He Mingsheng rely moved his fingers and he had to run around for him. How did he beco more and more "naive"?

Does he really think he can maintain his position as CEO without him? Without him, which of those old foxes in the board of directors can He Mingsheng manage on his own?

"Tsk, then I’ll wait inside and see how you make Mingsheng rise again."

He Wei accepted his predestined fate. Over the years, he committed innurable wrongdoings, but those were just connected to capital interests, with more than just him doing similar things.

The only matter involving human life was Zhou Xue’s suicide.

Looking at He Wei with head held high, leaning back on the sofa, seemingly resigned to his fate, He Mingsheng dialed the secretary’s internal line.

"Bring them in, please."

Soon after, five or six officers wearing civilian clothes walked in.

They first showed their badges, proving their police identity. Then, they addressed He Wei sitting on the sofa, "Please co with us regarding Zhou Xue’s suicide and the mass drug abuse matters. We need you to cooperate with our investigation."

He Wei obediently stood up, smiled, looking at his hands cuffed by the officers.

Obediently, he followed the police out of He Mingsheng’s office, and they even spared him so dignity, covering his cuffed hands with a coat.

Having committed so many wrongdoings, he always worried one day things would be exposed. Now it’s over, finally, he can feel relieved. He Wei felt incredibly light.

And Zhou Xue, unexpectedly, he thought of that woman with a radiant smile at this mont.

Regarding her suicide, He Wei didn’t feel much at the ti, just considered it a troubleso matter. Now exposed, he unexpectedly felt a twinge of guilt, along with a fondness that existed while Zhou Xue was still alive.

Back then, he only cared about indulging himself and didn’t want to be bound by feelings, deliberately ignoring the new feelings Zhou Xue had.

In the end, he would not see her radiant smile again.

Don’t bla him, it was an unintended mistake.
