"Tomorrow's Sunday!!!"
Ling Ning walked down the road on her way ho, unable to resist shouting out in excitent. After all, attending classes for half a month straight would drive anyone crazy. And thinking about how the second half of the sester might not even have Sundays off—it was unbearable. Not being able to go to her part-ti job and earn so money was like sentencing her to a slow death.
"Uh... Ling Ning, are you going to the café tomorrow?" Xia You asked cautiously as she looked at Ling Ning.
"Tomorrow? Hmm, I think I'll be going for a photoshoot."
Earlier that day, He Miaomiao had called Ling Ning, telling her there was a gig she could take on this Sunday, with pretty decent pay. Naturally, Ling Ning agreed right away.
"Oh~ Where at?"
"Well~ I heard it's sowhere around Central Park, an outdoor shoot or sothing. I'm not really sure. I'll find out when I get there," Ling Ning said with a slight smile.
"Can I co too?" Xia You's eyes lit up.
"Huh? Aren't you supposed to go to the café?"
"Um... well..." Xia You stamred, then added haltingly, "I... I just want to see how you work as a model..." She then put on a pitiful expression and added, "Is that... not okay?"
Ling Ning suddenly felt overwheld by Xia You's adorableness, her face softening imdiately. After snapping out of it, she forced an awkward laugh. "Well, if you want to go, I can give you a call tomorrow, and you can co along." Deep down, Ling Ning felt an inexplicable sense of embarrassnt at the thought of posing for photos in front of soone she knew.
"Really... can I?" Xia You looked at Ling Ning with hopeful eyes.
Ling Ning patted her chest confidently and said, "I'll just tell them you're my friend, here to watch work. Plus, it's in Central Park, so you should be able to see everything just by coming by."
Ling Ning's patting of her chest caught Xia You's attention. Xia You hadn't expected that Ling Ning's chest would actually bounce a bit. She glanced down at her own chest—no matter how much she jumped, hers wouldn't move like that. Why were people so different?
"What's wrong?" Ling Ning asked, puzzled by Xia You's sudden dazed expression.
Xia You shook her head, quickly regaining her composure. "So, it's a date then. I'll co find you tomorrow."
"Okay."

That evening, Ling Ning opened her computer, enjoying a mont of peace as she glanced at her steadily increasing subscriptions, favorites, and tips. At this rate, earning several thousand yuan a month wasn't out of reach; maybe even tens of thousands was possible.
She silently closed the author dashboard and began typing. Her enthusiasm for writing was at an all-ti high lately, her imagination running wild, making her writing flow almost effortlessly.
Just then, Ling Ye bounced into Ling Ning's lap, holding a dry towel. She looked curiously at the computer screen. Ling Ye knew her Mom was writing a novel, but she had never actually seen it.
When she noticed her daughter coming over, Ling Ning instinctively minimized the window.
"Eh~ Why won't you let see?" Ling Ye pouted, her face full of dissatisfaction.
"Well~" Ling Ning thought while gently drying her daughter's hair. She couldn't just admit it was too embarrassing to let her daughter read her novel—where would her dignity as a mom go?
"Mom, just let Ye Ye see a little, please~"
Ling Ye squird around in Ling Ning's lap, clearly just trying to take advantage of the situation to ss around.
With her daughter squirming like that, Ling Ning couldn't properly dry her hair. Giving in, she put down the towel, then wrapped her arms around her daughter's small waist, resting her chin on her shoulder.
"Ye Ye, don't be so stubborn. If it was sothing I could show you, I would, wouldn’t I?"
"Mm~" With her Mom saying that, Ling Ye couldn't argue any further. After all, the computer was still there—she could always sneak a look when her Mom wasn't around.
Ling Ning had no idea about her daughter's sneaky thoughts. She gently dried Ling Ye's hair, then put down the towel and went to the bathroom for a shower.
Opportunity knocked sooner than expected. The mont Ling Ning went to take a shower, Ling Ye dashed over to the computer. However, Ling Ning had closed all the windows, leaving nothing but a clean desktop for her daughter to see.
But that didn’t faze Ling Ye. She knew exactly where her mom stored her novel files. With a few casual clicks of the mouse, she found the folder.
Seeing the long list of Word docunts, Ling Ye couldn't help but admire her mother. She had written so much! Ling Ye opened one of the chapters and imdiately saw lines and lines of text. Realizing it would be a huge task to read it all, she decided to save it for another ti. It would take quite a while to finish all of that.
She quickly closed the window and dashed back to the living room to watch TV, not wanting her mom to catch her sneaking around.
When Ling Ning ca out after her shower, she saw her daughter watching TV and sat back down at her computer to resu her writing.
After a while, Ling Ye ran over and tugged at Ling Ning's arm. "Mom, Mom~ Stop writing and co watch TV with Ye Ye~"
"Uh... alright."
After finishing the last sentence, Ling Ning quietly closed her laptop, then snuggled up with her daughter on the couch. The show Ling Ye was watching was one of those chaotic programs where celebrities competed in silly gas. To Ling Ning, it was ridiculously childish, but Ling Ye seed completely engrossed.
Ling Ning realized that holding her daughter felt so good—soft, warm, with a faint fragrance. It made her want to keep hugging her, never letting go.
After a while, she noticed her daughter yawning several tis. Gently patting Ling Ye's head, Ling Ning whispered, "Ye Ye, it's ti for bed."
Ling Ye rubbed her eyes, then turned and hugged her mom, her voice muffled as she said, "I want to sleep with Mom~"
Ling Ning's eyes lit up at those words. She nodded happily, "Of course~"

"There's nothing better than sleeping with my daughter." Ling Ning lay in bed, hugging her daughter, savoring the familiar but long-forgotten feeling. It had been too long since they had slept together like this.
"Nothing's better than being in Mom's arms." Ling Ye nestled close, breathing in her mom's scent. It was such a comforting feeling—one she had missed for so long.
