Chapter 580: Chapter 579

Susan Simpson took an incredulous step back, staring at the mirror in astonishnt. She wasn’t foolish; as a subordinate of Fox, she had done similar things before.

Upon entering the room, she had checked for places where hidden caras might be installed and found none.

Furthermore, after spending ti with the Olsen family, she knew that even Ellis Olsen, known as the fiend of Clance on the surface, was actually a kind person. Such a family wouldn’t possibly install hidden caras in a guest room.

That’s why she dared to say those words to South Jenkins.

She swallowed hard and abruptly stepped forward, grabbing Peter Olsen’s arm: “Peter, let explain…”

“Check it!”

At that mont, a frail voice spoke, and both turned around to see Kiera Olsen supporting a drenched South Jenkins, coming over to them.

South Jenkins looked pale, her lips oddly white due to lack of oxygen. She glared at Susan Simpson, her voice weak yet filled with anger: “Check the surveillance, she just tried to kill ! I want to check the surveillance, call the police…”

These words made Susan Simpson’s pupils shrink.

Peter Olsen also tensed up.

Susan Simpson imdiately spoke: “South, this is all a misunderstanding, I misunderstood you just now, I apologise. As for the surveillance, let’s not check it. Uncle is still seriously ill, and no one is really in the mood to check the surveillance, let’s not trouble Peter and the Olsen family!”

Hearing this, South Jenkins hesitated slightly.

Kiera Olsen, who was supporting her, spoke directly: “The Olsen family isn’t afraid of this trouble. If my brother doesn’t dare to check, then I will.”

After saying this, Kiera Olsen was about to walk out.

But Susan Simpson blocked her way: “Little sister, no, I know I was wrong, no need to check anymore, it was , I slandered her…”

She knew that no matter what, the surveillance must not be checked.

Kiera Olsen stared at her: “Why are you so afraid?”

Susan Simpson swallowed hard, then looked at Peter Olsen: “Peter, I really know I was wrong, but I did it because I love you!”

Peter Olsen was bewildered by this: “You love ?”

Susan Simpson burst into tears: “Ever since South Jenkins appeared, you’ve only had eyes for her, you’ve never looked at once. It hurts! I’m afraid she will steal you away!”

Peter Olsen was even more stunned: “I’ve only had eyes for her? Are you mistaken? How could…”

His words trailed off, and for so reason, he suddenly rembered his past interactions with South Jenkins.

Although Peter Olsen was usually slow to react and hadn’t noticed anything, now being pointed out by Susan Simpson, he was utterly bewildered as he looked at South Jenkins.

Unbeknownst to him, he always wanted to see South Jenkins whenever he ca ho.

And he liked the feeling of bickering with South Jenkins; it was very relaxing, imrsing him completely. He even enjoyed watching South Jenkins get agitated and even listening to her scold him was a pleasure.

He hadn’t thought much of it before, but now that Susan Simpson ntioned it, could it be that he… really had shifted his affection?

By rights, the Olsens were supposed to carry genes of deep affection, so why had it changed to fickleness with him?

Peter Olsen, dazed, looked at South Jenkins.

Only then did he realize that even seeing her pale face gave him a bit of heartache…

This is bad, this is bad…

Peter Olsen abruptly averted his gaze, not daring to look at South Jenkins anymore.

He directly scolded: “Susan Simpson, what nonsense are you spouting?!”

Seeing his strong reaction, Susan Simpson knew he must be feeling guilty, and imdiately bit her lip, questioning: “Not at all? Peter, are you sure?”

Peter Olsen, feeling guilty, did not dare et her gaze: “I’m not, I…”

“Before she could finish, Susan Simpson angrily shouted, ‘Peter, you’ve changed your heart; you’ve been seduced by that seductress! Do you know how sad it makes to see you like this?'”

Her eyes reddened, and she lowered her head: “I did all this for you, that’s why I drove South Jenkins out of the Olsen family, so that you would only have eyes for in the future!”

Peter Olsen stared at her fixedly, unsure what to say.

Keira Olsen then asked, “What about the one million in her bank account?”

“It was , I had soone transfer it…” Susan Simpson knew she had to admit it now, as the surveillance footage was clearly displayed there.

She started crying, “Little sister, I was just afraid your brother would be seduced away by her, that’s why I strayed, please forgive !”

She wiped her tears and then earnestly looked at Peter Olsen: “Peter, I was wrong, I truly know my mistake now, I promise I won’t bother South Jenkins anymore, okay?”

After finishing, she looked towards South Jenkins: “South Jenkins, I was really wrong, can you please let go just this once? Let go, and I won’t take back the one million in your bank!”

South Jenkins stared at her, trembling with anger.

She recalled the feeling of almost suffocating just now in the water, thought of the pain of near death, and knew that if it were not for herself, she would have already died in that bathtub.

Yet how can the perpetrator have the audacity to say such words here?

Expecting her to forgive?

Really thinking she, South Jenkins, was soone whose life could be bought with money?

South Jenkins coughed once, glaring at Susan Simpson and angrily said, “No. You can’t afford my life!”

Susan Simpson was choked up.

South Jenkins then looked towards Keira Olsen: “Miss Olsen, may I call the police?”

Keira Olsen nodded: “Yes, I respect your decision.”

She picked up her phone, “Do you need to dial the number for you?”

“No need.” South Jenkins found her own phone, and spoke word by word: “I’ll do it myself! She frad for murder, transferred money to , tried to kill , she’s committed attempted murder! Susan Simpson, I want you to pay for what you did today!!”

She was about to make the call when Susan Simpson imdiately rushed over, grabbing hold of her phone: “No, South Jenkins, I’m begging you, don’t, listen to …”

South Jenkins tried to free herself but couldn’t.

Keira Olsen then stepped forward, slightly forcefully pushed Susan Simpson away.

South Jenkins picked up her phone again.

“Bang!”

Susan Simpson knelt down again, this ti not towards South Jenkins, but towards Peter Olsen.

She yelled, “Peter, are you really just going to watch and do nothing about my life and death?!”

Peter Olsen pursed his lips tightly: “Susan, I…”

“Peter, I saved your life back then, all because I loved you. Are you going to treat poorly for an outsider? Peter, you won’t ignore , right? I’m your lifesaver! Peter, say sothing! Tell South Jenkins to stop, ask her to forgive this one ti, okay?”

Peter Olsen looked at Susan Simpson, montarily hesitating.

The scene of the car accident years ago flashed in his mind, hazily seeing Susan Simpson rescuing him.

Back then, Susan was burned on her arm while trying to save him.

Indeed, he couldn’t just watch over her…

Peter Olsen looked towards South Jenkins, seed about to say sothing, yet knew he shouldn’t be the one to speak…

Seeing this, South Jenkins glanced at Susan Simpson and scoffed, “What lifesaver?”
