"Wow, she's amazing~"
Jiang Xue watched as Ling Ning skillfully moved around the cafe. Whether she was entertaining custors by playing gas, helping out in the kitchen, or brewing tea at the bar, Ling Ning handled everything with effortless ease.
Jiang Xue then looked at herself—she was good for nothing, utterly hopeless. All she did was eat and ss things up, practically dragging the cafe down.
"Learn from her properly. If you had even one-fifth of Ling Ning's abilities, I wouldn't have to worry so much," Chu ngyao's voice ca from behind, startling Jiang Xue as she felt a hand patting her shoulder. The tone was heavy, filled with sincere encouragent.
"One-fifth...?" Jiang Xue thought about it carefully. If she put in the effort, maybe she could achieve that. In an instant, she was filled with determination, setting her sights on becoming Ling Ning's woman—wait, no, soone like Ling Ning.
With her newfound motivation, Jiang Xue promptly managed to break over a dozen plates, spill three cups of milk tea, and accidentally sar a slice of cake all over a custor's face. Chu ngyao held her forehead in frustration. She was starting to think Jiang Xue might be beyond saving.
Luckily, the custor was one of Ling Ning's regulars, and after Ling Ning personally apologized, the matter was dropped.
"I-I'm really sorry..."
Jiang Xue hung her head, too embarrassed to face either Chu ngyao or Ling Ning.
"Sigh... What am I supposed to do with you? Forget it! Go take out the trash. Don't tell you can't even handle that." Chu ngyao let out a deep sigh. A clumsy girl in real life truly was a disaster. She couldn't quite recall what she had been thinking when she hired Jiang Xue in the first place.
"Ling Ning, please keep an eye on her for ." Chu ngyao's voice carried a hint of helplessness.
"No problem~"

"Er Gouzi, the big city is sothing else. Even a place like this looks so fancy." The blonde young man gazed around the interior, excitent written all over his face. He noted that the girls here were of a much higher quality than the ones they'd seen on the streets—and they were dressed so provocatively, looking ready for action.
"Yeah, yeah!" Er Gouzi nodded dumbly as he stared at the maids in the cafe, thinking to himself that the city sure had its quirks. This must be one of those maid cafes he'd seen online.
"W-Welco back, Master."
Despite the two n exuding an aura of tacky, rural punk, the maid greeting them showed no hint of disdain. To her, everyone was equal—there were no distinctions between rich and poor. Besides, hadn't she seen enough of people pretending to be pigs only to eat the tiger?
"Did you hear that, Er Gouzi? She called us 'Master'!" The blonde nudged Er Gouzi's arm.
"I'm not deaf; of course I heard it."
Jiang Xue frowned. She found the way these two were staring at her quite offensive. They made no attempt to hide it, their eyes roving over her legs and chest without any sha. She bit her lip lightly. "Master, please follow ."
She led them to an empty table and handed the nu to the blonde. "What would you like to order, Master? We have a selection of..." she began her usual spiel.
After she finished, the blonde turned to Er Gouzi with a grin. "See, the city really is different. You can even order food at a place like this."
Er Gouzi nodded, taking the nu and giving it a thorough look.
"You've got to be kidding! A simple little cake costs dozens of bucks—why don't you just rob us instead!" Er Gouzi slamd the nu down on the table. "Forget the food, let's just do what we ca here for and leave," he said to the blonde.
The blonde glanced at the nu, nodding in agreent.
Er Gouzi's voice was loud enough to draw the attention of several other custors. Ling Ning, hearing the commotion, approached them. Chu ngyao wasn't around, so she decided to handle it herself.
"Is there sothing about our establishnt that doesn't et your satisfaction?" Ling Ning asked as she approached, her voice polite.
The blonde stared at Ling Ning, his eyes practically glued to her. He realized that this girl was even more beautiful than the one who had greeted them, and she had a better figure too.
"Your prices are ridiculous. We don't want to order anything; we just want to get straight to business. What's your price?" The blonde tried to act like a seasoned custor, though he was really just parroting what he'd read in novels.
"Get straight to business? Price?" Ling Ning frowned. Judging by their lecherous gazes and tone, she understood what they were implying. She felt exasperated—how did these two morons mistake a maid cafe for a brothel?
Though annoyed, Ling Ning forced a smile. "I'm sorry, gentlen, but we don't offer that kind of service here."
"Huh? You don't? You think we're just so country bumpkins, huh? I'm telling you, don't look down on ! I've got money!" Outraged, the blonde pulled out a stack of cash from his bag and slapped it onto the table.
"If you continue to cause a disturbance, I won't hesitate to call security," Ling Ning said, her smile fading.
"Forget it, forget it! Blondie, just stop. The boss told us to keep a low profile, rember? If they don't offer it here, we'll just go sowhere else." Er Gouzi tugged at the blonde's arm, trying to calm him down.
"Damn it. Don't let see you again, or else..." The blonde grumbled, throwing a few parting threats before leaving. Ling Ning paid him no mind.
"Sorry for the trouble, everyone. As an apology, all orders today are 30% off, and you can take three photos with our lovely maids for free!" Chu ngyao reappeared out of nowhere. Though she spoke with a smile, Ling Ning could tell her heart was bleeding at the concession.
"Did I ss up again?" Jiang Xue asked nervously.
"No, you didn't do anything wrong."
"If I catch those two out in the streets, I swear I won't let them leave without a few broken bones," Chu ngyao growled through gritted teeth. Those two had really cost her today.
Ling Ning patted her shoulder. "Let's just pretend I never brought the little ones today."

"Er Gouzi, I can't let this go!"
Outside the cafe, the blonde was still fuming. Just thinking about what had happened inside filled him with rage, and he no longer felt like looking for fun.
Er Gouzi sighed. "You have to let it go. The boss told us to keep a low profile. If you stir up any more trouble, don't bla for not warning you. When the boss gets mad, he really will kill you." Er Gouzi knew his friend well—he was good in many ways but had a hot temper and never let go of grudges.
The blonde seed to recall sothing, his body shivering slightly. Though he said nothing more, it was clear he couldn't truly let it go.
