By the ti her feet started to feel numb, she finally turned to head back to the stone hut.

As she turned her head, she saw "Tang Zan" watching her with eyes as dark and deep as black gemstones.

Pei Shu’er walked toward him with a smile, leaning close to him, her voice sweet as if coquettishly.

"What, does the Princely Heir not trust ?"

Because she was quite close, her breath brushed against his face as she spoke. Shiqi’s face imdiately flushed red, then quickly faded.

Pei Shu’er handed the wooden box to him.

"Help hold this. I’ve been holding it for so long, I’m quite tired."

Shiqi took it, and Pei Shu’er’s fingertips inadvertently touched him, making Shiqi’s heart skip a beat.

Pei Shu’er smiled and lowered her gaze.

Surprisingly, it really had no effect at all.

If it’s not the Power of Plot, then it must be because of this "Tang Zan."

After Pei Shu’er returned to her room, she went straight to the space.

She closed her eyes and took a short nap in the space. Feeling her energy was restored, she left the space.

White Rice was bouncing around her room, nearly tearing it apart.

Pei Shu’er had no choice but to bring it into the space.

In the evening, Pei Shu’er told Yinxing she wanted to have sweet porridge.

She asked Yinxing to prepare and bring her two bowls.

Pei Shu’er took the tray and then knocked on Tang Zan’s door.

Shiqi quickly ca to the door, and when he saw Pei Shu’er, his eyes lit up, but his tone remained as impatient as Tang Zan’s usual self.

"What is it?"

Pei Shu’er walked in with a smile, placing the two bowls of sweet porridge on the table, speaking in a playful tone.

"Haven’t you heard? A wife entering her husband’s room needs no reason."

Shiqi picked up the sweet porridge and ate quickly yet gracefully. His every action modeled after Tang Zan.

He had learned this since childhood; his life’s value was emulating Tang Zan.

As Pei Shu’er ate, she watched him with amusent.

She looked at Shiqi until his face burned with shyness.

He had been trained to resist temptation, even with more alluring won before him, he would not be fazed.

But now, just having this woman stare at him made him feel uneasy.

Her eyes seed to have hooks; he had never seen such a combination of innocence and allure in a girl.

Pei Shu’er smiled and said, "Take your ti eating, there’s more here."

Shiqi lifted his eyes to look at Pei Shu’er, seeing the girl appear veiled and indistinct.

Yet her eyes held warmth and tolerance.

She was like water, enveloping people, making them lose the ability to resist.

In those watery eyes, Shiqi’s mind grew more and more dizzy.

He pressed his lips together, but before he could say a word, he fell with a thud onto the table.

When he awakened, he saw Pei Shu’er leaning back in a chair, dressed in a pink outfit, looking very pretty.

While he was thrown on the ground, making the playful Pei Shu’er appear superior.

Pei Shu’er smiled and asked, "So, ready to tell the truth?"

Shiqi frowned, his expression cold.

He had spent his life imitating Tang Zan, and his motions were all Tang Zan’s.

"Pei Shu’er, let go, or don’t bla for killing you."

Pei Shu’er shrugged, "You imitate him well, but there’s no need to do it in front of ."

She laughed, pinching Shiqi’s cheek.

"You’ve been found out."

But no matter how she pinched, she couldn’t find where the human-skin mask’s edge was, making her a bit puzzled.

Seeing the red marks on Shiqi’s face from her pinching, her tone turned cold and sharp.

"Tell , where did you take Tang Zan?"

Hearing this, for an instant, Shiqi’s face showed panic, but he quickly concealed it.

"Pei Shu’er, I am Tang Zan."

At these words, Pei Shu’er smiled and shook her head.

"I really didn’t want to be so cruel to you."

In Pei Shu’er’s eyes, Shiqi saw a trace of coldness.

Imdiately after, Pei Shu’er injected a dose of truth serum into Shiqi’s arm.

This was sothing that didn’t exist in ancient tis, and Shiqi hadn’t had any related training.

Under Pei Shu’er’s interrogation, he hazily confessed.

By the ti the drug wore off, he felt as though he had been pulled out from water, completely exhausted and nauseous.

He looked at Pei Shu’er, and shouted coldly.

"What are you trying to do?"

Pei Shu’er smiled, "I’m not trying to do anything."

After saying this, Pei Shu’er released Shiqi, and when she opened the door, she saw Xuan Liu standing there.

Xuan Liu looked at Shiqi’s state, his face imdiately changed.

Walking over to Shiqi, then he kneeled before Pei Shu’er.

"Young Madam, please forgive us. The Lord told us before he left that if you find out, there’s no need to stop you."

Tang Zan was extrely familiar with Pei Shu’er; he knew that such a clever woman, even if Shiqi resembled him, could never be him.

He had long anticipated Pei Shu’er would know.

Pei Shu’er sneered, "Why stop ? What he does is none of my business."

After all, he’s just a fair-weather friend.

He can’t fight alongside her, so she’ll find another, and when she’s strong enough, she’ll carve out her own world.

Then, Pei Shu’er returned to her own room, her face noticeably colder than before.

Seeing Pei Shu’er’s expression, Yinxing quickly asked.

"Young Madam, what’s wrong?"

Pei Shu’er shook her head, a smile forming on her face.

"Nothing, I’m just fine."

Yinxing pressed her lips together, not daring to ask further. Pei Shu’er looked anything but fine right now.

She seed evidently angry.

Pei Shu’er picked up her change of clothes and went to the bathroom.

When she ca back, without saying a word, she took the little White Tiger into the space.

She rested on the big bed while White Rice ran around in the space.

She seed asleep, yet it was like she wasn’t, as the original plot she rembered played in her mind over and over.

In the original plot, there were so notes about this segnt in Tang Zan’s moirs.

After escaping the wolf’s mouth, he spent a long ti recovering outside until he heard the news that Tang Peizhong was to be executed, so he went to save him.

However, the person he saved turned out not to be the War King, but an assassin sent to kill Tang Zan.

Thus, Tang Zan couldn’t save the person and nearly lost his own life, disappearing once again.

During his recovery, the War King was indeed executed.

It’s said that his blood flowed everywhere, and even at his death, he called out his innocence.

At the mont of his death, he said only this.

"Pei Zhong only wishes for Dayan’s eternal glory."

A typical example of blind loyalty.

Because of this incident, Tang Zan completely turned to darkness.

He realized that the Emperor, who once fought alongside his father, was determined to take his and his father’s lives.

After that, nothing could stop him, be it gods or Buddha.

He turned into a complete, rciless killer.
