Chapter 255: Chapter 255 Chapter 255: Chapter 255 Uncle Olsen’s gaze swept over her before settling back on the ice coffin.

He hesitated as he scrutinized Keira Olsen, slightly furrowing his brows.

Keira Olsen, unaware of his identity, inquired, “Handso Uncle, what’s wrong?”

Uncle Olsen’s brows furrowed deeper.

They had initially agreed to dine together, but then Jodie South arrived, followed by the news that her daughter had been kidnapped out at sea.

He imdiately organized everyone he could mobilize in Oceanion, even summoning people from Clance, to trawl the ocean, and they eventually pulled up a bloated corpse.

After the body was retrieved, the facial swelling was so severe that the original appearance could no longer be discerned.

Jodie South took one look and said it wasn’t her daughter.

But the police imdiately conducted a DNA comparison and confird the victim’s identity.

The mont Jodie South learned the truth, she fainted and hadn’t woken up since.

Taylor Olsen, that old fox, stayed by Jodie South’s side the entire ti.

He was here today to represent Jodie South, to see her daughter off on her last journey.

You couldn’t let a person be buried without a single relative by their side.

But he never expected to run into that close friend of different generations here.

He looked back to Mrs. Horton, “You know Mrs. Horton…?”

Keira Olsen pursed her lips and lied while looking down, “Yes, we were high school classmates.”

Uncle Olsen nodded his head and then apologized, “I’m sorry, that day I didn’t an to break our appointnt, sothing ca up and I had to leave early…”

Only then did Keira Olsen rember they had missed their al with Uncle Olsen that day.

Her throat tightened, and she waved her hand, “I happened to have sothing co up that day too.”

A matter of life and death.

Seeing the pain flash through her eyes, Uncle Olsen asked, “You know Mrs. Horton, so do you know her mother, Mrs. Olsen?”

Keira Olsen paused, “What happened?”

Uncle Olsen lowered his gaze and sighed silently, “I heard she’s not doing well. Since you’re Mrs. Horton’s classmate, you might visit her if you get a chance.”

On hearing this, Keira Olsen grew anxious, “Mrs. Olsen is not doing well?”

Uncle Olsen nodded.

Keira Olsen imdiately said, “I’ll go see her right now!”

As she turned to leave, Howard grabbed her arm, “Keera, where did you just go? Don’t wander off in a place like the Horton’s!”

Keira Olsen frowned and, after a mont of thought, replied, “I heard that Mrs. Horton’s mother, Mrs. Olsen, isn’t faring well. I’m planning to visit her.”

Howard’s eyes lit up on hearing this, “You’ve finally learned to network? I heard Mr. Horton is deeply devoted to Mrs. Horton, so if you can cozy up to Mrs. Olsen, that would be very beneficial for our company in the future!”

But then he hesitated, “But I’m not done here yet…”

Everyone who ca to offer condolences at the Horton’s was a major player in their respective industries; he had already t quite a few people, and he was too reluctant to leave just yet.

Keira Olsen imdiately said, “You stay here, I’ll go alone, and we’ll et up at the hotel tonight.”

“Okay.”

Keira Olsen left the room.

Just as Howard was about to socialize with the others, he heard a voice, “Is this your wife?”

Howard looked toward Uncle Olsen, noted his distinguished manner, and replied with a beaming smile, “Yes, my wife Keera, is Mrs. Horton’s high school classmate. They’re very close, so as soon as she heard the news about Mrs. Horton, she imdiately rushed over. Ah!”

Uncle Olsen was taken aback, his keen senses catching on to sothing, “Your wife’s last na is South?”

Howard was startled, “Right!”

Uncle Olsen frowned, “That surna is not common.”

“Indeed, it’s quite rare…”

Suddenly, Uncle Olsen asked again, “Her last na is South because her father’s last na is South?”

Howard imdiately furrowed his eyebrows, afraid to slip up, “Who are you? Why are you prying into other people’s privacy?”

Uncle Olsen paused, then reached out his hand, “Olsen.”

Howard was confused for a mont, then ecstatic, “You are Uncle Olsen?! I’m so blind that I didn’t recognize you!”

Kiera Olsen stepped out the door, donning a face mask as she walked outside.

But once outside, she discovered that there were too many cars lined up, with many people coming to offer their condolences, all harboring the sa intention as Howard, wanting to network more and so moving slowly.

This caused the departure route to be very clear, but the entrance was completely blocked. Even if she ordered a ridesharing car online now, it probably couldn’t squeeze in.

Kiera Olsen was feeling anxious.

Just then, she saw a car approaching the entrance, poised to make a turn and exit.

The car stood out among the crowd, Samuel Morgan’s flashy yellow sports car!

Kiera Olsen went straight to it, just as Samuel Morgan was on the phone.

His eyes were red and swollen, seemingly having cried for a long ti.

He was still crying as he spoke on the phone:

“Our boss is dead, I’ve got no mood for etings! Cancel cancel cancel! I know this docunt is very important, but today is the day of the boss’s funeral, and I must see her off on her last journey! Postpone all etings for !”

Samuel Morgan rubbed his eyes, glanced at the cars in front of him, and imdiately cursed, “These damned people, just coming here to count the numbers, how many of them are actually here to mourn our boss sincerely?! Blocking the road and preventing from passing, it’s so infuriating!”

He opened the door of his sports car and got out.

Then he looked angrily at Tom Davis, “What are you all doing? Why let just anyone in?! With so many people here, how many are truly heartfelt for the boss!”

Tom Davis sighed, “Listen to what you’re saying. Forget it, I know you’re upset, I won’t hold it against you today!”

Samuel Morgan wanted to say more, but Kiera Olsen was already sitting in the driver’s seat, she stepped on the accelerator, turned the vehicle around, and imdiately changed the sports car’s direction from entering the Horton residence to leaving it.

Hearing the sound of the car, Samuel Morgan imdiately rushed over but could only sit in the passenger seat.

He roared, “Who the hell are you, daring to steal my sports car?!”

Kiera Olsen ignored his angry shouting and directly drove towards the hospital.

Sitting in the passenger seat, Samuel Morgan was overwheld with grief. He cried and cursed, “Why am I so unlucky, not enough that the boss is dead but also to have my beloved sports car stolen in broad daylight?”

“You car thief, park the car on the side of the road this instant. I’m not in a good mood today, I might let you off…”

“Wuwuwu, my poor boss, why did you have to go like this! Damn car thief, I’m trying to see off my boss on her last journey, can’t you pick another car to steal? Don’t you have any conscience? Among all these people, only I am truly here to mourn, how can you steal my car?!”

Kiera Olsen: “…Shut up!”

Hearing this familiar voice, Samuel Morgan subconsciously clamped his mouth shut, but the next mont, sothing clicked, and he started crying even harder, “Your voice, it sounds so much like my boss! If my boss was still alive, I’d never let her be upset again, I’d ensure she’d rest easy…”

“…”

Unable to stand his noise any longer, Kiera Olsen silently removed her mask and looked at him.

anwhile, Lewis Horton was searching for that familiar figure at the funeral, frantically looking around, when suddenly he heard Samuel Morgan’s voice coming from the line of cars and looked over.
