Chapter 552: Chapter 551
Matthew Olsen turned his head to the side, dabbing the corners of his moist eyes.
Keira Olsen didn’t rush him, waiting patiently for him to calm down.
In fact, Keira Olsen suspected that Matthew Olsen was related to her sister, not just from a photograph she hadn’t seen for many years…
It was because after she woke up using her sister’s identity, not only did she not go into shock, but there were no symptoms of anemia either. This indicated that soone had administered iron to her while she was unconscious.
And the only person who could have done so was Matthew Olsen.
A stranger wouldn’t understand her condition well enough to do it so perfectly.
At first, it was just a suspicion, until last ti, when she seed to have caught a glimpse of Matthew Olsen’s figure at Clance Hospital. After having soone investigate, she discovered that Matthew Olsen was in fact a doctor at that hospital and had been on an external assignnt in Oceanion for the past few years.
Considering all of this, Keira Olsen had made her conjecture.
It was unclear how much ti had passed before Matthew Olsen finally regained his composure.
He let out a slow sigh, “What exactly is going on with the South Family, I really don’t know. I’m an orphan who grew up in an orphanage. The director told that only by working hard and becoming outstanding would I have a family, so I’ve always been diligent. I beca the smartest kid in that orphanage, until one day, a luxury car ca, and took away.
I thought I was going to enter a happy family, but to my surprise, I was sent overseas to a school. They had study a lot of things until I turned fourteen, then sent back to the country, to your sister’s side. They told that my life’s duty was to secure your sister’s safety, to be her Guardian. Your sister was my master.
At that ti, she must have been around seven or eight years old, very cute and obedient… She treated like a big brother, never as a subordinate…”
Matthew Olsen’s tone beca exceptionally tender when he ntioned his sister, Keera.
There was a look of nostalgia and affection in his eyes; it was evident that he truly loved his sister.
Keira Olsen felt a bit dazed for a mont.
Her sister was indeed a gentle and kind girl, and it seed that most of the n around her liked her a lot.
Like Matias Gill…
Such a woman, surely there were not many who wouldn’t like her, right?
Keira Olsen looked at Matthew Olsen, “What happened next?”
Matthew Olsen slowly said, “Your sister only wanted to keep a low profile, wanted to be abandoned by the South Family, so when the second task from the South Family ca, she chose to give up on it imdiately. Mary Davis and Ellis Olsen never got together, so she chose such a husband.”
Keira Olsen was confused, “The second task?”
“Yes, the first task was to beco good friends with Mary Davis. This was arranged when they sent her to the sa kindergarten as a child. She was young at the ti, and her parents just told her to play with Mary, so she did, not thinking much of it. But as she grew up, she realized she didn’t want to exploit her relationship with Mary and took the opportunity to fall out with her, gradually fading out of your lives…”
Matthew Olsen gave a bitter smile, “She was such a kind girl, not wanting to hinder or burden anyone, so she took on everything herself. Including that ti on the sea, she chose to save you and gave up on herself.”
Keira Olsen’s eyes gradually moistened.
Her relationship with this sister, whom she t for the first ti only to part through life and death, wasn’t actually that close. The reason she had impersonated her was half out of duty and half to save her mother, Jodie South.
But at this mont, listening to Matthew Olsen’s words, the figure of her sister seed to co to life before her eyes.
She’s timid and cowardly, yet she can give up the mission assigned by the South Family for the sake of a friend…
She’s frightened and panicked, yet she can send her only Guardian, the one who would never betray her to protect herself and Jodie South…
How can this foolish girl be so naive?
Keira Olsen clenched her fists.
Matthew Olsen continued, “Speaking of which, after your sister found out about her origins, she chose to beco a discarded chess piece to protect you, fearing that the South Family would discover you… After she was abandoned, I was essentially exiled too, spending my life only as an ordinary doctor, guarding by her side. But yet, to protect you and the lady, she sent to Oceanion…”
His gaze dropped, “Since childhood, I was educated to obey the young master’s orders, so even though I knew that the request was unreasonable and that it would only hurt the young master herself, I still had to comply.”
“I went to Oceanion and t you. I thought you were as gentle and lovely as your sister, but while your sister is like a Rabbit, docile and calm, you are like a cat, always flashing your sharp claws, you and your sister are completely different people.”
His description was very fitting.
But that was not what Keira Olsen wanted to hear.
She asked directly, “So, what exactly is going on with the South Family? What do they do? Why do they do this? What is my sister to the South Family? And what’s with this ‘Rabbit’ codena?”
Seeing her so anxious, Matthew Olsen sighed, “Actually, I don’t know.”
Keira Olsen was startled, “What?”
Matthew Olsen gave a wry smile, “I am just an orphan, how could I have access to the South Family’s higher-ups? So, I don’t know what’s the matter. All I know is that I receive orders from above, and my task is to ensure that your sister’s identity remains concealed, and to assist her in completing the mission diligently until finally, recognized by the South Family, I can go ho.”
Keira Olsen caught a particular word, “Go back? Go ho?”
“Indeed, go ho.” Matthew Olsen looked at her, “Whether it’s , your sister, or even you, don’t you think we’re all like orphans stranded outside? Unable to return to the ho we have. The South Family is our ho. We can only go back ho after we fulfill the mission.”
Keira Olsen furrowed her brows, “Who’s your imdiate superior?”
“I don’t know them,” Matthew Olsen continued, “I only receive instructions for missions periodically.”
Keira Olsen scoffed, “So you’ve never been back to the South Family? Don’t know where it actually is?”
“Correct.”
Matthew Olsen’s answer was crisp, “Your sister has never gone back either. She’s always longing to return ho. So, can you help her complete the mission? Marry Scott Martin, even if it’s a sham marriage, just get through the current obstacle first. If the marriage is fake, I believe Mr. Horton will understand you!”
“Marriage is sacred and should not be used for transactions.”
Keira Olsen stated indifferently, then turned to him, “However, Musheng, I’m curious, since you don’t know the South Family and don’t recognize them, then why do you have a video of the South Family threatening my mother?!”
With those words, Matthew Olsen’s pupils shrank.
Keira Olsen stepped forward, staring at him intently, “Can you tell , what’s the reason for this? Where did you get the video from? And the photos?”
Matthew Olsen looked at her.
Keira Olsen then took a step back, “So, from what you’ve just said, I only believe half of it. You must know what the South Family is up to; you must know where they are! Work with , let’s rescue my mother, and I will join you in avenging my sister! I believe if my sister were here, she wouldn’t just watch my mom falling into their hands… So, tell , where exactly is the South Family?!”
