Chapter 123: Chapter 123: The Consequences of Arguing with Him
"Do you believe it?" He Tingchen asked.
Fang Anning smiled and said, "Why wouldn’t I believe it? Young and reckless, two good brothers falling for the sa girl is a classic trope among the sons of wealthy families. But I’m really curious, what does that girl look like, that both of you liked her at the sa ti?"
"Want to know?"
"I’m a bit curious." Fang Anning smiled and nodded.
The man looked at her, his deep eyes gently sweeping across her face, and said in a low voice, "Anyway, she’s prettier than you."
Fang Anning: "..."
Cuts.
Watching the man’s retreating figure, she stuck her tongue out.
Now she knew why He Tingchen was unwilling to marry those won; it turned out that in his heart, there was an ’old fla’.
For that ’old fla’, he didn’t even care about his longti good brother, and angrily broke ties for the sake of a beauty.
So, how could he be willing to be with those other girls afterward?
Naturally, he would do everything possible to make them leave, even earning himself the terrible nickna ’King of Hell’.
As for herself...
Perhaps it’s because she was of the right age and he needed an heir; otherwise, he couldn’t explain it to the ancestors of the He family.
Thus, she got to stay and have a child for him.
Ha, she wondered whether she was lucky or unlucky, just happening to be the one he chose at this ti.
"Madam, what are you daydreaming about? Hurry up and wash your hands, and have a al with Mr. He." Mrs. Chen ca over and saw her daydreaming, couldn’t help but smile and remind her.
Fang Anning ca to her senses, looked at Mrs. Chen and asked, "Mrs. Chen, do you think Mr. He treats
well?"
"Of course, you’re the first woman he’s treated this way," Mrs. Chen smiled and answered.
Fang Anning smiled, neither agreeing nor disagreeing.
She got up and went downstairs; sure enough, He Tingchen was already waiting for her in the dining room.
Before, He Tingchen never waited for her; he always ate by himself, and wouldn’t spare her a glance even when she arrived.
But since she beca pregnant, he had started to wait for her to sit down together for als.
She thought, what he was waiting for was not her, but the child in her belly.
"After you finish your al tomorrow, co with ," He Tingchen said after wiping his mouth.
Fang Anning asked in surprise, "The birthday party? Mrs. Liao’s birthday party?"
He Tingchen nodded.
Fang Anning quickly said, "But I think it’s better if you don’t take
along."
"Why?"
"Because Mrs. Liao doesn’t like ! She will be upset when she sees . It’s only her birthday once a year, why should we spoil her mood?"
Besides, isn’t it nice to stay at ho studying?
Why bother going there when she can’t even enjoy the food and has to put up with grievances.
"You are my wife; you can’t always hide from her," He Tingchen said.
Fang Anning inwardly complained, it’s not forever, I will leave after giving birth.
However, she dared not say this out loud. She awkwardly smiled and said, "I’m mainly afraid of upsetting Mrs. Liao. During her birthday, she should keep a good mood, why let
spoil it?"
"That’s settled then, you’ll co with
tomorrow." He Tingchen’s gaze deepened, then he stood up and went upstairs.
Fang Anning puckered her lips, angrily throwing her chopsticks onto the table.
The chopsticks clattered against the plates, startling Mrs. Chen, who hurried over and asked, "What’s wrong, Madam?"
"It’s nothing, don’t say Mr. He is good to , he’s not good to ," Fang Anning said huffily.
If he truly cared for her, he would respect her decisions and let her stay comfortably at ho, not et people she didn’t want to see.
She felt that he was actually worried she was getting too comfortable and wanted her to be unhappy, hence forcing her to do things she didn’t want to.
"Madam, please calm down, getting angry is not good for the baby," Mrs. Chen quickly tried to pacify her.
It was the first ti she had seen her so angry, Mrs. Chen was quite startled.
"It’s not that I want to get mad and lash out, but he’s intentionally provoking ," Fang Anning deliberately raised her voice.
She was too flustered at the mont, that’s why she purposefully wanted He Tingchen to hear.
Moreover, since she knew those secrets, Fang Anning felt that He Tingchen wouldn’t really do anything to her, thus she was sowhat fearless.
Sure enough, with her voice raised like that, how could He Tingchen not hear.
He who had already gone upstairs, ca down again.
Mrs. Chen was almost frightened to death, hastily pleading with He Tingchen, "Sir, Madam just wasn’t thinking straight, it wasn’t intentional, please don’t be angry."
"Mrs. Chen, stop blocking him, I actually want to see what he can do to ," Fang Anning pushed Mrs. Chen aside, glaring defiantly at He Tingchen.
He Tingchen’s eyes were deep and cold as he asked, "Who gave you the courage to yell at
like this?"
"No one gave
courage, if you really think there’s any, it’s your son who gave it to ," Fang Anning said, touching her belly.
Mrs. Chen was still trying to convince him and got frightened by a stern look from He Tingchen.
"Leave," He Tingchen commanded.
Reluctantly, Mrs. Chen had to leave, but not without turning back every few steps. Before disappearing, she still reminded He Tingchen, "Sir, rember, Madam has a pregnancy."
He Tingchen clenched his fist, looking at Fang Anning’s belly, and gritted his teeth asking, "Do you really think I wouldn’t dare do anything to you?"
"What do you want to do to ? Kill ? Two lives with one corpse?" Fang Anning coldly snorted.
"Fang Anning, enough is enough," He Tingchen scolded.
Fang Anning was indeed startled by his stern voice, flinching slightly.
But soon enough, she tilted her face back and said, "You should stop pushing . I said I don’t want to attend Mrs. Liao’s birthday party, why must you force
to? I am the mother of your child, but I’m not a puppet you control. I am my own person, please rember that."
"I know, if you were a pig, you would have been taken to the slaughterhouse," He Tingchen retorted.
Fang Anning: "..."
Why did she feel like He Tingchen was insulting her?
"Anyway, it’s still the sa, I don’t want to go tomorrow, so I won’t go with you," Fang Anning firmly stated.
"You don’t have a say," He Tingchen coldly said.
It seems like the issue isn’t about going, but a tug-of-war between them, a battle to see who will win.
Fang Anning clenched her fists in anger and shouted, "I just won’t go, what are you going to do, tie
up and take
there?"
He Tingchen suddenly walked towards her.
Fang Anning stepped backward in fear.
"What are you doing?"
Was he daring to lay his hands on her?
No way, she was carrying his child, she did not believe he would dare hit her.
Sure enough, He Tingchen didn’t hit her but instead bent down to pick her up and carried her upstairs.
Fang Anning’s body lifted into the air, startling her as she yelled, "He Tingchen, what are you going to do?"
He Tingchen kept a stern face and didn’t speak.
His face looked terrifyingly grim, and even with his handso visage, it was still frightening.
"He Tingchen, don’t ss around, I’m pregnant," Fang Anning warned him.
But He Tingchen ignored her, holding her aloft majestically as he climbed the stairs, opened the bedroom door, and kicked it shut.
Fang Anning finally felt fear.
As He Tingchen laid her on the bed and then climbed up himself.
"He Tingchen, you can’t do this, I’m pregnant. This could harm the baby in my belly, and the old master wouldn’t forgive you."
Fang Anning backed away, warning him as she did.
However, He Tingchen just hooked up the corners of his mouth, revealing a devilish cold smile, and slowly said, "You were so tough just now, weren’t you? How co you are scared now? You should have expected this outco when you provoked
earlier. Don’t worry, I won’t hurt the child in your belly. That’s my child too, and I’ll cherish him even more than you. And regarding your pregnancy, I am very clear you won’t be hard."
"So what exactly are you trying to do?" Fang Anning asked in panic.
Why did she find his gaze so terrifying?
It felt like he was about to devour her.
"Stay still, don’t move," He Tingchen embraced her waist and said in a husky voice.
He lightly hovered above her, kissing her forehead, which was furrowed in panic.
His action made Fang Anning even more certain of her suspicion.
She rembered that since she got pregnant, he hadn’t touched her again.
But...
"I’m pregnant; if you want, you can find other won," Fang Anning reminded him.
"Stay obedient," He Tingchen whispered in her ear.
Fang Anning closed her eyes, her body trembling slightly.
An hour later.
Fang Anning gasped for air, her body drenched in sweat as if pulled from the water.
He Tingchen had already gotten up, dressed neatly, and turned to look at her as he felt her gaze.
Fang Anning’s face flushed "red" at once.
Her eyes, also red, looked at him coquettishly.
Psh.
She really thought he was so ascetic with no desires; little did she expect he was actually lewd.
She didn’t know where he learned those techniques from, it was almost... heavenly, she almost thought she would die.
"Shall we take a shower?" He Tingchen suddenly bent down, coming closer to ask.
Fang Anning blushed and said, "Of course."
As she spoke, she tried to get up to go shower.
But unexpectedly, she was so weak that she couldn’t even sit up.
He Tingchen quickly caught her to prevent her from falling and said, "Be careful, If you hurt my child at this ti, you won’t be able to take responsibility."
Fang Anning bit her lip and sulkily said, "It’s all your fault."
"Blaming ? Bla
for what?"
"If it weren’t for you, how would I be so weak?"
"It is indeed my fault, so, I apologize," He Tingchen said as he bent down to pick her up and carry her to the bathroom.
His apology was by personally showering Fang Anning.
During the entire process, Fang Anning almost felt like passing out again.
Originally, she was not one for such desires; her first experience had not been very pleasant, and it was more about nervousness.
Each ti after, she involuntarily tensed up when she was by his side.
But this ti, maybe because of the hormonal upheaval from her pregnancy, she felt an unprecedented pleasure.
Even when she looked at him, mysterious feelings erged, which made her almost afraid to et his eyes.
Every ti she t his gaze, her heart raced, her cheeks flushed, and her mind slightly dizzy.
