Fang Anning was drenched with cold water and spent a frozen night, and the next day, she caught a terrible cold.

Her nose ran and she wouldn’t stop sneezing, without even a tissue to use, only able to wipe it on her sleeve.

How many years had it been since she last resorted to sothing so disgusting?

She never thought that as an adult, she could still end up doing sothing this repulsive.

"Sir asked

to take you to have a bath and change into clean clothes."

Suddenly, the door opened, and Mrs. Chen walked in from outside. But she spoke with a stern face, lacking any of the previous warmth and kindness.

Fang Anning quickly nodded; she had been cold all night, feeling a chill even deep in her bones.

Now, all she wanted was to quickly take a hot shower, not able to think much about anything else.

Mrs. Chen led her to the guest room, and she hurried into the bathroom to turn on the tap.

The hot water ca down, making her shiver intensely.

It took a while before she slowly got used to the heat, feeling comfortable both ntally and physically.

When she finished bathing and ca out, she saw Mrs. Chen had brought a set of clean clothes and was waiting for her.

Fang Anning took the clothes and thanked her, then went back into the bathroom to get dressed.

When she ca out again, she saw Mrs. Chen holding a cup of hot milk.

Fang Anning was so touched!

She quickly took it and drank it all in one gulp, and after finishing the milk, moved by emotion, she lunged towards Mrs. Chen, giving her a tight hug: "Mrs. Chen, thank you so much!"

Mrs. Chen quickly pushed her away, saying coldly, "Miss Fang, please show so decorum; you and I are not close."

"Mrs. Chen, what’s wrong? How are we not close? We have been together day and night for so long, we couldn’t possibly be closer."

"Hmph, Miss Fang really overestimates . I’m just a servant, how could I be close with soone like Miss Fang?" Mrs. Chen snorted coldly.

Fang Anning frowned, looking at her puzzled.

Mrs. Chen, a person of honest and simple character, acting so strangely all of a sudden was indeed odd.

And thinking about the way Tingchen treated her yesterday, she felt sothing was very wrong.

She definitely did not cheat nor did she flirt with anyone.

Fang Anning didn’t hear clearly what he said, and frowned, asking, "What did you say?"

Then she hurriedly added, "I really have nothing to do with this guy, you can beat him up, beat him to death, I wouldn’t feel sorry."

He Tingchen closed his eyes then opened them again, his eyes full of coldness.

Fang Anning was so frightened that she stepped back. She bit her lip, her heart pounding.
