(Third Person POV)

[Dream Sequence Start]

Alysanne sat on the bed inside the King’s Chambers. She could not believe that her husband was no longer alive.

"Jaehaerys....." she sniffed, "I....."

"His remains will be returned and he will be allowed a proper funeral." Riktor said as he slowly walked towards a table, setting down his gratsword on it, "The sa could be said for your sons."

Alysanne looked at him, tears in her eyes, "Why are you doing this?" She asked him, "Do you not have sha? Was Daenerys not enough for you? Rhaenys???"

Riktor was wearing a black cloak that was clipped on his coat, which he unclipped and removed. He then set it on the table and patted it, his large back facing the Queen Dowager.

"Tyrian’Cal is the best way for your House to survive." He said seriously, "By having you and your daughters hostage, it will ensure that your grandsons will show themselves and surrender. Those three are quite the pain."

"But....." Alysanne looked down, "I...."

"You bear the Mark of the Trinity still. My Father favored you still, despite his hostility," He looked at her, "He decided to give you Youth, so do not worry about your age."

Alysanne clutched her dress, "This is wrong....."

"You are the Queen Dowager. And a Targaryen. You are of political value, as are your daughters. Especially the ones that were widowed. They are easy pickings for the vultures." Riktor said, "By declaring Tyrian’Cal, I have made them untouchable. All but you, of course."

Alysanne gritted her teeth, "You are a boy. Maegelle considers you her son....as does Saera....." she said, "This is not right.....!"

"Do you wish for to undo my declaration?" Riktor asked with a raised eyebrow, "And leave you and your daughters to be picked apart by the vultures that are the Great Houses? They will take what they can get to ensure their safety, knowing full well that the Dragon’s Blood is special and will be defended well."

Alysanne looked at him, "You....why are you this way?" She asked, "Sotis I think you are worse than Drakken."

"That is quite the claim. Father has done much worse things to your Family than I ever would." Riktor told her, "I act in the na of War, I am The War Lord. I do things for the sake of warfare, to establish order through destruction. Father rely did things for the sake of his enjoynt. I take my own decisions seriously, this is not sothing I personally want but it is the right choice to make."

"For what?" Alysanne asked

"To have your boys surrender and discuss a proper course for the future." He said, "With House Drakkengard and House Targaryen unified, the Realm will prosper. The threat beyond the North will be no issue and the Essosi will not stand a chance."

"You destroyed my city." Alysanne said, "How can we prosper?"

"We have an over abundance of resources, Queen Dowager." He said, "Lyssa’s gold, the Desert God’s minerals and spice, Glavius’s Ore.....we can rebuild the city with ease and improve it significantly. Adding proper infrastructure, better working sewers, clean water that is superior to whatever you have here. The Duskguard will clean the city and keep it clean for generations to co."

"So your excuse to destroy is that you will rebuild it?" Alysanne asked

"That is but the whole point." He said, "The Great War will soon be upon us. What happens here is but a glimpse of what the future has in store. Mass Destruction followed by Mass Rebuilding. And only the Trinity will rise to the top and improve the world. That is my Father’s goal."

"Your Father is insane." Alysanne scowled

"So you say." He said, "But.....his word is truth."

"And you believe it?" Alysanne asked

"War is political, you know that. But at the end of the day, the strong win and the weak lose." He said seriously, "And only the strong can protect the weak. And as of right now, that is what I am doing. Through Tyrian’Cal."

Alysanne closed her eyes, "Do you promise that my daughters will be safe?" She asked, "And their children?"

"That is Tyrian’Cal." He said seriously, "I do not take that lightly."

"F-Fine." She said softly,

"Do it."

[Dream Sequence End]

*************

Alysanne woke up, this ti she was much calr than the day before.

"What?" She said as her head throbbed, "That dream.....ugh, My head."

"Mother?" She heard a voice call out for her, "Are you well?"

She looked to the side to see Daella walking up to her, "Daella." She said, "My dear, what is the matter?"

The Princess reached the bed and had a frown on her face, "I...." She started, "Well, the thing is....I am worried about Aemon."

Alysanne reached for her, "My dear." She said, "He is fine. Your Father has told that their assaults are doing well. Soon, this entire conflict will be behind us."

"But....." Daella said softly, "I fear sothing might happen to him."

Alysanne looked down, the dream being fresh in her mind still. She didn’t know what to take from it, the entire thing. She figured it was so sort of vision or premonition about the end of their House. Drakken’s sons were grown in that dream and it was sothing that unsettled her.

"I know." She said, "I fear sothing dire might happen as well, my dear. It is not sothing I wish to linger on...."

Daella looked at her, "Mother...." She said softly, "If....If I don’t give him a son, would he hate ?"

Alysanne frowned, "My dear, of course not." She said, "Why would you think that? Don’t say that."

She sat at the edge of the bed and pulled her to a hug. Daella rely took it in, closing her eyes as her mother gently caressed her sides.

"I just want all of this to be over." She said softly, "I want my children to live peacefully."

"I know." Alysanne said, "As do I, my dear."

"As do I."
