(Third Person POV)

Drakken set the scroll down, which had a bright red magic circle with glowing runes on it, "Worry not." He said, "I will not bind either of you to it."

"W-What are you going to do?" Alyssa asked

Drakken pulled out two small vials from his coat and he opened them, "Each vial contains blood from both your husbands." He said seriously, pouring the blood on the middle of the circle, "I will bind them to ."

"What.....?" Daella said, "You said-"

"This is to prove that I will stay true to my word." Drakken said as he cut his wrist open, draining so blood on top of the mixed pool, "The Divine Blood Pact is absolute. Anything that violates it will create so sort of effect. Even I cannot change its ability."

As his wound closed, he snapped his fingers and the blood glowed brightly, mixing together.

"Blood: Aemon Targaryen, Baelon Targaryen, and Drakken"

The blood emitted a bit of smoke as it hardened into a crystal.

"Drakken....." Alyssa said

"Terms: Should sothing happen to Aemon and Baelon Targaryen and Drakken is involved, the blood effigy will glow crimson and begin to bleed. Should they be killed by sothing involving Drakken, the blood effigy will erupt into shards and the crystals will embed themselves to Drakken’s heart."

Daella looked at this with a worried look, "Is this a trick?"

Drakken shook his head, "No."

The crystals ford a small effigy, taking the form of a furled up dragon, dull in color.

"Divine Blood Pact"

Alyssa watched this happen, feeling a strange surge of power.

"It is done." He grabbed the effigy, "here."

He handed the effigy to Alyssa, who grabbed it carefully, "Lord Drakken...." She said, "What does this...."

"I am letting you live your lives with your husbands, peacefully." Drakken stood up, "But should sothing drastic happen and it is my doing, that will explode and the shards will fire at , embedding themselves into my heart. The pain is excruciating."

Daella gulped, "I....." She placed her hand near her chest, "Drakken...."

"I am done." He said seriously, "This is how serious I am."

He walked past them and left the room.

Alyssa and Daella stare at each other, a bit confused.

"Is this so sort of sche?" Daella asked Alyssa, "Sister...."

"He sounds serious." Alyssa said, "M-Maybe it is finally over."

"After all this ti."

(Drakken’s POV)

[Harrenhal, A Few Weeks Later]

I walked into Sylas’s chambers, "You wanted to see ?" I asked the boy who was at his desk, working on sothing strange, "Sylas. I am quite busy."

"Father." He said as he stood up and looked at , "Here, I have sothing to show you."

I walked over, "What is it?"

He gestured at what he had on the table, "Look for yourself."

I saw the object; it was a bulky crossbow with three bows set atop the stock. The wood was dark in color with several iron attachnts, keeping it together. The craftsmanship was nicely done, and detail was put in the stock, which mattered the most. I looked at the bows and the string; they were decently made.

"Hm....." I said, "Is this thing what you showed ?"

Sylas wiped his hand with a rag, "Yes." He said, "I’ve been building it myself. What do you think?"

I grabbed it from the bottom stock, "It’s bulky." I said as I picked it up and pointed it at the wall, "Balance is almost perfect for its weight. The material seems durable. The rivets and trigger need adjustnts."

"R-Right...." He said, "Constructive criticism."

I aid down the sights, "Sights need alignnt too." I continued, "The stock needs so padding for comfort. The grip needs to be more comfortable, for sothing his big and bulky. All in all, it needs work."

I set it back down.

"Right....." He said, "But you haven’t shot it..."

He gave what looked like so sort of makeshift loader containing three thick bolts.

"Hm...." I said as I took the loader and cranked the bowstrings back, using a small handle, "The crank is well-crafted."

"Yes...." He said with a nod

I loaded the bolts and felt as the bolts adjusted almost imdiately, freeing the loader imdiately to remove it. I pulled it out and set it to the side.

I aid it at the wall, pressing on the trigger, and in an instant, the three bolts fired off in a successive manner, shooting straight at the wall. There was a loud crack as the stone was pierced with surprising power. The three bolts were lodged into the wall, so cracks surrounding it.

"Ah...." Sylas said, "Not inside...mother is going to be mad."

I looked at the crossbow, "Has so kick to it." I said, "The stock needs to be redesigned in order to adjust for recoil."

"But what did you think about the power???" Sylas asked

"Comndable." I said as I set it down, "Could use so work. If we adjust the tension of the strings, we could add significantly more power to it. Adjusting the recoil will be crucial, and we need it to be stable in order to be accurate. It needs a lot of work."

"Right....." He said as he scratched his cheek

"But for a prototype, it is quite the weapon." I said as I patted his shoulder, "Especially for a 12-year-old. Well done."

His eyes bead, "R-Really?"

I nodded, "Yes." I said, "Do keep this safeguarded, anyone could just grab it and load it. The damage it could do is dangerous. So be careful with it."

"I was thinking of taking it to grandsire." Sylas said, "Is that okay? I wanted to show him. We could add a new product to the market?"

"No." I said, "You’re not selling this. This belongs to you and by extension, to the Duskguard."

"Ah....." Sylas said, "Well, that makes sense."

"You can go and show it to him if you want." I told him, "But do not make any business pitch. If I hear you do that, I will destroy the thing and the schematics. And you will be barred from creating anything similar. Do you understand?"

He nods, "Yes."

"Good." I ruffled his hair, "I have work to do."

I walked towards the door.

"Father." He called out

I stopped and looked at him, "What is it?"

"Are you going to bring her back?" He asked suddenly

I narrowed my eyes, "Your Mother?"

He nods, not making eye-contact.

"I will." I said as I turned around, "But now is not the right ti."

"One day, she’ll be back."
