“Ah~ I’m so bored.”

Bai Yiyue lay on her bed, rolling back and forth in her pajamas, resembling a salted fish that had lost all its dreams. Stuck at ho with nothing to do, she sighed inwardly. If only Ling Ning were here with her, it wouldn’t be so bad. But being alone with her mom at ho felt unbearably dull.

Sure, she could go on a trip, but without Ling Ning to accompany her, staying ho felt much more comfortable.

Why couldn’t the heavens just gift her a Ling Ning?

As Bai Yiyue’s mind drifted into wishful thinking, the doorbell rang. Blinking, she didn’t get up, assuming it was probably just her manager.

A mont later, there was a knock at her door, followed by a voice she had been longing to hear.

“Xiao Bai, are you up yet?”

“I’m up! I’ll open the door right away!”

Bai Yiyue leapt out of bed without a second thought, not even bothering to tidy her clothes. She ran to the door, flinging it open. Upon seeing Ling Ning, she wrapped her arms around her in a big hug without hesitation.

Ling Ning frowned in mild disgust. “Let go of already. If you’re awake, go wash up!”

“Oh.”

Reluctantly, Bai Yiyue released her, taking a good, long look at Ling Ning to ensure she wasn’t dreaming. Satisfied that this was real, she skipped off to the bathroom to freshen up.

After Bai Yiyue left, Ling Ning walked into the room. Surveying the ssy bed, the scattered magazines, and clothes tossed haphazardly on the floor, she sighed and bent down to start tidying up.

She wondered what Bai Yiyue’s fans would think if they knew what a ss she was in her daily life.

A while later, Bai Yiyue returned to her room after washing up, only to find it transford. Her bed was neatly made, the magazines stacked tidily on the shelves, and her discarded clothes had disappeared.

The entire room looked immaculate.

At that mont, Ling Ning pushed open the door and entered. Seeing Bai Yiyue, now freshened up, she said, “Xiao Bai, I’ve got to say, at the very least, you should maintain basic hygiene.”

“Who cares? No one’s going to see it anyway~”

“Aren’t I soone?”

“I’d be happy for Ling Ning to see it! If Ling Ning sees it, she’ll help clean it up~ That’s why Ling Ning is the best~”

Grinning, Bai Yiyue latched onto Ling Ning’s arm again. Ling Ning could imdiately tell from the soft sensation that Bai Yiyue wasn’t wearing a bra.

With a resigned sigh, Ling Ning firmly pushed Bai Yiyue away and said flatly, “Even if you’re at ho, could you at least pay so attention to your appearance?”

Bai Yiyue, fully understanding the implication, smiled mischievously. “It’s fine. If it’s Ling Ning, I wouldn’t resist even if you confronted directly.”

“Who would do such a thing? Hurry up and eat breakfast.”

Rolling her eyes, Ling Ning turned and left the room.

anwhile, Bai Jie was sitting in the living room. Though her eyes were fixed on the television, her vacant expression betrayed the fact that her mind was elsewhere.

She soon noticed soone sitting down beside her. Turning her head, she saw that Ling Ning had sohow appeared without her noticing and was now silently watching the TV.

Sensing her gaze, Ling Ning turned her head slightly and asked, “Sister, is sothing on your mind?”

“No... Nothing at all.”

“Hmm?”

Ling Ning blinked, feeling that sothing seed off about Bai Jie. Normally, when she visited, Bai Jie would eagerly strike up a conversation. But today, she was unusually quiet, almost as if she were preoccupied.

“Sister, do you have sothing on your mind?”

“Why would you ask that?”

“Because it’s written all over your face.” Ling Ning’s matter-of-fact tone left no room for denial.

Bai Jie raised a hand to touch her face. Was it really that obvious?

“If you’re troubled by sothing, you can tell .”

“If it cos to that, I will.”

With that, Bai Jie turned her attention back to the television. She wanted to focus on it, but the faint scent emanating from Ling Ning kept disrupting her thoughts, making it impossible to concentrate.

Perhaps it was the pleasant weather, or maybe the warmth of the indoor heating, but Ling Ning soon began to feel a bit warm. Rising to her feet, she removed her jacket, leaving only a snug, form-fitting top that perfectly outlined her graceful figure.

This only made Bai Jie’s distraction worse.

Just then, Bai Yiyue ca over, having finished her breakfast. Upon seeing Ling Ning, she unceremoniously squeezed herself into the seat next to her.

“There’s an open seat right there.”

“Nope, I want to sit with Ling Ning.”

Since the previous incident ca to light, Bai Yiyue had had a serious conversation with her mother, who told her to do as she pleased. Emboldened, Bai Yiyue had beco much more brazen, openly displaying her affection for Ling Ning even in front of her mom.

Ling Ning sighed helplessly and shifted slightly closer to Bai Jie to make room.

This movent brought half of Ling Ning’s body into contact with Bai Jie, whose entire fra stiffened instantly. She glanced at Ling Ning, now so close that if she leaned just a little further...

But before she could act on any impulse, Bai Jie abruptly stood up. “I’m going to the bathroom,” she announced.

Once inside, she turned on the faucet and splashed her face with cold water.

The shock of the cold water brought her so clarity. Staring at her reflection in the mirror, Bai Jie let out a deep sigh. How had it co to this?

Why was her mind constantly filled with thoughts she knew she shouldn’t have?
