“After staying in my hotown for so long, I just wanted to go out and wander around a bit. I haven’t decided where to go yet... but for now, I think I’ll grab sothing to eat first. I haven’t even had breakfast,” Li ng said sheepishly.

Hearing the word “breakfast,” Ling Ning suddenly felt her stomach growling.

“Oh~ That’s perfect! I haven’t eaten breakfast either. Let’s go together~”

“By the way, are there any good breakfast spots around here?” Li ng asked curiously. Since she didn’t often visit this area, she wasn’t familiar with the options.

“A breakfast spot, huh...” Ling Ning squinted as she thought for a mont. Since she’d been coming to this area frequently for work, she was quite familiar with the surroundings. However, she couldn’t think of anything specific off the top of her head.

After a while, she gave up on thinking altogether. As long as they walked down this road, they’d eventually find a place to eat.

“By the way, where’s your sister?”

“She... well, she stayed up all night, so she wasn’t awake when I left. I doubt she’ll get up before noon,” Li ng said nonchalantly.

As if sothing had just occurred to her, Li ng suddenly asked, “How is it that you can always tell my sister and apart at a glance?”

This was a long-standing question for her. She and her sister looked so similar that even their parents sotis mixed them up. She couldn’t understand how Ling Ning always managed to imdiately recognize her as Li ng and not Li Qian.

“Oh, that? I guess it’s just a feeling~”

Ling Ning chuckled lightly. Even she wasn’t entirely sure how to explain it. While Li Qian and Li ng did look and behave remarkably alike, there was sothing about them that gave off a different vibe. But since “feeling” was such an ambiguous thing, she couldn’t articulate it clearly.

“A feeling...?” Li ng muttered softly, then broke into a radiant smile and said, “I knew fighting with my sister over you back then was the right choice~”

“Huh?”

At that mont, Ling Ning was busy checking a ssage her daughter had just sent her and didn’t catch what Li ng had said.

“I said, haven’t we found a breakfast place yet?”

Li ng quickly changed the subject.

Reminded of their breakfast mission, Ling Ning glanced around and spotted a nearby breakfast shop. She’d been there a few tis before, and while the food was decent, it didn’t quite compare to the stead bun shop near her ho.

“So, this is my first ti going out with you alone, Xiao ng ng~” Ling Ning said with a mischievous smile as they waited for their food.

“Eh?!”

Hearing this, Li ng suddenly felt her heart race. Wasn’t this what people called a date? She tried to keep her composure, maintaining an outwardly calm deanor.

“Where are you planning to go after breakfast, Xiao ng ng?”

“X-Xiao ng ng...” The nickna sent shivers down Li ng’s spine. She hated when people used double syllables to call her na, just like her sister.

Taking a deep breath, Li ng chose to ignore the nickna and instead started considering what to do next.

“Is there any good movie showing right now?”

“A movie? My daughter recomnded one to recently. I think it’s called A Mission of a Single Dog. She said it’s pretty good.”

“You an A Dog’s Purpose, right?” Li ng rolled her eyes at Ling Ning, sensing a hint of deliberate mischief in her tone.

Pulling out her phone, Li ng checked the showtis and said, “Alright, let’s go watch a movie. But there are only screenings at 2 PM and 6 PM. After breakfast, we can go shopping until the movie starts.”

“Sure.”

“What do you think of this dress, Ling Ning?”

“It’s okay... but I think this one would suit you better.”

The two of them were now in a clothing store on the shopping street. Li ng had ntioned wanting to buy so clothes and had asked Ling Ning to help her choose. After all, as a model, Ling Ning undoubtedly had a better eye for fashion than she did.

“Really~?”

Li ng glanced doubtfully at the dress in Ling Ning’s hand. On the surface, it didn’t seem all that special.

“Well, you’ll know once you try it on.”

“If you say so...”

Taking the dress, Li ng headed back into the fitting room and changed into the one Ling Ning had chosen for her. Looking at herself in the mirror, she realized that, despite its simplicity, the dress looked much better than the one she had initially picked.

She decided to buy it on the spot. Although it wasn’t exactly cheap for her, she’d saved up during her ti in the countryside and could afford it with a bit of determination.

As Li ng erged from the fitting room, Ling Ning smiled brightly and said, “See? You can always trust my taste~”

“It’s... it’s just okay! If I’d found sothing better, I definitely wouldn’t have bought this one!” Li ng said, her words tinged with a stubborn pride.

Hearing this, Ling Ning could only smile wryly. It seed her personality wasn’t all that different from her sister’s.

“So, where to next? There’s still plenty of ti before the movie starts,” Ling Ning asked after checking the ti.

“Let’s check out the lingerie store.”

Hearing this, Ling Ning instinctively glanced at Li ng’s chest. Though not as ample as her own, it was still a respectable size. So going to a lingerie store... did that an she’d grown again recently?

Noticing Ling Ning’s gaze, Li ng instinctively crossed her arms over her chest, her face turning bright red. “W-What are you looking at?! Don’t you have one too?!”

“Oh, co on. We’re both girls. Why are you so shy?” Ling Ning teased with an eye roll.

“I... I...” Li ng found herself at a loss for words.

Talking about lingerie reminded Ling Ning that her own chest seed to have grown a bit recently. Since Li ng was heading to buy so, it was the perfect opportunity for her to update her collection as well—better to avoid another wardrobe malfunction like last ti.

“Alright, let’s go. I need to buy so too.”
