“My dear sister, did you throw the bla on again yesterday!?”

Li ng squinted at her older sister, Li Qian. Yesterday, she had been pestered by the class president all day, who had mistaken her for Li Qian. No matter what she said, he wouldn’t listen. Li ng was beyond frustrated.

For soone so stubborn, she didn’t even know what to say anymore. anwhile, her sister had apparently gone to et Ling Ning instead. Sneaking off like that—too sly!

“I didn’t do anything. He must have mistaken you for .”

Li Qian glanced sideways, trying to feign innocence. But as Li Qian’s twin sister, Li ng could easily tell when she was lying.

“Hmph~”

While the sisters were bickering, the class president appeared once again. Staring at the almost identical twins, he was just as confused as ever. Even though they were wearing different outfits, he couldn’t tell them apart.

As soon as the class president approached, the twins simultaneously pointed at each other and said in unison, “She’s Li Qian!”

“Eh!?”

The class president stood frozen, unsure of what to do. Their classmates, who were watching, were equally dumbfounded. Despite being in the sa class for so long, they still couldn’t tell the twins apart.

This kind of situation was undeniably a headache. Even if soone wanted to pursue them, they wouldn’t know where to start. Not everyone was as thick-skinned as the class president.

After all, confessing to the wrong person was a pretty awkward situation.

So had even entertained the idea of pursuing both sisters at once, but despite their similarities, the twins’ relationship was far from harmonious. Still, many classmates fantasized about it—after all, twin sisters? Heh heh heh.

Just as the class president was floundering, a familiar voice chid in, “Hey, you two, going out for lunch?”

Hearing the voice, the twins once again spoke in unison, “Ling Ning, what are you doing here~?”

“Because I missed you two~” Ling Ning replied with a playful smile.

The truth was, Bai Jie had asked her to move so items to this side of campus. While heading back for lunch, she rembered that Li Qian and Li ng’s classroom was nearby. Harboring hopes for a “free lunch,” she decided to stop by—and to her delight, they were still there. Lucky!

Most of their classmates recognized Ling Ning imdiately. She was a morable figure, thanks in part to the popular posts about her on the school’s news forum. But no one had expected her to have such a close relationship with their class’s twin beauties.

Ignoring the dazed class president, Ling Ning walked up to the twins with a smile. “It’s already this late—aren’t you two hungry? Don’t you want to grab sothing to eat?”

Li Qian rolled her eyes. “Let guess—you’re here to get to treat you to lunch, aren’t you?”

“Ehehe~”

Li ng shot her sister a glance, then casually walked over to Ling Ning and wrapped her arms around hers. Smiling sweetly, she said, “Ling Ning, if my sister doesn’t treat you, I will. Let’s go eat beef, okay?”

At the ntion of beef, Ling Ning’s eyes glead with interest.

“Hey, I was here first! What are you doing!?”

Seeing her younger sister trying to win over Ling Ning, Li Qian couldn’t sit still. Be reasonable—she had been here first! Whether it was free lunches or casual conversations, why was her sister so good at stealing the spotlight?

Their remaining classmates, still observing, couldn’t help but feel speechless. This scene… Why did it feel like two won fighting over a husband? Wait—no. It was more like two won fighting over a wife.

It was oddly convincing.

Realizing the commotion they were causing in the classroom, Ling Ning coughed lightly. “Why don’t we continue this discussion outside?”

“Mm.” x2

Under the stunned gazes of their classmates, Ling Ning walked out of the classroom—well, more accurately, she was escorted out by the twins. If Ling Ning had been a random guy, he’d probably have been obliterated by death stares.

But as luck would have it, Ling Ning was a beautiful girl. So, as the trio left, they mostly attracted admiring glances.

It wasn’t until the three of them were out of sight that the class president snapped out of his stupor. By the ti he ran out after them, they had already disappeared.

Why did it have to turn out this way!?

“So, what’s for lunch?”

“Beef!”

“Ran!”

Ling Ning sighed, looking at the twins. “Then let’s have beef ran. I know a great spot. Now both of you, keep quiet and follow .”

Seeing Ling Ning’s cheerful yet commanding expression, the twins nodded like obedient chicks pecking at grain. They had learned through experience not to provoke Ling Ning when she entered her “gentle” mode. Things got… scary.

“You wanted beef—it’s only fair you pay.”

“You wanted ran—you should pay!”

Watching the twins bicker yet again, Ling Ning sighed. All she wanted was a free lunch. How had things co to this?

Shaking her head, she pulled out her phone and paid the bill herself. She might as well treat it as eating a triple portion of beef ran.

As she settled the bill, the twins exchanged glances, each with a sly grin. Their unspoken strategy had worked again. They had discovered that starting a petty argunt at als usually resulted in Ling Ning footing the bill.

It was one of the rare monts when the two actually felt in sync.

Clearing her throat, Li Qian suddenly asked, “By the way, Ling Ning, you seem really close to Xiao Ya. We’ve seen you walk her back to her dorm a lot~”

“We’re good friends, so yeah. Why?”

“Oh, nothing. I was just wondering why you never walk back to my dorm~”

Hearing this, Ling Ning rolled her eyes. “Can you not lie through your teeth? Most of the ti when we hang out, I do walk you ho!”

“Eh!?”

Li Qian blinked, thinking it over. Now that she ntioned it… that was true.

“Alright, let’s head back after this. I still have things to take care of later.”
