"Then, this concludes the eting. Thank you for your hard work."

The sluggish morning eting finally ca to an end. Kang Jinwook left the eting room before the room even brightened.

And there, standing in the hallway, was Im Haewon. No, before his eyes could even fully register, Kang Jinwook had already sensed the faint pheromones of an Oga.

Im Haewon had disappeared for a while, but after eting Kang Jin-tae, he had started to reappear.

Of course, Im Haewon wasn’t openly waiting for Kang Jinwook in the hallway. Judging by the conversation he was having with a colleague, it seed he was standing there to facilitate the progress of the eting.

Then, at that mont, it seed like Im Haewon had noticed Kang Jinwook's gaze. As soon as their eyes t, Im Haewon smiled.

It was a radiant and soft smile, typical of an Oga. At the sa ti, his sweet pheromones beca a little more pronounced.

As soon as Kang Jinwook realized this, he quickly turned his eyes away. Im Haewon's gaze relentlessly followed him as he walked away.

Since the secret eting with Kang Jin-tae, Im Haewon had been hovering around Kang Jinwook more frequently. It seed that eting with Kang Jin-tae had given him so newfound courage.

Of course, Kang Jinwook had already noticed that but had been ignoring it the entire ti. The real issue was that rumors about the two of them were spreading like wildfire in the company.

Even now, as he left the eting room or passed by the hallway, employees were sneakily watching Kang Jinwook and Im Haewon.

Kang Jinwook didn’t care. He simply walked toward the executive office with a neutral expression.

"Executive Director."

When Kang Jinwook sat at his desk, Secretary Gwak, who had followed him in, ca forward. He placed a phone on the desk.

"Vice President contacted you."

Since Kang Jinwook couldn’t take any calls during the eting, he had asked Secretary Gwak to handle it. It seed like the call had co through in the anti.

Kang Jinwook silently stared at Secretary Gwak, urging him to continue.

"The Vice President said that he ran into you and Choi Sunwoo at the hospital."

Kang Jinwook imdiately touched the phone’s screen. As expected, the na Kang Jin-tae appeared in the recent call log. But it wasn’t just a phone call.

At the top, there was also a ssage from Kang Jin-tae.

[Did you run into Sunwoo at the hospital? Is he not sick? Or did sothing happen that requires an examination? Co to think of it, Sunwoo has visited a few different hospitals lately. Did you know about that?]

Kang Jin-tae wasn’t subtly probing—he was openly making it clear. This showed how much attention he was paying to this situation and his confidence that whatever Kang Jinwook did, it would be useless.

"Given that they t after the interview with the hospital director, I don’t think it was just a coincidence."

Secretary Gwak cautiously added his opinion. That was probably true. Kang Jinwook had already anticipated such a situation and had given specific instructions to Butler Baek.

"As for the director?"

"As you instructed, the director only relayed what you said."

Kang Jinwook tossed his phone onto the desk, as if not intending to reply kindly to Kang Jin-tae.

"What about Chairman Kang?"

"Nothing significant yet."

Or maybe there was, but Kang Jin-tae had probably already given instructions and was just waiting to observe. In any case, it wasn’t sothing to focus on at the mont. More importantly...

"Seems like Kang Jin-tae has nothing to do these days. I should distract him a little."

Kang Jinwook said as he turned his attention to the monitor. His eyes, indifferent as they gazed at the full-screen graph, didn’t reflect the order that followed.

Back ho, Butler Baek closely monitored Sunwoo’s every move. His complexion didn’t appear any worse, nor did he seem to be troubled by anything.

After lunch, Sunwoo took a walk around the garden to help with digestion, then sat on the swing under a tree, basking in the sun after recent repairs.

In the afternoon, he took a short nap and, after dinner, quietly read a book in the living room until Kang Jinwook arrived. These days, Sunwoo had been reading a collection of fairy tales he had picked out from an independent bookstore in Jeju Island.

The stories were just right. Cute and warm stories featuring soft, round characters.

As usual, Butler Baek carefully photographed Sunwoo’s every action and occasionally passed the pictures on to Kang Jinwook. This continued even after Sunwoo moved to the living room sofa for the evening.

"Executive Director, you’re here."

Sunwoo, who had been reading a fairy tale with a pastel-colored picture, looked up at Butler Baek’s voice. At the sa ti, he spotted Kang Jinwook entering the room.

A black envelope, oddly hanging from his wrist, contained a large orange inside.

"You’re here? You’re late."

Sunwoo spoke first. Kang Jinwook nodded while quickly scanning Sunwoo’s face. As Butler Baek had said, he looked no different from usual.

"Have you had dinner?"

"I’ve eaten."

After a brief exchange, Sunwoo showed so interest in the envelope.

"What’s this?"

"You seed to enjoy it."

Sunwoo smiled as he rembered the sweet and tangy taste of the Hallabong fruit. Watching him, Butler Baek quickly took the envelope.

"Master Sunwoo, please sit. I’ll organize everything and bring it to you."

"Thank you."

Sunwoo answered promptly without refusing. He then turned to look at the empty-handed Kang Jinwook.

"What about you? Have you eaten?"

"Not yet."

"Again? I told you to eat sothing even if it’s late."

Sunwoo glanced at the clock on the wall. It was already 9 PM. From what he had observed over the past week, Kang Jinwook’s usual ti to leave work was around 8 PM.

On days when it was later, it sotis went past midnight. When Sunwoo asked about it after Kang Jinwook arrived ho, the usual answer was the sa.

"Hmm, wait. I’ll change and be right back."

Kang Jinwook quickly turned as though avoiding the scolding. Sunwoo watched his retreating back and clicked his tongue softly.

He hadn’t realized that while not properly taking care of himself, he was worrying about Kang Jinwook.

"Butler Baek, please prepare sothing simple for Kang Jinwook to eat!"

Sunwoo called out as he looked for Butler Baek, who had already disappeared into the kitchen.

"Yes, Master Sunwoo."

As Butler Baek replied, Sunwoo lowered his gaze to his book before setting it aside. He picked up the remote and turned on the TV. As he flipped through the channels, he found a program covering entertainnt news.

[Actor Y, who had been said to be recuperating in the U.S., surprised everyone with an announcent.]

[Yes. There had been many rumors due to Y’s sudden trip to the U.S., and with no updates, everyone was curious. After several months, Y has returned and announced a press conference, which is drawing a lot of attention.]

[Press conference? Oh… That’s a really exciting piece of news. What will be revealed there?]

[Oh, no. They wouldn’t reveal that just yet. But I think it’s related to sothing else.]

The three panelists were talking back and forth about the upcoming press conference, speculating about sponsorships, dating rumors, and even the possibility of Y being an Oga when it was previously believed they were a Beta.

Sunwoo, not particularly interested in entertainnt news, was about to switch channels when he suddenly heard Kang Jinwook’s voice.

"Did you get back from the hospital okay?"

Sunwoo recognized Kang Jinwook’s presence before he even spoke, sensing his pheromones. He gently rubbed his cheek with his hand.

Now, it was becoming so ingrained that he didn’t even need to consciously notice it. He almost felt like he was fully becoming an Oga.

No, that wasn’t it. Looking at Kang Jinwook’s slightly damp hair, it seed like he had just taken a shower, which was why the scent was stronger.

Sunwoo shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts.

"Sit."

At that mont, Butler Baek entered holding a tray. Sunwoo pointed to the seat across from him, but Kang Jinwook unhesitatingly took the seat next to him.

As a result, Kang Jinwook’s pheromones hit Sunwoo more strongly than before. Not just the pheromones, but the scent of body wash mixed in, creating a fresh yet soothing feeling...

No! No way!

Sunwoo quickly shook his head. He couldn’t figure out why he was evaluating the scent around him like that.

"Choi Sunwoo?"

"Huh? Oh, no. Uh, eat this."

Sunwoo hurriedly pushed one of the two plates Butler Baek had brought forward toward Kang Jinwook. One plate had a sandwich and salad, along with the orange Kang Jinwook had bought.

Kang Jinwook alternated between looking at the plate and Sunwoo, before finally reaching for the orange. His long, beautiful fingers picked up the fruit, releasing a tangy scent.

Sunwoo instinctively followed Kang Jinwook’s hand. When he saw the orange disappearing between his parted lips, he accidentally held his breath...

No! No way!

Sunwoo quickly turned his head. He hadn’t managed to change the channel yet, and the entertainnt news about actor Y was still playing.

Apparently, the actor was very famous, and clips from their previous films and advertisents kept switching on screen.

[The most likely rumor is about Y’s sponsorship, don’t you think? When’s the press conference scheduled?]

After discussing various rumors for about five minutes, the reporter finally gave the expected answer.

[Actor Y is currently staying in Seattle, USA. The press conference is scheduled for 10 AM local ti, which would be 2 AM KST.]

[Everyone will probably be waiting up all night for it.]

Finally, the segnt about the actor ended. As Sunwoo prepared to switch channels, he glanced over at Kang Jinwook, who was watching the TV. Did he actually care about these things? Sunwoo briefly considered it, but then rembered that Kang Jinwook had been watching the sa thing the previous day.

What mattered now wasn’t Kang Jinwook’s TV preferences. Sunwoo looked at the empty plate and set the remote down. It was ti to ask Kang Jinwook a question.
