“Phew~ Finally, I can breathe again!”
Having just removed her sun knight armor, Xia You let out a long sigh of relief. Wearing the armor had been unbearably stifling. Even with air conditioning, the stuffiness had been overwhelming, leaving her clothes soaked with sweat and clinging uncomfortably to her skin.
“Um, Xia You, why don’t you stay in the bathroom for now? I’ll go find you so clothes to change into,” Ling Ning suggested.
Ling Ning couldn’t help but blush as she looked at Xia You, whose sweat-drenched clothes stuck tightly to her body, giving off a strangely alluring vibe. There was no way she could let Xia You go out looking like that.
“Alright~” Xia You didn’t mind herself, but since Ling Ning insisted, she obediently stayed behind.
As Ling Ning stepped out of the bathroom, she was suddenly enveloped by a fragrant breeze, followed by a sharp collision.
“Ahhh!” they both exclaid in unison.
Clutching her forehead, Ling Ning winced from the sharp pain and dizziness. Tears welled up in her eyes as she groaned internally. Why do I keep bumping into people at conventions these days? And always with my forehead! What did I ever do to deserve this?
After a mont, Ling Ning opened her eyes and looked at the person she had collided with. The other party, also clutching their forehead and sitting on the ground, wore a dress that seed oddly familiar. Upon closer inspection, Ling Ning realized it was none other than the beautiful female host from the stage earlier.
What a coincidence, Ling Ning thought. But before she could say anything, she noticed the host’s current posture exposed a clear view of her blue-and-white striped panties. Despite herself, Ling Ning’s gaze lingered for a mont.
The host, finally recovering from the impact, recognized Ling Ning imdiately. This outfit—wasn’t this the “weird girl” she’d spotted earlier on stage? Following Ling Ning’s gaze, the host instinctively looked down and realized her skirt was in disarray. Panicking, she quickly switched to a duck-sitting position to cover herself, glaring daggers at Ling Ning.
This perverted woman is staring at my panties! She’s totally a creep!
Ling Ning stood up and intended to extend a hand to help the host up. Although the host had bumped into her, Ling Ning figured it was partly her fault for suddenly walking out of the corner.
However, seeing Ling Ning approach, the host’s expression turned to one of sheer terror. Is this creepy woman finally about to make her move?
“S-Stay back! If you co any closer, I’ll scream—ahhh!”
“Ahhh!”
As fate would have it, Ling Ning, having just left the bathroom, had a bit of water on the soles of her shoes. The mont she took a step forward, her foot slipped, sending her careening to the floor. She fell forward, colliding once again with the female host.
This ti, Ling Ning ended up on top of the host. As she looked down at the host, she couldn’t help but silently lant her luck. Why does my life feel like a slapstick cody today?
“That being said... the host has quite a nice figure...” Ling Ning thought, her hands unintentionally brushing against a soft sensation. How am I supposed to explain this now?
The host froze, staring wide-eyed at Ling Ning, whose face was now alarmingly close. If Ling Ning moved just a little further, their lips would et. She could even feel Ling Ning’s warm breath on her face. For the first ti, she got a proper look at this “creepy woman’s” face. Why does soone this pretty have to be such a pervert?
It wasn’t until several monts later that the host finally found the strength to push Ling Ning off her. She looked up in horror, her mind reeling at the sheer audacity of this woman. Did she really try to make a move on in broad daylight?
The host’s fear wasn’t entirely unfounded. Though this corner of the convention center was quieter due to its distance from the main event area, it wasn’t entirely secluded. Still, if Ling Ning had truly intended to do sothing, the host knew she wouldn’t be able to fight back—not with her sprained foot.
“I-I just slipped!” Ling Ning quickly said, forcing an awkward smile. “I wasn’t trying to do anything.”
“Liar! You’re nothing but a perverted creep!” the host shouted, glaring at her with a mix of fear and anger.
Seeing the host’s wary expression, Ling Ning scratched her head in frustration. Great, now I’m officially labeled a creep. Sighing, she said, “If you’re fine, I’ll get going. I still need to grab clothes for my friend.”
Just as Ling Ning turned to leave, the host cried out in pain. Startled, Ling Ning looked back and saw the host clutching her foot. Looks like she twisted her ankle in the fall.
“Seriously?” Ling Ning sighed, walking back to crouch in front of the host.
The host’s eyes widened in panic as Ling Ning approached. Is she coming back to finish what she started? she wondered, her mind conjuring all sorts of terrifying scenarios. Her helpless state only made her fear worse.
“W-What are you going to do?” the host stamred.
“Let see your foot,” Ling Ning said firmly. “And stop yelling, or I might actually do sothing you’ll regret.”
Removing the host’s shoe carefully, Ling Ning inspected her foot. The ankle was noticeably swollen—a bad sprain. Judging by her experience, it looked fairly serious.
The host’s panic intensified. She took off my shoe! This is it—my dignity is dood! But... why hasn’t she done anything else yet? To her utter confusion, Ling Ning rely felt around the swollen area, then helped her put her shoe back on.
“Try walking,” Ling Ning said, standing up and offering her a hand.
“Huh?” The host blinked, dazed. She hesitantly stood up, wincing as she tried to take a step.
Ling Ning sighed. “It’s worse than I thought. Don’t move around too much—you’ll only make it worse. Sit here for now. I’ll go get so supplies and co back to help.”
The host stared at Ling Ning’s retreating figure in disbelief. Was she... just trying to help all along?
Now sitting alone, she hesitated. Should she leave? Or wait for this “weird woman” to return?
