Pei Shu’er glanced again at the others who were busy.

She had soone call up those who were on their break and ticulously questioned them about who got close to the water.

With this investigation, the number of people increased.

Pei Shu’er quickly t with soone from Yuhua Valley, soone seemingly under Niu Hao’s influence.

She could only focus on the most suspicious individuals first, as the poisoned criminals were becoming impatient.

Pei Shu’er raised an eyebrow and picked out the short and thin man.

"Did you touch this water last night?"

The short, thin man furrowed his brows, resisting fiercely, as if wronged.

"I did not."

Pei Shu’er smiled, then turned her gaze to Niu Hao.

"You, step out."

Niu Hao furrowed his brows, "Pei Shu’er, I’m telling you, don’t bully the innocent and wrong good people at will."

Pei Shu’er smiled, "I haven’t said anything yet. If I really were to speak up, I’m afraid you wouldn’t be able to handle it."

Pei Shu’er said, "Where did you get the poison you gave him?"

Niu Hao furrowed his brows, "I don’t know what you’re talking about."

Pei Shu’er nodded faintly, "Don’t know, huh?"

Pei Shu’er smiled as she walked towards Niu Hao, who, upon looking at the much smaller person than himself, was inexplicably fearful.

Unconsciously, he took a step back.

Pei Shu’er stuffed a white pill into Niu Hao’s mouth.

Although Niu Hao tried to avoid it, Pei Shu’er forcefully held his jaw and pushed it in.

The previously agitated Niu Hao cald down shortly after swallowing the pill.

He stared quietly ahead.

Pei Shu’er smiled, "Did soone give you dicine?"

Niu Hao shook his head, "They didn’t give it to ; Liu Dahong received it."

Pei Shu’er raised an eyebrow, "Who is Liu Dahong?"

Niu Hao pointed at the only female criminal in Yuhua Valley.

Liu Dahong widened her eyes, trying to hide among the crowd.

Pei Shu’er smiled and walked towards Liu Dahong.

She had previously noticed that soone like her mixed in the wolf-like Yuhua Valley was incongruous, turns out she was a formidable person.

Soone capable of obtaining such a rare poison.

Moreover, Liu Dahong had also handled the water.

However, even with careful observation of her micro-expressions, Pei Shu’er couldn’t determine if Liu Dahong was lying.

She walked towards her, and Liu Dahong imdiately knelt on the ground, pleading while crying.

"Supervisor, Niu Hao deliberately wronged , I didn’t give anything."

Pei Shu’er looked at her carefully, still unable to see any sign of lying on her face.

If she didn’t trust her truth serum, she might have been deceived by this female criminal.

Pei Shu’er stood in front of Liu Dahong and without wasting words, straightforwardly fed her the truth serum.

Pei Shu’er asked, "Who gave you the dicine?"

Liu Dahong replied, "My uncle, Doctor Liu."

Upon uttering these words, she imdiately covered her mouth, tears streaming as she tried to defend herself.

She didn’t know why she would say such damning words.

Pei Shu’er continued, "Why did he give it to you, what are you to him?"

Liu Dahong didn’t want to speak, but her mouth and brain seed uncontrollable for a mont.

This drug was too mysterious!

She felt as if she was under the influence of Gu.

Only those people from the Southern Border had such skills!

"I’m his niece, he wants to help him get rid of you."

As soon as these words were spoken, Liu Dahong felt Doctor Liu’s glare; she cried even more fearfully.

Then she kept shaking her head, "No, no, I didn’t, I didn’t, I was wronged."

Pei Shu’er asked, "Do you know what dicine that is? Is there a prescription?"

"No."

"Who has it?"

"My uncle knows."

Pei Shu’er smiled as she released Liu Dahong, her eyes flickering with cold fire.

When she was about to inquire Doctor Liu, Liu Dahong held onto her foot, looking pained and fearful.

"What did you feed ? Why, why am I like this?"

Pei Shu’er gently said, "After I give your uncle so, you’ll know."

Pei Shu’er walked towards Doctor Liu.

Perhaps because Pei Shu’er had such a mysterious skill set.

Everyone automatically moved out of her way.

Pei Shu’er stood smiling in front of Doctor Liu, his two apprentices and so soldiers imdiately surrounding her.

Doctor Liu angrily said, "Pei Shu’er, are you actually daring to attack a military doctor? That’s punishable by death."

Pei Shu’er raised an eyebrow, "Oh? If the military doctor willingly confesses, then I wouldn’t have to resort to such techniques."

Doctor Liu looked displeased, Pei Shu’er continued to smile, "What, you’re unwilling to confess?"

Doctor Liu imdiately retorted.

"Pei Shu’er, do you think by getting these two to put on a play that you can bring down?"

"You’re too naive! General Zhao has sharp eyes that can see through any conspiracy and trick."

As soon as Doctor Liu said this, the others imdiately realized.

Yes, Pei Shu’er can’t have such powerful drugs, she must have gotten people to act out a scene with the intent to drag Doctor Liu down.

General Zhao also angrily said, "Pei Shu’er, Doctor Liu is highly respected, don’t do unnecessary things."

Pei Shu’er raised her brows, knowing she couldn’t forcibly confront Doctor Liu; she had missed the elent of surprise.

She smiled gently.

"Then perhaps Doctor Liu should carefully consider whether the dicine might have been lost, given that two hundred criminals have been poisoned now."

Doctor Liu was unwilling to speak; if he did, it would expose him.

"I don’t know what you’re talking about? Don’t put any hat like that on my head..."

Before the word "head" was uttered, she felt a small pill accurately popped into her mouth.

Her technique was precise; Doctor Liu instinctively swallowed the pill.

Doctor Liu looked displeased, glaring at Pei Shu’er with hatred.

"You wretched girl! Watch not kill you."

As he spoke, he rushed at Pei Shu’er, hands grasping and clawing as if he intended to kill her.

Unfortunately, Pei Shu’er’s movents were agile, as if she was playing with Doctor Liu.

Pei Shu’er waited for the dicine to take effect, then spoke.

"Doctor Liu, what is the prescription?"

Doctor Liu said, "I only know it’s Yellow Spring Powder, but I don’t know the prescription."

As soon as this was said, Doctor Liu imdiately covered his mouth.

His eyes widened in disbelief.

Why?

Why would he say such things?

Clearly, if he just didn’t speak, no one could do anything to him.

But why?

His mouth seed beyond his control.

Pei Shu’er raised her brow; it was indeed Yellow Spring Powder.

This drug was recorded in the original book, describing how the female lead discovered people poisoned with Yellow Spring Powder, then found the prescription and subsequently concocted the antidote.

Pei Shu’er still rembered the prescription, although the text didn’t detail how the female lead prepared the antidote.

"Is there an antidote?"

Doctor Liu said, "There’s no antidote to Yellow Spring Powder, it’s certain death."
