Chapter 439: Chapter 438 Chapter 439: Chapter 438 As soon as the words were spoken, everyone looked toward Ellis Olsen.
The reporters imdiately asked:
“Yeah, Young Master Olsen, we ca here today for this matter, so stop promoting your family business!”
“Master Olsen, are you infertile?”
“Is Miss Davis’s child yours?”
Each question tightened Ellis’s jaw as he looked towards Mary Davis.
After a mont, he finally spoke, “Yes, the result of my dical exam confird infertility, but I’ve been receiving treatnt recently. As for the child… of course, it’s mine. My wife and I have always been in love; please don’t believe the rumors.”
After finishing his statent, he walked over to Mary and grabbed her arm.
Mary looked at him.
After a mont, she pursed her lips and walked with him in front of the reporters.
Mary knew that, as Ellis Olsen’s wife, she should present a united front publicly, always looking perfect.
She had seen wealthy couples manage their public appearance like this throughout her life.
No matter how intense the argunts at ho, they always appeared close and loving in public.
Just like her great-uncle Ken Davis, who also had affairs, even her great-aunt did; they reached the point of nearly physically fighting at ho.
But when they heard reporters were coming, they would instantly transform into a loving couple.
This was their basic training.
Mary approached the reporters with a fitting smile alongside Ellis.
Ellis turned to her, bent down, and touched her head, “My wife and I get along very well, not like the rumors suggest. I hope everyone avoids spreading misinformation and doesn’t focus too much on our personal lives. Our focus should be on company strategies.”
This statent made the reporters look at him skeptically.
Soone directly said, “Young Master Olsen, you’re infertile, so how could the child be yours?”
“So ti ago, we heard there was a scandal involving Miss Mary. Are you truly in love?”
Ellis casually replied, “Truly in love, the scandal is just fabricated. I believe you all heard Mr. Gill clear up the matter.”
Unable to get more information from him, soone turned their questions towards Mary:
“Miss Mary, do you truly like Young Master Olsen? Is your marriage a strategic alliance? We know that these wealthy families have their issues… you married him for your family, right?”
Ellis’s eyebrows furrowed, about to speak, but Mary cut him off, “I married him, it was an alliance.”
The reporters were stunned.
Everyone looked astonished at Mary.
Ellis’s face darkened.
But just when everybody thought they had caught their slip, Mary spoke again: “But also because I love him.”
Everyone paused.
Ellis was also taken aback.
They all stared at Mary, who now wore a smile.
That smile, for so reason, seed a bit sad. She slowly looked toward the reporters below and then back to Ellis, and continued, “I’ve loved him since I was 18.”
“I rember that sumr, when I was impulsive and angered so people I shouldn’t have. That day after school, when they cornered in the alley wanting to beat , Ellis Olsen stepped in front of .”
Back then, Ellis had a lollipop in his mouth, leaning lazily there with a ga console in his hand, looking at those gang girls and spoke slowly, “You’re too noisy, all of you shut up.”
Then he casually glanced over them and calmly stated, “Don’t make hit you.”
He leaned against the wall as the sunset light from afar bathed him in a warm glow.
Even now, Ellis’s image was deeply entrenched in Mary’s mory.
Mary earnestly continued, “From that day, that bold and reckless boy, who seed like a little devil in others’ eyes, lived in my heart.”
“I know everyone misunderstands him, thinking he is the troubleso Young Master of the Olsen family, but in my heart, he’s always been that brave young man.”
“Over the years, Ellis really hasn’t changed.”
Mary didn’t look at Ellis as she spoke, but her words left him slightly stunned.
Ellis stared at Mary, unable to recall the incident she ntioned, and didn’t even rember having such a past.
He had indeed been audacious as a child and spoke up against injustices.
Right then, Mary’s deanor gave him an illusion.
He felt that Mary loved him.
This illusion excited him.
It even made him feel like he could forgive her for having another man’s child…
As these thoughts went through Ellis’s mind, the reporters began speaking, “Miss Davis, you don’t have to make up a love story here. We all know about you and Young Master Olsen; it’s just a shotgun wedding! But the dical report for Young Master Olsen said he was infertile long ago, so Miss Davis, is the child in your belly really his?”
Mary looked back at Ellis upon hearing this, then suddenly smiled, “It is his.”
Ellis clenched his jaw and didn’t respond.
Reporters instantly challenged her:
“How could it be his?”
“It’s clearly written in the dical report that he is infertile, Miss Davis, are you lying without checking the report?”
“Miss Davis, there are rumors that you’ve dated many n before, is that true or false?”
“Young Master Olsen, are you really tolerating this? Or are you acknowledging the child for the sake of the Olsen family’s reputation? Are you really going to raise soone else’s child?”
As Ellis listened to these accusations, his face darkened, about to say sothing, when Mary spoke out, “I have a way to prove this child is Young Master’s.”
Ellis was shocked, suddenly having a bad feeling.
Right then, he indeed heard her next sentence, “I never knew why between husband and wife we need to prove whose child it is. But now that everyone is doubting and questioning, I am willing to undergo a paternity test publicly!”
This statent caused an uproar at the scene.
Wayne Davis instinctively shouted, “Mary, are you crazy?! With your situation, how could you do a paternity test?”
After shouting this, the reporters pounced on it:
“Why can’t you do it?”
“Is it because the child isn’t Ellis Olsen’s?”
Mary looked at them coldly, then turned to Ellis, “Let’s go to the hospital now.”
