"Ye Xuan, what exactly is so special about my legs?"
Ling Ning lay sprawled on the couch, her voice tinged with exasperation.
Every ti she visited Ye Xuan’s dorm, Ye Xuan’s gaze inevitably landed on her long legs. To Ling Ning, they weren’t anything extraordinary—so why did Ye Xuan always seem so fixated?
"They’re a rare treasure."
Ye Xuan’s answer was succinct as her attention remained focused on Ling Ning’s legs. Though they were covered by sheer stockings rather than bare, that only seed to heighten Ye Xuan’s fascination.
For her, Ling Ning’s legs were unparalleled. She had seen others’ legs before, but none gave her the sa feeling. It was as if she had fallen in love at first sight with Ling Ning’s legs—a strange notion, but an undeniable truth.
"Really? That’s what it is?" Ling Ning blinked, feeling as if she had just escaped one predator only to fall into another’s den.
Still, at least Ye Xuan’s interest seed limited to her legs.
As this thought crossed her mind, Ling Ning suddenly felt a hand slip under her skirt. Sighing, she grabbed the offending hand and pulled it out, saying, "Didn’t we agree—no going further?"
"Oops, my bad. Just a slip of the hand. Don’t worry about it," Ye Xuan replied calmly, as though nothing had happened.
Ling Ning could only sigh at Ye Xuan’s shalessness. While she still kept her guard up, Ye Xuan’s persistence was wearing her down. According to the "study materials" Ye Xuan had apparently consulted, she was already in the final stages. A little more patience, and her goal would surely be achieved.
A subtle smile crept across Ye Xuan’s lips as her mind wandered.
Seemingly aware of her thoughts, Ling Ning said, "Ye Xuan, can we at least agree to keep things less... provocative in public?"
Her mind flashed back to the incident in the elevator earlier, leaving her with a lingering sense of discomfort.
"Why? Didn’t you enjoy it too?"
"Enjoy? ? Absolutely not! What if soone had noticed?!"
"Then we’d just tell them you’re my girlfriend. What’s so strange about touching my girlfriend’s legs?" Ye Xuan said matter-of-factly.
Ling Ning found herself at a loss for words. After a mont, she sighed and continued, "Listen, in public, it’s a no. But if we’re sowhere private, where no one else can see, then fine—you can touch them all you want. Isn’t that a better idea?"
"Speaking of which, do you have a girlfriend? Or maybe a boyfriend?" Ye Xuan’s question seed casual, but Ling Ning froze.
She hesitated, glancing at Ye Xuan as uncertainty clouded her thoughts. Should she tell the truth or not? It was an agonizing decision.
Before she could respond, Ye Xuan added, "It doesn’t matter to either way. In the end, you’ll still be by my side."
"What?!"
Ling Ning blinked, stunned. Was this Ye Xuan’s way of confessing?
"I’m not letting anyone else have you."
Though her tone was as calm as ever, her words carried an undeniable determination. Ling Ning sighed and asked, "What is it about that you’re so fixated on, Ye Xuan?"
"Do I need a reason to like soone? As long as you’re not married, I’ll keep competing. But if you choose soone else in the end, I’ll step aside," Ye Xuan replied simply.
Ling Ning sighed deeply, her emotions a complicated mix. "I’m really not worth it."
"That’s for to decide."
"Fine, do whatever you want. But can you at least not slip your hand under my skirt while we’re talking?"

"Ugh, this is so frustrating."
Ling Ning sat in the classroom, staring blankly at her desk even though class had ended. Her mind was in complete disarray, unable to focus on anything.
Sitting beside her, Xia You noticed her unusual behavior and asked, "Ling Ning, is sothing wrong?"
"Nothing. I just watched a love polygon movie earlier. The tangled relationships are stuck in my head."
Xia You frowned slightly. Ever since Ling Ning had returned from helping Bai Jie, she’d been acting strange. Had sothing happened during that ti?
As Xia You pondered, Ling Ning suddenly leaned over and kissed her, covering her lips with her own.
Xia You’s eyes widened in shock. Ling Ning rarely initiated anything, so what could have prompted this? Besides, there were still other students in the classroom!
After a long mont, Ling Ning pulled back with a heavy sigh and grabbed Xia You’s hand. Without saying a word, she led her out of the classroom, leaving their stunned classmates behind.
As they exited, Ling Ning muttered to herself, "At most, there’ll just be rumors tomorrow about being a lesbian. Whatever."
Not long after, they ran into Su Ya heading in their direction.
When Xia You spotted Su Ya, her expression didn’t change, but her gaze grew colder. Her dissatisfaction was clear.
Su Ya’s expression shifted as well when she noticed Xia You holding Ling Ning’s hand. A polite smile replaced her usual deanor.
"Hey, Xiao Ya, were you looking for ?"
"Yes, I was. Are you free right now?"
"I..."
Ling Ning hesitated, glancing between Su Ya and Xia You. The atmosphere grew tense.
Noticing her discomfort, Su Ya sighed softly and said, "Never mind. It’s not urgent. I’ll just ssage you later."
Watching Su Ya walk away, Ling Ning let out a long sigh. She really needed ti to sort out her feelings. At this rate, things couldn’t continue. She owed herself—and everyone around her—a mont to pause and reflect.
But for now, she didn’t have the luxury. Maybe after finishing her current work commitnts, she’d take a step back and reevaluate.
