"What are you two up to?"

Ling Ning raised an eyebrow, looking at the twin sisters before her, both wearing identical maid outfits. She had only stepped away for a little while, and upon returning, she was t with this scene.

"I... I just wanted to try on a maid outfit, that's all. Don’t get the wrong idea!"

Li Qian tugged at her skirt, feeling a little embarrassed. She hadn’t felt anything special seeing Ling Ning wear the maid uniform, but once she put it on herself, she realized how utterly sha-inducing it was—especially under Ling Ning's gaze. She couldn't help feeling flustered and unsure of herself.

Ling Ning turned her head to Li ng, who was also dressed in a maid outfit. She asked dryly, "And you? Sa reason as your sister?"

Li ng, also embarrassed under Ling Ning's scrutiny, stamred a bit. "Well... I an, we are sisters, so having the sa thoughts isn’t unusual, right?"

Li Qian nodded vigorously, agreeing with her sister.

Upon hearing Li ng's response, Ling Ning nearly burst into tears out of frustration. Sisters, huh? Since when were you two so in sync? She sighed helplessly—since they wanted to play dress-up, let them. It was clear that Chu ngyao had a hand in this. Without her pushing them from behind, there was no way these two would have ended up in maid outfits.

Turning her gaze, Ling Ning saw Chu ngyao behind the counter, smiling like a sly fox. Sensing Ling Ning's stare, Chu ngyao looked over and gave her a conspiratorial grin.

Ling Ning rolled her eyes. Forget it, she thought. If the boss approved, what more could she say?

The two new additions—twin sisters with identical looks and outfits—were a big hit with the custors. Li Qian and Li ng, for so reason, were incredibly enthusiastic, working with such gusto that one might have mistaken them for the official employees of the café.

Watching the twins rush back and forth, Ling Ning walked over to the counter and asked Chu ngyao curiously, "What did you say to them to get them this hyped up?"

Chu ngyao gave her a mysterious smile without saying anything.

"Tch~"

Seeing Chu ngyao's expression, Ling Ning knew she wouldn’t get an answer, so she turned around and went back to work.

"Li Qian, you ssed up the order for Table 10. Go fix it, quickly!"

"Li ng, did you forget sothing? The order for Table 5 still hasn’t gone out—it’s been ages!"

"And stop glaring at each other like that. What if you scare the custors? Smile, both of you! Do you understand what smiling ans?"

"......"

Although Li Qian and Li ng were full of energy, this was their first ti working. Even though serving tea and water wasn't hard, they still made a few mistakes here and there. Despite saying she wouldn’t interfere, Ling Ning always ended up stepping in whenever the twins ran into trouble.

Instead of having it easier with two extra pairs of hands, Ling Ning actually ended up being busier. It was a bit frustrating, but she didn’t mind too much—she wasn’t one to sit idle anyway.

Wei Suozhai had gotten up early today because he had planned since yesterday to make a trip to the maid café and enjoy himself. He had been so excited about it that he barely got any sleep.

The maid café was quite far from his place; he had to take several subway stops and walk a considerable distance. He carefully checked his pockets and bag to make sure there weren’t any USB drives hidden before leaving the house.

This was a habit he'd picked up ever since his treasured collection had gone missing. Every ti he left the house, he’d check himself to make sure he wasn’t carrying any USB drives. Only once he was sure would he head out.

He really couldn’t afford another loss. With only four USB drives left, losing even one would be a huge blow.

However, Wei Suozhai failed to notice that two small USB drives were quietly lying inside the hood of his jacket.

At the café entrance.

Wei Suozhai hesitated, pacing back and forth. Although he had co here determined to visit the maid café and have a good ti, every ti he reached the door and saw all the young, beautiful maids inside, he just couldn't bring himself to step in.

Even though people called him an "experienced old driver", in reality, all his experience was theoretical. And when he saw a beautiful girl in person, he couldn’t help but feel an inexplicable shyness, which stopped him from going in.

"Custor, are you not coming in?"

Just as Wei Suozhai was about to give up and leave, a clear voice sounded behind him. He turned around to see a pretty maid with a gentle, "wifely" deanor smiling at him.

"N-no, I an, um… I…"

"I noticed you’ve been pacing around here for quite so ti. Are you sure you don't want to co in and have a look?" Ling Ning tilted her head, observing the sowhat shady-looking otaku in front of her. She had been watching him loiter in front of the café for a while and had even suspected he might be up to no good.

And so, Wei Suozhai found himself, in a daze, following Ling Ning into the very maid café he had been dreaming about visiting. Even after sitting down at a table, he still felt disoriented. He never imagined he’d actually make it inside, and so easily at that...

"Wow, those twin maids are amazing—their looks and figures are exactly the sa. And that mature woman at the counter is great too. Too bad she’s a bit lacking in the chest departnt. Oh wow~ that pretty maid over there—she’s flat as a board, but she’s so gorgeous. I gotta give her a thumbs up…"

Wei Suozhai narrowed his eyes, taking in the maids around the café. This was his first ti being in such close proximity to so many pretty maids, and he felt a blissful warmth in his heart.

"M-Master, may I take your order?"

As Wei Suozhai's mind wandered, a clear voice snapped him back to reality. He realized he still hadn’t ordered anything and quickly grabbed the nu, hastily selecting a few items.

Once the pretty maid left, Wei Suozhai let out a sigh of relief. As expected, having a pretty girl near him made him so nervous he couldn’t even speak properly.
