When Pei Shu’er and Tang Zan returned to the camp, everyone else in the kitchen couldn’t stop eating.

It was only then that the Fifteenth Prince caught the scent and arrived at the kitchen.

Of course, he also saw the dumplings in the kitchen, along with the wild mushrooms and a pot of bright red soup.

When he entered, the bustling kitchen fell into silence once again.

Afterwards, everyone began to cough and stood up to bow to Yan Hengjin.

"Greetings, Your Highness."

Yan Hengjin smirked, "Continue eating, I’m just here to take a look."

Zhang Feng couldn’t just let the Fifteenth Prince watch.

He served a bowl of dumplings for Yan Hengjin, as well as wild mushrooms, stewed ribs with mushrooms, and spicy blood stew.

Yan Hengjin took a bite and found the taste quite delightful. The fresh flavor of the dumplings filled his mouth, not greasy at all, but rather elastic and chewy.

He couldn’t resist taking another bite.

He nodded to Zhang Feng in praise, "Not bad, your cooking skills are impressive."

Zhang Feng coughed lightly, "This was made by Pei Shu’er."

Yan Hengjin stopped eating his al.

The mont he heard it was made by that woman, he lost his appetite, considering how truly detestable she was.

Moreover, she was the enemy of Doctor Liu, his lifesaver, who was standing next to him.

Knowing it was Pei Shu’er’s cooking and still eating it would break Doctor Liu’s heart, wouldn’t it?

He put down his chopsticks, wanting to stop, but couldn’t control the saliva pooling in his mouth.

It had been so long since he had sothing so delectable...

His eyes inadvertently drifted towards the dumplings, and even his hand subconsciously reached out for them.

After all, they were just dumplings; surely Doctor Liu wouldn’t be so petty, right?

Thinking this, Yan Hengjin quickly ate another dumpling.

Seeing Doctor Liu’s face darken as he expected, he grew sowhat annoyed.

Was he the master or was Doctor Liu?

He decided to eat!

He needed to show Doctor Liu the difference in status.

After finishing the bowl of dumplings, Zhang Feng served him another.

It was then that Yan Hengjin reached with his chopsticks to try so mushrooms.

Though initially intending to be critical,

he discovered that the mushrooms were surprisingly delicious, with an excellent texture.

He also finally tried so ribs, but after tasting them, his eyebrows raised, and the disdain in his eyes deepened.

"This Pei Shu’er’s cooking is so-so; this stewed ribs with mushrooms is terrible."

In reality, the taste was alright, but compared to the dumplings and stir-fried mushrooms, the stewed ribs and mushrooms were indeed too mundane.

Zhang Feng’s face flushed with embarrassnt, and he coughed awkwardly.

"Your Highness, I made that one myself."

The Fifteenth Prince frowned and then sarcastically pointed at the spicy blood stew.

"What is this stuff? It looks terribly unappetizing; it must be Pei Shu’er who made it."

As he spoke, he tasted a piece of pork intestine.

Then a smile involuntarily crept across his lips, and his pace eating the spicy blood stew quickened.

This dish turned out to be incredibly tasty, aromatic, spicy, and refreshing.

Zhang Feng looked like he couldn’t bear to watch, but in the end, under the gaze of the Fifteenth Prince, he spoke the truth.

"It’s made from pig blood, intestines, stomach, and lungs."

Yan Hengjin paused, his expression turning grim.

Doctor Liu shouted angrily, "How dare you, Zhang Feng, serve such disgusting food to the Fifteenth Prince!"

He thought he had found a way to trouble Zhang Feng and his group, but Zhang Feng simply frowned.

"Doctor Liu, are you overstepping? These are just ingredients we procured ourselves, a little treat we made. We didn’t know the Fifteenth Prince would also eat here."

Doctor Liu, realizing he was at fault here, looked to the Fifteenth Prince for support.

However, Yan Hengjin was eating the spicy blood stew with a grimace, sohow enjoying it despite himself.

He looked like a madman.

Yan Hengjin wanted to hold back; if it had been before eating the spicy blood stew, he might have had such self-control.

But after eating it, he found he simply couldn’t...

This strange dish with its nauseating ingredients had so sort of allure.

It seed to almost glue his eyes and lure his mouth.

Doctor Liu: "..."

Zhang Feng raised his eyebrows, served himself another bowl of dumplings, and a bowl of spicy blood stew, and sat on the side to eat.

Doctor Liu snorted and went to get himself a bowl, but as soon as he touched the ladle, Zhang Feng stopped him with a smile.

"This inferior food is probably unworthy of the esteed Doctor Liu."

Doctor Liu sneered, "I don’t need your permission to eat, do I?"

Zhang Feng shrugged, "These are our ingredients, and our cooking. If you want food, go outside and get it; the outside supplies are provided by the army."

Seeing Doctor Liu reluctance to leave, Zhang Feng laughed, "Are you perhaps trying to dine and dash, Doctor Liu?"

Doctor Liu hoped the Fifteenth Prince would stand up for him, but the prince was too engrossed in his al.

Even his lips turned red from eating, sipping and eating with abandon.

He didn’t want to lift his head, much less pay attention to what was happening around him.

Doctor Liu watched the vibrant array of delicious food, swallowed hard, and had no choice but to go for the food outside.

After getting his al and bringing it to the kitchen, he sat next to the Fifteenth Prince and ate, only to regret it imdiately.

He shouldn’t have brought it in; he should have eaten outside.

Compared to the food around him, his al looked like pig slop.

Boiled radish with cabbage, along with thin porridge.

It was fine on any other day as he wasn’t particular about food.

But now, sitting amidst people chewing and slurping, each mouthful followed by a sigh of satisfaction,

he couldn’t help but feel envious and jealous of their enjoynt.

The Fifteenth Prince was eating and sweating, taking out a handkerchief to wipe his brow.

He even coughed occasionally, but continued eating regardless.

Zhang Feng served the Fifteenth Prince more dumplings and dishes.

The Fifteenth Prince couldn’t eat anymore, and finally let out a burp.

"This, *burp*, should be made again tomorrow morning."

Zhang Feng saluted, "Your Highness, Pei Shu’er only cooked on a whim. Usually, she doesn’t co to the kitchen."

The Fifteenth Prince chuckled coldly, "Just tell her it’s an order from . Let’s see if she dares disobey."

Zhang Feng didn’t expect that this al would bring such trouble to Pei Shu’er.

If he had known, he would’ve just said he made it.

That night, he sent soone to inform Pei Shu’er.

After hearing from the soldier, Pei Shu’er couldn’t help but laugh.

"Go tell your Commander that the Fifteenth Prince might not have the sa appetite tomorrow."

Sure enough, that night, the Fifteenth Prince had a severe cough.

By the middle of the night, he was already coughing up blood.

Doctor Liu was summoned to attend to him, feeling both pleased and terrified.

The fear was that if the Fifteenth Prince died of coughing, he would lose a significant backer.

The joy ca from the fact that the Fifteenth Prince had eaten Pei Shu’er’s cooking.

Now Pei Shu’er would have to be held accountable.
