(Drakken’s POV)
I was sitting down in my chair that night, rubbing my neck as I felt a cold chill enter the room through the window. There was a familiar feeling that crept up on my skin as I looked to the side, seeing a shadow enter through the balcony door.
"Hm..." I said as I saw Thanatos walking inside the room, "Thought you were wandering about."
He stopped in the middle of the room, looking around. His glowing white eyes glowed in the shadows of the room. He was wearing black robes that covered his feminine body. I found it strange and really annoying that he turned Aemon’s body into that of a woman’s.
But whatever, I really don’t give a shit.
"I was...." He said, "Until I heard of your decision."
"Oh yea?" I said as I raised an eyebrow, "What of it?"
"You wish to set your son on a nation?" He asked , "Are you sure he is ready?"
"It doesn’t matter if he is ready or not." I told him, "What matters is that he will erge from that a man. I will ensure that he is fit to lead this House, I will no longer repeat my motives, Thanatos. You know as well as I do that he needs to be the one who leads it."
"Riktor Drakkengard." Thanatos turned to face , "I have seen it; Fate. Both you and I have seen it. Riktor Drakkengard is the one who leads the Trinity. For soone who has the power to peer into the Future and gaze upon Fate, you surely don’t speak about it."
"I have no need to do such a thing." I said with a serious expression, "Knowing what happens is fucking boring and you know that."
"Of course." Thanatos said, "Because I know the ultimate truth: everything dies. Everyone will eventually be reduced to nothing. I am the representation of that truth. No matter what, everyone will fade to nothing, their corporeal forms will be reduced to dust, and whatever happens after that is out of their control. There is nothing anyone can do about it."
"And this form of yours is proof of that?" I asked, "You seized Aemon Targaryen’s remains and molded them into your own Vessel? For what reason?"
"To prove to everyone else that we are different. We are not mortals like these insects beneath us. We are not like the filth that they call dragons." Thanatos narrowed his eyes, "We are superior. You feel the sa, Drakken. Even your wives, you see them as inferiors. Your children are the closest things to what you are. They are half-infernals, Drakken. They have your blood, the power of Drakken. I choose to do what I want because I amyou, Drakken. I am your embodint. And I decided to distort Aemon’s body simply because that is what you wanted. You wanted Aemon’s mory to be tarnished. It is that simple."
I stood up, "Hm." I said, "Is that what you ca here to tell ? That’s the reason you did this, because I wanted it to happen?"
"I ca to ask you what your true intentions with those children are?" He said, "I have known you for centuries. I was born from your very desire to kill everything. To wish that everything were dead. Sol’Tyr was born due to your hatred for War, the reason why you lost what you cared for back then. We are two sides of the coin that is Drakken, the God of War and Death. I have known you for that long and yet....I have never expected you to desire children. You have had hundreds of opportunities and yet.....not a single ti...you have sired a single child."
"That is no concern of yours." I walked over to the table and poured wine into a cup, "Worry about sothing else that is not , Thanatos."
"I know what it is." Thanatos said as I felt his gaze upon my back, "This world has made you weak. I can feel it. Don’t you miss it, Drakken? Infernis?"
I looked at him as I took a sip of the wine, "What does it matter?"
He narrowed his eyes, "You don’t?"
"I do." I said, "It is our Ho."
"So why must you sire so many children here, in a world that is not your own." He said, "Why bother?"
"I need them." I said, "You know the answer to that. You are , after all."
"No, no." He shook his head, "That is a surface-level answer. Oh no.....this world has made you weak and soft, it has unearthed the desire for you to truly be a Father. Your use of their power is obvious, but.....that’s not it. You truly wanted children. Centuries of that suppressed desire suddenly bursting open...."
"Shut the fuck up." I said with a scowl, "What do you want? Why are you truly here?"
"Astorias." He said with a slight smile, "The Host of Death."
"I sealed her Blessing." I told him, "It is too dangerous."
"You have so much hopes for Riktor Drakkengard and while that is warranted, you have not seen the potential that Astorias holds." Thanatos said, "Combined with my power, she will be the greatest danger this Realm has ever faced."
"And that is the problem." I said
"How?" He asked, "That is what you want, no? Do you not want a child that can destroy everything just like you can? To spread Chaos?"
"Astorias is but a girl." I said with a serious scowl, "Too young for to even consid-"
"Enough of the bias!" He cut off, pointing at as his long white hair got in his face, "You are too focused in seeing your daughters as Daddy’s Girls.....when you can’t even see what they truly are; Drakkengards!!! Astorias will be a fierce and powerful warrior who will pile bodies up higher than what you can comprehend. She will be my perfect Herald! I will train her to be the greatest power that will rival Riktor and Sylas!"
"Hm....." I said, "Is that so?"
"I peered into Fate." Thanatos said, "All of your children will be strong. Even that one with the purest soul; Vaella. But of all of them...only Three will be at the top."
"Oh, is that so?" I took another sip, "And who might they be?"
"Riktor, Sylas, and Astorias." He said as he held three fingers up, "And I will ensure that Astorias will be superior to them. Because Death is Absolute. Death is inevitable. Everything will die and Astorias will wield my power and-"
"Astorias is my daughter." I told him with a serious expression,
"I won’t let you warp her fate to your whim."
