“Ding-dong~”
Ling Ning stood at Li Qian’s front door, ringing the doorbell. Today was the day she’d promised to accompany Li Qian to her middle school reunion, and to et Li Qian’s expectations, she had woken up early to get ready.
After a while, the door opened slowly, and Li ng appeared, wearing just an oversized T-shirt. Seeing Ling Ning, her sleepy expression cleared up a bit.
“Morning, Ling Ning.”
“Good morning, Xiao ng ng. Judging by your look, don’t tell you just woke up?”
Li ng nodded sheepishly. She had gotten up to use the bathroom and was planning to go back to sleep when the doorbell rang.
Ling Ning stepped into the living room and noticed it was empty.
“Let guess—your sister hasn’t gotten up yet, has she?”
“Nope, she’s still sleeping~”
Li ng said, flashing a mischievous grin. Last night, her sister had been acting strangely, yelling about sothing even when it was past midnight. No wonder she was still asleep now.
Hearing this, Ling Ning’s expression darkened. Li Qian had asked her to co over so early, yet she wasn’t even awake herself. Unacceptable!
“Where are your parents, by the way?”
“They’ve been busy with work lately. After taking Saturday off, they had to go back to the office this weekend,” Li ng replied while sneaking glances at Ling Ning. Now fully awake, she noticed how different Ling Ning looked today.
Her makeup was ticulously done, and she wore a simple yet elegant dress. Even her earrings added a touch of charm, making her look captivatingly beautiful.
“By the way, if you’re looking for my sister’s room, just go straight down the hall. It’s the second door on the right. The first one is mine~”
Li ng said with a smirk before heading to the bathroom to wash up.
“Got it.”
Following Li ng’s directions, Ling Ning found herself at Li Qian’s room. Testing the doorknob, she realized it wasn’t locked.
Upon entering, she was greeted by an icy blast of air—Li Qian had left the AC on all night. There she was, sprawled across the bed, fast asleep. Her blanket was half on the floor, with just a small portion still covering her.
Seeing Li Qian’s carefree sleeping posture, Ling Ning felt her temper flare. She marched over and yanked the blanket off—
—only to quickly throw it back on.
Ling Ning stared, wide-eyed. Li Qian was sleeping in nothing but a pair of translucent panties. That was it! How could she be so bold?
As if sensing sothing, Li Qian stirred, her eyebrows twitching slightly before she slowly opened her eyes. Upon seeing Ling Ning, she blinked twice, as though doubting her own vision. Then, assuming it was a dream, she closed her eyes again, seemingly trying to fall back asleep for clarity.
Watching this entire sequence, Ling Ning didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. Just as she was about to shake her awake, Li Qian’s eyes shot open.
“Ling... Ling Ning?! Why are you in my room?!” Li Qian exclaid, bewildered.
Ling Ning held up her phone, showing the ti on the screen. “What do you think?”
“It’s that late already?!”
Li Qian stared at the ti in disbelief. She could’ve sworn she’d only just closed her eyes, but sohow, she’d overslept. She still felt like going back to bed, but given the circumstances, it seed impossible now.
It was all because of her excitent the night before. The thought of going to the reunion with Ling Ning had kept her brain buzzing until 3 a.m., leaving her utterly drained.
“You know, if you don’t get up soon, you’re going to miss the reunion. Don’t bla if that happens,” Ling Ning said, crossing her arms.
Hearing this, Li Qian threw off her blanket and started to get out of bed—only to pause mid-motion. Realizing her current state, she quickly pulled the blanket back over herself.
Ling Ning raised an eyebrow and teased, “Wow, I didn’t peg you as the type to enjoy sleeping in the nude. That’s quite sothing!”
“There’s no rule saying I can’t sleep like this!” Li Qian huffed indignantly.
“Besides, we’re both girls. Why are you so self-conscious?”
“Even if it’s another girl, it’s still embarrassing to be seen like this!”
Shrugging nonchalantly, Ling Ning turned and left the room, grateful that Li Qian hadn’t noticed she had already pulled the blanket off earlier. And... thank you for the free show.
As Ling Ning erged from the room, she was greeted by Li ng, who had just finished freshening up. “So? Did my sister finally get up?” Li ng asked with a sly smile.
“She’s up now and getting dressed...” Ling Ning began but then paused, an idea popping into her head. “Hey, Xiao ng ng, can I ask you sothing?”
“Sure, what is it?”
“Do you sleep in the nude?”
"Eh!?" After hearing Ling Ning's words, Li ng's smiling expression imdiately froze, and her face turned visibly red at an alarming rate. If this were an ani, you could probably see steam coming out of her due to overheating.
"Na-na-naked?! I would never sleep naked!!!"
Seeing Li ng's reaction, Ling Ning nodded thoughtfully. It seems these two sisters both have the habit of sleeping nude.
As they were talking, Lǐ Qiàn finally ca out of the room. Seeing her sister chatting with Ling Ning, she didn't say anything, but just made a silly face as she passed by, the implication clear.
Seeing her sister's provocation, Li ng almost started fighting with Ling Ning right there.
This little interaction, of course, did not escape Ling Ning's notice. She could only shake her head helplessly—they were grown won, yet sotis they still acted like children.
