"Mmm~"
Bai Yiyue slowly opened her eyes, blinking in confusion at the unfamiliar ceiling before realizing she was at Ling Ning's place after their reunion yesterday.
Turning over, she instinctively reached out, intending to cuddle up to Ling Ning, but quickly realized that Ling Ning had already gotten up. Undeterred, Bai Yiyue buried her face in Ling Ning's pillow, inhaling her lingering scent.
"Ah~ Ling Ning’s scent."
After a while, she reluctantly got out of bed. Standing in the room filled with Ling Ning's presence, Bai Yiyue couldn’t help but smile softly. "Yes, I’m really here with Ling Ning again."
Following the delicious aroma wafting through the air, Bai Yiyue found her way to the kitchen, where she spotted Ling Ning, dressed in casual howear and an apron, making breakfast. Seeing her like this, Bai Yiyue thought Ling Ning radiated a perfect “wife” aura, which made her want to act on her impulse. Quietly, she crept up behind her.
As Ling Ning humd and cooked, she didn’t notice the figure sneaking up until Bai Yiyue suddenly hugged her from behind.
"Ahhh, Ling Ning! You’re so adorable; let nuzzle you~" Bai Yiyue murmured as she playfully rubbed her face against Ling Ning’s cheek.
With a deadpan expression, Ling Ning shrugged Bai Yiyue off. "What’s with the antics so early in the morning? Go freshen up—I set out a toothbrush and towel for you, the white set. It’s easy to spot."
"Yes, ma’am!" Bai Yiyue saluted clumsily before wandering off to the bathroom to wash up.
Ling Ning watched her leave, shook her head in mild exasperation, and returned to preparing breakfast.
“So, did you all get tickets to my concert yet? I can arrange so front-row seats if you need.” Bai Yiyue asked casually during breakfast.
Ling Ning gave her a sidelong look. If she’d offered those seats before Ling Ning’s friend Li Qian had secured tickets, she would’ve happily accepted. But now, having spent over a week paying for Li Qian’s lunches as “ticket costs,” she’d committed. Even if it were standing room, she was determined to make it worthwhile.
“Huh?! Why won’t you take the front-row seats?” Bai Yiyue looked crestfallen, disappointed that her plan to invite Ling Ning onstage for a duet during the fan sing-along would now go unfulfilled.
“What seats did you get, anyway?” she asked, still hoping to figure sothing out.
“Not sure yet. I don’t have the tickets on .”
Bai Yiyue pouted but dropped the subject.

At the arranged eting point, Ling Ning and Ling Ye arrived with Bai Yiyue, who was wearing a mask. Li Qian noticed the mysterious girl standing next to Ling Ning, feeling a strong sense of familiarity but couldn’t quite place her under the mask.
"Who’s this?" Li Qian asked.
“Oh, she’s just a friend who wanted to co to the concert, so I brought her along. Just call her… Xiao Bai.”
Hearing this, Bai Yiyue nearly choked. Xiao Bai? Was Ling Ning treating her like a pet? But she went along with it, smiling and nodding. “Hello, everyone, I’m Xiao Bai.”
Hearing her voice only intensified the feeling of familiarity in Li Qian’s mind.
“Alright, alright! The train’s here—let’s get on.”
As the subway arrived, everyone boarded amidst the weekend crowd. The place was packed, especially with people heading to the concert. They’d opted for the subway because road construction and traffic jams made taxis unreliable for getting to the stadium on ti.
Feeling the cramped space, Ling Ning frowned slightly.
“Still not a fan of crowded places, huh, Ling Ning? Though you’ve improved since you were younger. Back then, you’d hide behind whenever it got crowded,” Bai Yiyue said with a nostalgic smile.
Ling Ning raised an eyebrow. Had she really been that timid as a child? After so thought, she recalled that she indeed used to be shy until her parents' accident forced her to toughen up.
“Ah, I rember Xiao Ling Ning so well—tiny and adorable, always hiding behind in crowds. But now, you’re taller than and... even more, well-endowed! It’s infuriating!” Bai Yiyue teased, pretending to be upset.
“Could you please go die sowhere?” Ling Ning replied flatly.
“No, thank you!”
While they joked, a middle-aged man in a suit standing beside Ling Ning had a sinister grin, his hand slowly creeping toward her.
He’d been eyeing her since she got on—a rare beauty with a graceful, wifely aura. Convinced that he could get away with it unnoticed, he made his move.
But the sensation he felt under his hand was... odd. Surely a young woman’s behind wouldn’t feel like this? It felt... muscular? Confused, he looked up and saw a hulking, muscular man smiling down at him with barely hidden glee. The man’s hand was still firmly on this stranger’s backside.
“Hello there, friend. I think we might have so... shared interests to discuss,” the muscle-bound man said, sidling closer to the middle-aged man.
“No, no, you’ve got the wrong idea,” the man stamred, trying to pull away.
“Oh, I’m pretty sure I don’t. Your actions just now made it quite clear. Let’s chat,” the burly man insisted, throwing an arm around his shoulders with a brotherly grin.
“Noooo!”
Amused, Bai Yiyue watched the scene unfold. Had she not been keeping an eye on Ling Ning, the creep might have gotten away with it. Thankfully, she’d quickly pulled Ling Ning aside.
“What’s going on?” Ling Ning asked, confused by Bai Yiyue’s actions.
Bai Yiyue simply shook her head, saying nothing.
