terms!

This director was even crazier than Jiraiya imagined. Even after Naruto told him there were enemies on the glacier, the guy wasn’t scared at all. Instead, he got excited and told the crew to carry their caras down to film the fight scenes for the movie.

Naruto was stunned, then got so excited that he almost dragged Sasuke off the ship.

Too bad regular people can’t walk on water; otherwise, Naruto wouldn’t have waited quietly for the ship to dock.

Oh, by the way, Naruto and Sasuke’s rock-paper-scissors ga had gone on for so long that they’d lost track of who was winning. So, they agreed that whoever finished off their opponent first would get to take on the second enemy.

Jiraiya acted as a witness and stayed on guard to make sure the third enemy didn’t escape.

Even though he was still annoyed, Jiraiya didn’t mind letting Naruto and Sasuke gain more combat experience in this situation, so he agreed. With him around, there was no way the last ninja could run away.

Naruto rubbed his hands together eagerly, waiting for the glacier to appear. Sasuke polished his kunai, ready for the enemies to arrive. The film crew checked their caras excitedly, anticipating so epic footage.

anwhile, Fujikaze Yukie looked around, clearly thinking about sneaking away.

In short, everyone on the ship except for Jiraiya, who looked expressionless, was itching to do sothing.

Amid this tense atmosphere, about ten minutes later, the ship reached the glacier.

Almost instantly, Naruto’s sensory abilities activated, and he detected three chakra signatures shining like stars in the dark night.

Naruto frowned.

"Sasuke, two of these guys have really weak chakra. Even the Otogakure Ninja Four are stronger. The last one’s chakra feels about the sa as Kakashi-sensei’s."

Chakra isn’t just about quantity but also quality. For example, Kurama’s chakra, even when leaking out, can form the Four-Tails fox cloak. The sa amount of chakra from Kakashi would only be enough for a few Raikiri techniques.

Kurama’s strength lies not just in the amount of chakra but also in its quality. Equal amounts of Kurama’s chakra are far more powerful than that of an average ninja.

Why bring this up? The Otogakure Ninja Four’s affected by their cursed seals, isn’t weak in quality and is better than that of regular ninjas. But even so, their chakra isn’t at Kakashi’s level.

Now, Naruto sensed that only one of the three enemies could barely match Kakashi’s chakra, aning one might be a jonin while the other two were, at best, chunin level.

Sasuke frowned as well.

"Not even as strong as the Otogakure Ninja Four?"

Sasuke still couldn’t beat all four of the Otogakure Ninja Four together, but in a one-on-one fight, with his current second-stage curse mark state, he was confident he could win. After all, Jiraiya had been training them in combat techniques for a long ti, and Sasuke wasn’t the sa as before.

So, hearing that two of the enemies were weaker than the Otogakure Ninja Four, Sasuke felt a bit disappointed.

Suddenly, Sasuke had an idea.

"Naruto, I’ll let you take on two of them."

"Really?" Naruto lit up with excitent.

"Of course," Sasuke nodded. "But I have one condition."

Naruto’s smile instantly disappeared, and he beca cautious.

"What condition? Say it first."

"The strongest one is mine," Sasuke said without hesitation. "Look, you can deal with the other two. Even if you’re not strong enough, they’re still just numbers. Plus, they’re snow ninjas, so they probably have so teamwork, making them harder to handle. But I can focus entirely on one person. Doesn’t that sound perfect?"

A black line seed to appear on Naruto’s forehead.

"Do you think I’m stupid?"

Ninjas weren’t in a profession where numbers always gave an advantage. Teams like Ino-Shika-Cho, who worked so perfectly together, were rare. Most ninjas relied on their own strength. Even Kakashi and Guy, despite their coordination, only combined efforts for attacks or defense.

Unless the team was specifically trained for group combat, like Ino-Shika-Cho or the Sound Four, any "teamwork" was usually just basic cooperation. Snow ninjas being a perfectly trained team? Highly unlikely. Not everyone was like the three families of Ino-Shika-Cho, bound so closely together.

"Tsk," Sasuke clicked his tongue in disappointnt.

"You’ve actually gotten smarter."

"Hmph, I was never stupid," Naruto said with a smirk.

Sasuke glanced at Naruto, the corner of his mouth curling slightly.

"In that case, I’ll change my condition."

Naruto waved dismissively.

"Whatever it is, I won’t agree. Even if you bring up my parents, it’s not happening."

He pointed arrogantly at Sasuke.

"I’m telling you now: Uzumaki Naruto would rather die out here, jump off this ship, than agree to your terms."

What he said was final. No one could change it. Honestly, that’s the way of Uzumaki Naruto!

Kurama nodded approvingly. In this mont, Naruto was looking pretty cool.

"Then how about this," Sasuke said with a sly tone.

"I promise I won’t tattle to Hinata when we get back to the village, and I also won’t tease you about her during this ti."

Naruto: "..."

He was done for. Sasuke had him in a corner.

Kurama shouted in Naruto’s mind:

"Don’t give up, Naruto! Believe in yourself! Hinata isn’t even involved right now! You know her personality! She’d never bla you! Just apologize properly later, and everything will be fine. So hold your ground, Naruto!"

Encouraged by Kurama, Naruto managed to muster a bit of confidence.

He pointed a trembling finger at Sasuke.

"Y-you... do you think t-this kind of thing c-can tempt ? No way..."

"Hmm~" Sasuke raised his chin proudly.

"Your voice is shaking, Naruto."

Naruto: "..."

Not just his voice—his whole body was trembling.

Sasuke tossed a kunai lightly into the air and caught it as it fell, repeating the motion.

"Let guess. You’re thinking Hinata’s too kind to bla you. So as long as you apologize properly, it’ll be fine, right?"

Kurama: "..."

Sasuke gave him a knowing smile.

"But... can you imagine her expression when that happens? If you can, do you really think you’d want to see that look on her face?"

Naruto swallowed hard, his forehead covered in sweat.

He could imagine it. Just like Kurama said, Hinata wouldn’t bla him or get angry. She might even smile and say it was okay.

But that’s exactly why Naruto didn’t want Sasuke to snitch! Just imagining Hinata’s expression made him feel guilty, and if she smiled and said it didn’t bother her—ugh, it’d be even worse.

Sasuke, are you the devil?
