In disbelief, she looked at the police officer: “What did you say? That wife claid it was us who started the fight? It was clearly that man who pushed first, he…”

Tom Davis went off to the side with the officer.
It was then that Erin South Martin slowly turned her head, looking at Kiera with a sense of grievance: “Keera, why is this happening?”

Erin South Martin was like a frostbitten eggplant, following Kiera out the door.

Erin South Martin had fully recovered, the recent event seeming to have no lasting effect on her, and the four of them, along with Amy, found another place to eat before heading to a makeup studio for preparation.
The evening gowns had already been prepared, and after getting dressed, they tidied up and went to the hotel lobby where the engagent ceremony for Scott Martin and Vera South was to take place.
As they approached the entrance, they saw the Martin family’s butler there collecting invitations. Those allowed to enter were all prominent figures from Clance, and the scrutiny was very strict.
They stood at the entrance waiting for the Olsen family to arrive.
In the parking area, Rebecca Allen and Frankie Allen stepped out of their car.
The Martin family had a sizable influence abroad, so the five major families of Clance were willing to give them this respect, and most of the people who ca today were elders from various families, accompanied by their younger relatives.
Since Frankie Allen was now the head of the Allen Family, Mrs. and Mr. Allen did not attend.

Rebecca peered into the car, asking, “Brother Xu, where is Keira?”
Ellis coughed lightly, “She went ahead earlier with Mr. Horton!”
“She’s already here? If I had known, I would’ve ssaged her earlier. I’ve wasted so much ti waiting here!” she deflated upon hearing the news and hurried toward the banquet hall.
Frankie respectfully nodded to Ellis.
Ellis returned the gesture and continued to explain to Rebecca, “My sister just texted. Since our invitation was with theirs, they are waiting for us at the entrance to the banquet hall.”
Rebecca quickened her pace, “Then let’s hurry. We shouldn’t keep the benefactor waiting too long!”
Ellis had no choice but to pick up the pace.
Rebecca then cast another glance inside his car, seeing no one else co out, she couldn’t help but ask with a tinge of jealousy, “What about Miss Mary? Is she with Keira? What did they do this afternoon? Why didn’t they leave from ho? Did they go out for lunch? Why didn’t they invite ?”
Ellis replied, “…Miss Mary is feeling a bit unwell. She rested at ho today.”
At that, Rebecca’s eyes lit up, “Really?”
That’s great! No one to compete with her for the position of benefactor’s little follower tonight!
But when she saw Ellis’s stern face, Rebecca realized she’d shown her feelings too clearly. It was sowhat inappropriate to rejoice at his wife’s illness…

Rebecca’s thoughts were sweet until she rushed to the entrance of the banquet hall and, from a distance, saw Kiera. Her eyes sparkled even brighter: “Benefactor!”
The next mont, however, she saw a lively and cheerful girl, like a little sun, appear by Kiera’s side.
